DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Too O the Mornin Dads! Trust all are having a good weekend. DS heads back to school today so back to the empty nester routine. Enjoy Sunday guys! (10 / 75)

Leaving for the boat ride tomorrow. I may stop by to post. If you hear about any drunken shenanigans in Mexico, odds are it's me. I got the drink package. See you all on the other side.

Fair Winds and Safe Travels my Friend!

Do you watch "The Curse of Oak Island"?

Holy Shmoly, I Love "The Curse of Oak Island"!

Morning chaps from the mother country. Need Duke and UK to do the business to hold up the bracket, as I had Texas over Gonzaga.

Mother’s Day here today, so presents for the Lady K. We have slow roasted Lamb with roast baby potatoes and a beetroot and feta salad.

Maybe washed down with a couple of bottles of Napa’s finest.

Have a great day chaps.

Morning folks.
One more hour of work.
Half an hour to drive home.
A quarter hour to maybe grab some cereal.
A fraction of an hour to fall asleep.

Holy Shmoly, I Love "The Curse of Oak Island"!

 Well, that proves it.

Love it too... even though it's pretty much guaranteed that they'll never find much of anything.

Interesting. Few more weeks until that happens here. May 12.

Wow! Sounds amazing!

Good planning

On her part
Sounds like a racket! ;)
I think (maybe its just me) we get gipped(will have to look up spelling for that) on fathers day. If we get anything, its maybe a tie.

On a different note...
Work on the car was done yesterday. When we had everything apart, noticed the water pump was leaking just a touch, so...replaced that too. Long day. Today will be more sorting and packing and then drive home tomorrow. Don't know how many of these fabulously fun weekends I can handle. ;)

I've know about Oak Island ever since I too read about it in Reader's Digest. ;) I agree about not finding the treasure, I think it's already been found. I do like seeing the stuff they are finding and all the history.

Morning all, from sunny California. Plans for the day: breakfast with younger son (done, went to Black Bear Diner, so I won't be needing lunch), games with such family is here this afternoon, and clearing out a bit of garage to fill the trashcans when they go out this evening.

I think I read the same Reader's Digest, although I haven't been following the most recent developments.

the weather this weekend is sure a nice change from all the rain we have been having here in cali. finally was able to make a dump run this morning.
My daughter loves black bear,my parents take her every time she goes to visit them.

Looks like I will be holding down the bottom of the bracket challenge before long. Time to cheer for TTU.

Hope Lady K enjoyed her day. I was salivating until you got to the feta. :crazy2:

Safe travels.

Afternoon from a Sunny and warm 14C Westfield NB. It's a garage day today,
time to take off the winter tires, get the Harleys and Hondas ready for the season.
Enjoy your Sunday.

My dad had a Honda CB350 that I learned on and got my license with. Wish I had that bike. He also had a Harley knucklehead but that was in his late teens. Wish I had that one too.

Evening All,

Got through our first volleyball tournament, falling in the 2-1 in the semi-final. It was a pretty good match, 3rd set was 16-14 for the bad guys. Our best match was the last one and I think the boys may have found their identity, guess we will see next weekend.

So you read the condensed version in Reader's Digest, the Curse of Oak Isle. ;)

You get something??? Wow!

Better to find stuff (water pump) like that ahead of time rather than on the highway again.

Me too! Which is also the same start the brothers got.

I agree about not finding the treasure, I think it's already been found.

Not sure if there even was anything there, tbh.
Certainly if there was anything written... it's long ago rotted away.

I do like seeing the stuff they are finding and all the history.

::yes:: That's what keeps me going too. It's on right now, as I type this. Will be watching it shortly.

I brought mine in... oy

So I'm told "We'll pick up your bike for free."

Sweet! So I call them and.. "That expired March 1st". I'm not blaming them. My fault for procrastinating and not checking.
Had the 8K Km maintenance done, rear brakes, new lithium battery (costs double a regular one, but lasts 4x as long.) plus charger... cost over a $1K.

He also had a Harley knucklehead but that was in his late teens. Wish I had that one too.

::yes::
