I hope everyone had a good Easter.
Looks like our election year slow down is beginning. Typically what we have seen every 4 years. No one wants to spend $$ until they know who is screwing us and how hard first. After 2.5 years of being overly busy, it's a nice break. Hopefully it doesn't last too long. The good thing is I may have more time to hang out here.
Another beautiful day, and while I am stuck inside on campus, the view is still nice. My mind has already left for vacation and I haven't caught up.
Cold and rainy all day yesterday here. Today it's sunny, cold and windy.
DS will be pitching with the varsity baseball team today in a scrimmage. Pretty sure he'll end up on JV with a couple of calls to the "show" during the season. Better spot as he'll be the Ace of the JV team if placed there and be one of the top players. If on Varsity full time would probably sit a lot as he is only a sophomore.
Got a lot of crap done today so it was productive Monday. Temps hit 91, breaking a record set in 1946. Feels like was probably close to the mid 90's, and it is still March folks. Just something to keep in mind if you are heading south anytime soon.
That's a little warm. Still in the 40's here. Once a week or so we get a 50 -70 degree day to get out hopes up that spring is here. Then mother nature steps on our throat again with the winter boots and brings the cold and wet weather. Still OK with it though as the winter was mild enough to make it worth the wait.
I am guessing Orlando in August will be hot, huh?
Only if you consider 100 degrees and 100% humidity hot.
Today is my Monday, yesterday was a holiday for us. The good news is that a hotel that wants our business showed up with breakfast for the office this morning. Good way to start the week.
An extra Monday holiday and breakfast? I'd move north and become Canadian if the commute wasn't so bad.
Of course the way this election year is going you may see a lot of people running for the hills.

Now having said that, let me also say that's it's really nice to be able to actually feel my hands again.
Yes, it's gonn'a take another month to recover from the cure to the problem, but having corrected the problem, I can live with that.
Sitting in front of a computer screen for long periods of time is still challenging so I'll continue to be AWOL for a while yet, but I wanted to at least check in.
Thanks for all the well wishes y'all sent out and I'll try to get back over here some time in the near.
Glad your getting better. Wishes for a speedy recovery. Still have pins and needles in my thumb and index finger from the bicep surgery last July. Probably there forever at this point.
I actually was just told that I am getting a bonus this year, next payday in fact, which is April 7th. Don't know how much, but it is usually 5-10% of my annual salary. So looks like my Disney trip is paid for with the bonus I didn't think I was getting. Nice Tuesday surprise.
That's a great surprise! Hope it's more than expected and includes a membership to the Jelly of the Month Club.
Still waiting for my latest demands to be met. My review was supposed to be about 6 weeks ago. I told them it was a 15% raise in salary or a 20% annual bonus as long as we hit our goals each year. I'm thinking the silence means counter offer or they are just waiting to see if I'm serious or not. Let's hope everyone is just busy.
