Will have to work part of the day myself, but I suppose that's not as bad as having to work all of it.
(of course, I get no O/T or any other extra compensation either way, so it doesn't really make much difference)

And in today's crybaby challenge, Governor Thanos lost his other Federal Court case, requiring Medicaid recipients to work to receive Medicaid. I'm not sure how you force someone with a disability to work, especially if they have a 50 IQ and no physical functioning ability. So, since he lost his case, he has now removed the vision and dental benefits of Medicaid, which will just force more lawsuits. And, because my wife works tangentially with that population, the dental benefit was pulling teeth.

A credit to his belief system that one is...
Our Gov may consider The Cornerstone Speech to be his favorite bed time story, but the bloke y'all acquired makes him seem almost harmless.

Our friends are coming over Saturday, we are having Dogs and Burgers as it's 4th July week so just arranging that whist watching Ladies Wimbledon. They want to pick my brains over Disney, as they want to go next year. I'm really not comfortable telling someone how to spend about 12k of their hard earned dough, so I might just give them the booking thresholds and the MDE stuff.

You're not telling them how to spend their money per se. I think they've already decided to spend the money and ultimately to spend or not to spend is their choice. I think being able to give people pointers is one of the best things you could do as a friend. Think about some of the mistakes or things you'd wished you'd done differently. So, it's not telling them to spend their money, it's trying to help them get the most out of what they spend.

I have a question for y'all. Maybe even non-DVC members would know this.

Someone told me if you were going to buy DVC resale and DVC direct from Disney, it was better to do it in that order vs. Disney first and then resale. I do not recall what the reason(s) is/are though.

Have any of you looked at this and why resale first would be better? I think the reason I forgot was because I'm already a DVC member, so I can't do resale first anyway. Trying to find out for another DIS boards member who's considering DVC. If there's a thread (will see if I can find one) where this is discussed, then just tell me to get off your lawn.

Have any of you looked at this and why resale first would be better?

I can't think of a financial one. If you are chasing a particular resale resort rather than CC, I guess you will pick up a contract quicker on the resale market, and then go on the waiting list with Disney, for your 75 points and the full benefit, and Disney will be able to match the use year. Norm is a DVC whiz, so will know more than me

I know. Buy the resale contract at a reduced price. But, you don't get "extra perks" since didn't buy direct from Disney. Then, buy a 25 point contract (minimum add on) from Disney and receive same benefits of all DVC members.

Plus, you get points at your choice of home resorts, then 25 to borrow & bank for an extra trip every third year or extra nights split stay. Compare points a night at Boardwalk to Grand Floridian.

Cheers back at you. Enjoyed my time at the watering hole. I know the bartender so she gives me a good pour. There was about 50/50 split between the fans. The Columbians were mostly quiet until they tied it up in extra time. Then they went nuts. You will be happy to know they left quietly after the kicks. The suspense was probably not what you needed but England advances, so I imagine it brightened you day a bit.
