DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
'Morning All...
Bless all the saints.
(of which, one I ain't)

We matched our world record All Hallows Eve - Trick or Treat Door Knock count with a glorious repeat of a total of ZERO visitors.

And to think, I even went out of my way with my costume of an NSA Field Surveillance Operative (who may or may not also be a double agent with an advanced scouting party for extraterrestrial raiders).

To celebrate this achievement, I took the Missus out for dinner.
Good decision.

Does talking with the manager actually help if the service is horrible?
Not really, as I rarely return to a place that has bad service, however good the food is. But at least the next table should be served better.
Well, the standard has been (in the US) 15%, so 18% is already bumping it past the "normal"
Agreed, but what I've noticed in the last couple of trips is that the 18% is at the bottom of the "helpful" calculator of tips. I've noticed a few being 18,20,22, rather than what I used to see of 15, 18, 20. So they are subconsciously now saying 18% is the lower, not the median tip.

Yeah, it seems as if they're additionally trying to decide for us that 15% isn't enough, so we're graciously moving it to 18% for you. You're welcome!

You old smoothie, you. Were you still wearing the costume?
Well of course!
It's such a successful representation of the type that I even wore it in to work this morning.
Not one sole has yet to even notice.

Think I'll keep wearing versions of it until some one actually figures it out.

Morning gents.

I, um... forgot it was Wednesday.

We matched our world record All Hallows Eve - Trick or Treat Door Knock count with a glorious repeat of a total of ZERO visitors.

Well, that bites.
I read on a TR that they were expecting 300! :faint:

Ever see the MASH episode where Hawkeye walks through the entire camp, nude?

Happy Wednesday. Had less trick or treaters as it was cold, but we still enjoyed a shortened party with the friends we met up with in Florida. We usually hang out each year, and all the kids go trick or treating as we live in the city and they are out in the country.

Morning. It's the middle of the week day, happy humping.

Can't. Married. :sad2:

Look at it this way. You get some extra candy. I haven't worn a costume in years. DW offered to get me a French Maid costume. I think that would be the most terrifying one out there. :lmao:

Well another first around here for us DD's birthday today and we will not be with her to celebrate. DW has been on the phone with her 3 different times today though :-) Have a good one fellas and at least we made it through the midway point.

It get's easier. The first one is tough. Send my best to DD and prayers for you and DW.

Right. I want the kids in bed by 9, the dog fed, the yard watered, the gate locked, and get a note to the milkman, NO MORE CHEESE!

Morning from a frosty but gloriously sunny London.
Happy birthday to the DD Mikey, hopefully you and the good lady wife will catch up with her soon.

Happy belated birthday to your DD.

Cool and wet here today. I think short weather is getting closer to coming to an end.

Happy Thursday. The weekend is almost here. I think we are going to see the Thor Ragnorok movie this weekend. You all keep warm or cold, whichever your pleasure.

That's a lot of expectations there. Try not to set that bar too high. :lmao:

'Morning all...
And a proper blessing for all the soles that have ever walked among us.

My eyes are burning a bit from just thinking about that...
I think we can forgo the pictures rule in this instance.

A blissful HBD to the young'en.
And an understanding pat on the back for y'all.
So many milestones you've seen, still more yet to come.

Our boy is usually still around the house when his B/D rolls around on the calendar,
but he doesn't see it as much of a big deal, so dinner out is usually about as far as it goes for us.

Aye Aye Captain!

Except...
The kid has done moved out, our critter's bowl is never empty, If I water the yard, I'll have to break the mower back out of hibernation, the gate lock has been busted for 15 years, and we don't have milkmen around here anymore.

Oh, and cheese is right tasty on a great many things.

Morning from a frosty but gloriously sunny London.
Frosty, you say...
It's back to summer for us with around 80f/26c being the prediction de jour.
I think I've only worn a jacket once so far this season (and only for about 15min).
