DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Depending on how much time you have...
Take the tour at Alexander Keith's Brewery.
Visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Quite a few items from the Titanic there.
Take a stroll along the waterfront boardwalk. You'll dock at one end of it.
Visit Fairview Lawn Cemetery where there are 3? 4? rows of mostly identical tombstones where 121 Titanic victims are buried.
Try Cows ice cream. Buy a Cows T-shirt.

Been decades since I've been. But do know it's a beautiful city.

Make sure you try real poutine. Best ones are at the same place you would get...
Montreal Smoked Meat. Don't even think of leaving until you've had Montreal Smoked Meat on rye. Schwartz's Deli is probably the most well known. But Reuben's, or Snowden would be good too.
Visit Notre Dame Basilica
Visit Old Montreal
See Olympic Stadium. The biggest white elephant in Canada.
For fun, you could visit La Ronde. Think Six Flags, but in French.

Thanks pkondz, These all sound great and will add them to our planning notes.

Really liked Poor Boys Gourmet, awesome Lobster Roll, but that was about 8 years ago. We LOVED Bar Harbor. We ended up changing our route and staying there a few days.

Grill 23 is a good steak, but a bit business dinner-y
There's a nice brunch at Stephanies on Newbury
I concur with pkondz On Schwarz's (though he's obviously the expert), I had a great sandwich and frites there. The queue was horrendous though.

Thank you Dan. We've been to Bar Harbor a couple of times already and looking forward to seeing it again. We will add these to our notes.

That would be awesome Darcy, feels like it's been forever since we saw you last.

It does seem like that doesn't it.

Halifax is a great spot, lots for you to see without going to far from the dock.

Morning, kiddies.

I do not like mornings, kiddies.
How are things in your neck of the woods?

Still cold but warning up.

We were at EP when this bit of pixie dust happened. :tinker:

Good afternoon from a defrosted KY. Have the day's Premier League games saved to replay. I even set Google assistant to speak with British accent.

Good. Played tennis this morning. Did ok.

Morning everyone from a warm WDW. Today we are doing the Aquq Tour at Ep, then just going to hangout at the resort and relax.:snail:

Evening boys from a frosty London. Housemade Bacon Cheeseburgers and coleslaw for dinner tonight. Maybe a Basil H is in my immediate future. Tennis this morning, won all 3.
I was supposed to be doing the 10k Winter Run tomorrow, but my achilles is a bit tight and with the cold, it's not worth the risk. I may have to miss the SB shenanigans tomorrow night, I have a early meeting on Monday, which is a shame as I was looking forward to it. Well I was if the Rams won. Norm what's the likelihood of that? Do you have any opinions on the NFL's perceived bias towards our friends in Foxboro?

I even set Google assistant to speak with British accent.
Game on. Let's see how "British" this thing is.

Ask it what car has a decent electrical system. Ask it if it knows a dentist. Ask it what the he!l is broiling.
If it knows the answer to any of those, it's about as British as Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

Good. Played tennis this morning. Did ok.
Good man. Any 60 year olds to batter today?

That's fantastic Rob! I knew I should have picked you to be my overlord.

Have a great Saturday chaps, may your day be a 10 minute wait for the Haunted Mansion.
