DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Afternoon boys, it's getting a bit sticky for the Germans at the minute. Hey ho, I'll try and hold back the tears. It will probably change though.
Beautiful day again in London, 30c.

Not saying anything yet.

Frankly, I couldn't care less about either of them, or the original Star Wars films. Unpopular view in this group, I know. :duck:

May the Force not be with you.

:rotfl:We are pretty big on our history here in the East End. From the Industrial revolution, the world's port, and through the Blitz, we try and instill the spirit and the pride. I agree though mate, a whole apple is just spoiling him.

Did at least it have a worm in it for a little protein?

Well pretty sure my World Cup pool is over. Germany done, France or Argentina will be done by the weekend. What will Brazil do?

Screw it, not winning any money. England all the way!!!

And then the fight started.
Nah, I'd love to see Scotland here. I would wish way more ill on France, Germany and the Argies than Scotland. Scotland has never been that much of a rivalry in my generation as they did away with the annual England v Scotland game, because of the tear-ups. Awesome fans as well. That's not a mutual feeling, I know......

I was opening a shop during the Euros a few years ago, and watched us against Portugal in a republican pub in Northern Ireland. There were 4 of us, and were quietly told by the Landlord that we should leave for our own safety. He was deadly serious.

My family ancestry goes back to Scotland. DW's is Welsh and Irish, her grandmother was a war bride from London. Lots of ties for us.

Wow!

England! England! England!
Enjoying the he11 out of the World Cup. This morning, mostly watching Sweden/Mexico but checking in occasionally Germany/Korea.

Just saw on my phone Germany out! Loosing to S. Korea in a game of this magnitude? Ouch!
Sounds like a weekend of celebration. You taking your son out for a legal adult beverage?
Yes but his bday is not til the 10th just celebrating with grandparents this weekend as we will be at DaWorld. I will be taking him first to the UK, then France, then Japan, then Italy, then Mexico then back to America and then wherever else he wants to go for his first legal drink.

Frankly, I couldn't care less about either of them, or the original Star Wars films. Unpopular view in this group, I know. :duck:
Darth-Vader-I-FIND-YOUR-LACK-OF-FAITH-DISTURBING.jpg

My predicted finish was Germany, Brazil, Argentina and then France.
Sorry about your results for you but not for the struggling / failing teams - Brazil is the only one of that group I would pull for
Thanks - Should have been able to figure that out - well done sir!

England! England! England!
We'll take all the support we can get. I'll send you a scarf and a little flag for your car.

I will look forward to that tour with both my kids. Sounds awesome buddy.
He/She looks cross. Is it some kind of Transformer?

This happened a couple of days ago... After it's quick workup, DD was helping a juvenile Tiger swim off to make sure she was good to go. A highlight of her week.

Scary stuff.

A number of years ago, a close friend of mine was visiting Paris and he went into this bar. Not wanting to appear as an ugly American he ordered a beer. IN GERMAN. Needless to say, he didn't get to finish his beer before he left.

And it's Wednesday. Enjoy the Magic of this day.

(

It's almost like getting a car fixed, 1st you need struts (knees) then it's the stabilizer bar (back) then they want to do ball joints (hips) Get a front end aliment (rehab) and you'll be golden for 50,000 miles (50 Yrs):thumbsup2

I'll take the gamma radiation option with super soldier formula.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Got a busy weekend as we are celebrating Inlaws 65th Anniversary and DS 21st birthday a week early at home so the Inlaws can celebrate it as we will be at DaWorld the week of, the weekend before and the weekend after his actual birthday.
?

Can't do 21st early since the license ain't legal yet for drinking.

Ahhh, the life of CJ... Errr... I mean Norm.
Yeah, that's it...
The life of Norm

.

Well, that's thanks to DVC and buying low and a low point resort. It just happens to be in walking distance to two resorts.

Morning all,

Time for more World Cup action; let's see how many hand balls don't get called today.
?

Germany is out. Justice.

.
I might have some coaching to try and make my swing less dynamic, I think I need to play more flat footed.
.

There's always Pickleball. We'll use the service squares and higher net. I picked up 4 paddles for the family. I can't get them out of the house to try them though.

We'll take all the support we can get. I'll send you a scarf and a little flag for your car.
Oooh...if I root for England, do I get one too? I promise I won't jump on top of someone like they did @pkondz for a T-shirt.

He/She looks cross. Is it some kind of Transformer?
I got an expressions of Vader T-shirt (look that up on Amazon or search the web). You're right, he does look cross in that one. :rotfl2:

I have to tell you CJ last night we went to see Jurassic World and one of the upcoming movie trailers was of a movie called The MEG, needless to say I thought of the Fearless PP :scared1:. Even with this pic I would not go near it wondering where momma was:confused3. I gotta give her ALOT of respect :thumbsup2

Morning boys from another 25c London. Not much on today apart from the football. Everyone is getting a little bit ahead of themselves over here, talking about which side of the draw is better.
a> seeing as we haven't won a knockout game since 2006
b> to progress in any tournament by definition you are going to have to play some good teams;

I'm fairly relaxed about tonight's game, apart from injuries.

Oooh...if I root for England, do I get one too?
Oh, go on then, as it's you.
DD was helping a juvenile Tiger swim off to make sure she was good to go. A highlight of her week.
That. Is. Awesome.
There's always Pickleball.
Or maybe a rule that drop shots are banned?

Yeah, I hear that. My mate got the cold shoulder and glares all week when he did a tour of the South of France, because he was driving round in a Volkswagen. He said it was particularly virulent in the small villages.

Have a great day fellas,
