DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Happy Sunday. One more week to go until two weeks off. Unfortunately, I'm still stuck here in KY as opposed to Disney World. My consolation can be that I can avoid the high crowd levels. I'll just keep telling myself that. :lmao:

Booked some ADRs for the April trip.
Mon - Boathouse at Disney Springs
Tues - Rose N Crown at Epcot
Fri - Kona Café for dinner, followed by Wishes at TOTWL

We'll probably go with ESPN Club on Wednesday for dinner. I really liked the Boathouse menu and am looking forward to trying it.

Nice choices, wish I was going in April. Any room for another?

Hope all had a good weekend. Hosted our annual Christmas party for friends last night so we did absolutely nothing today :rotfl:
Hope the tournament went well

Good spots we have similar tastes it appears. Let us know how Boathouse is as we are trying it for first time in June

And you didn't invite me? I would have drank all your booze and had a lot of fun. :lmao:

As for ADRs, we have our favorites and then like to try some new ones. Not sure how we have missed Rose n Crown all these years. Fulton's Crab House was a long favorite, but they took the lobster Mac n cheese off the menu, and we haven't been back since. As for Boathouse, I think I could order almost the whole menu. I really enjoy seafood.

If only someone had had room for me on that cruise. :scared1: :lmao:

Get to Miami, scale the back of the ship and you can sleep in our balcony.

Morning all...
Way too much that needs to get done and not near enough time to get it done.
Hate to say it, but I'm looking forward to the doldrums of January about now.

Nice set there. Very nice indeed.
If all goes as planed (which ain't guaranteed at this point) we'll be in Fla for a bit during April as well.
If that happens, I'd like to add a day or two at The world. We'd have to stay off-site to make it even possible so ADR's and such might be rather hard to come by, but my first choices would be pretty much your entire list there.

2 and 2, good for 3rd place. They lost their first game, DS was player of the game and won their second to to finish second in their pool. They were much better than the team in the second game but it was tough to watch. They built a big lead and then decided to play playground ball.

Semi final was against the best team in the province and it showed in the first half, the team hit a ton of 3 pointers and all from the NBA line of not further out. They controlled the 3rd place game from the start so they finished on a positive note.
Sounds like an interesting tournament fro your squad. Some up, some down, but all of it some good learning opportunities. May they play strong the rest of the season.

Well the Mamas and the Papas did but I think they used a lot of pharmaceuticals.
I do believe that's pretty much a given.

May not be a bad week as I have Friday off and tomorrow morning a root canal which these dates is likely an upgrade to dealing with work related items. Not sure about any of you guys, but looking forward to Thursday night (Friday & Saturday too) to see the new SW movie with DS.

Decent result makes the trip / weekend time worth it. I used to get a bit aggravated when DD's soccer would travel to Carolina or Arkansas and lay a complete dud for the weekend considering the financial and time commitments. Had no problem if they got beat be better teams but when the effort and energy just did not cut it mad for long drives back home.

Thanks, it was a good weekend for them and happy DS played well as he is missing 2 games this weekend because of volleyball.

I am always happy to watch them play, even if they get beat as long as the effort is there.

The way I look at it (and their coaches I hope) is that the games at this point of the season are about learning and developing some confidence. The games that matter happen in February.

In case anybody had any doubts, the Bills still suck. Any Pop Warner coaches available that can teach discipline and fundamentals? :sad2:

One of our local GaryY (the Carolinian version of Pop-W) all star teams won a state championship this weekend, and two of the county's high schools pulled off the same in their classes (resoundingly, might I add). Don't know if you'll be able to convince any of their staff to move up there by Lake FreezeYourNinniesOff, but y'all are welcome to ask.

That sounds like a lot of work. You know my aversion to work.

.

Well, if you get down the first week of April, I'd like to get a meet and picture with you. If it happens to time up that Friday, I'll get you up TOTWL (as long as guests are permitted) and I won't even make you scale up the side of the building.

Wait. I think the Bills were just flagged with another penalty.

Almost four hour layover in Toronto airport. Still... Better than the alternative that we almost had. Cancelled flight.

At least it's not the Montreal Airport.

You never flew to Miami? Worst airport in the entire world.

Too bad for the two losses but congrats to him.

Norm, I have a rowboat you can use. Maybe He can drop down a rope ladder.

Too bad about the root canal, the other stuff makes up for it.

Good morning Gentlemen, Got to bed too early last night so my usual 6 hours of sleep had me up way too early. I've gotten a lot done already though and it is much more peaceful in the office without the people.

Buffalo really doesn't get that cold, just a lot of snow until Lake Erie freezes. Living in Iowa was a lot colder.

Hmmm... You're being very subtle here. How do you really feel?

Content actually. I am on the green side of the sod still and the Bills have settled into mediocrity so no more stress about possibly making the playoffs to choke once again.

Wait. I think the Bills were just flagged with another penalty.

and rightly so.

You never flew to Miami? Worst airport in the entire world...

I haven't been in a lot, but it would have to be pretty bad to be worse than Philadelphia.

Was up at 5:00 finishing a proposal to get ready for a read though at 9:00. It was already reviewed once so should be just minor stuff. After they sign off, I am more or less done until after the 1st with the exception of some minor little things and the call me if you have an emergency. I am probably going to get a tree this afternoon. Hard to get up for putting a tree up when the kid isn't here. We will decorate it when she arrives on the 23rd. Not doing much to the house this year.

In case anybody had any doubts, the Bills still suck. Any Pop Warner coaches available that can teach discipline and fundamentals? :sad2:

At least they are not the Dolphins. Franchise record of 7 straight years not going to the playoffs, 8 head coaches and 12 starting GBs. Take solace jn that.

Good morning. I feel your pain brother.

Had a weird night myself. Got home around 11:00 but couldn't fall asleep until after 1:00am.
Woke up from an odd dream at 4:45. Alarm was set for 5, so no sense going back to sleep.

 Okay. Gotcha.

Morning Guys,

Storm day her for DS and DW. Probably a good thing as DS seemed to get the stomach bug that many of his team-mates have been getting.

Freezing rain for my drive in this morning, suppose to be snow for my drive home.

Have a good one!
