DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Careful over there, I hear there is an American running around the streets of Soho.
I haven't seen that film in years. I might watch it to see what bits of soho I can pick out. My Dad had a shop there, so I pretty much spent all my school holiday time up there working...

Done that before as well - nothing wrong with that. Have also sent a couple of us off to get whatever they want and all meet back in one place for our own smorgasbord (turkey leg, hotdogs, churros, buffet)

I usually volunteer to walk to the different places though, as I need to get my own churro and dole whip as well. :lmao:

Post padder!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

No more stats now.

Well done! May have to start referencing the Life of Dan

Haven't seen that posted in a while :rotfl:

Except that it's not warm in London. I don't know if there are topless beaches though. Maybe Dan can post some of those pictures. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Hate it when that happens...

:lmao: That's exactly what I was thinking!

Booked another cheeky one this morning for DW's birthday (at her request).
As of tomorrow, doin' the 30 day dance.

Nice!

Cold weather and topless beaches, and you think I'm not living the dream? On the pictures front, this sounds like the thread that shall not be named....
Had a good time vegging in front of the TV while munching on snacks.
We need more info than that on the snacks CJ. Pretzels? Cheese Balls? A party size bag of Lays?
I did that last week. It's a necessary evil of our Canadian winters.
Do you guys get an autumn? It seems like a few pages ago you were in your shorts and BBQ'ing, and now you are battening down the hatches...

Was it a place called Lee Ho Fook's?

Who said anything about putting away the shorts and BBQ?

Took the day off work to go to the dentist, playing tennis shortly, and then party tonight with the family. Happy Halloween all.
Day off work = good. Dentist = bad. Happy Halloween to you and all the Dads!

It would make a great comeback story. I'm rooting for them. (Cleveland did knock out the Jays after all)

Awesome! Must be nice to have a taste of Disney so close.

Yes, summer came back for literally one day. A few weeks ago it was autumn, then summer for a day. Now it's autumn/winter-ish. Rain showers and 8C temp for Halloween night. October is overall a lovely month with the changing leaves and still decent temps, but November is misery. Too cold and wet to get out and the pretty leaves are gone by then, but still not cold enough (consistently below freezing) to get snow accumulating so we can start winter stuff like skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing.

Who said anything about putting away the shorts and BBQ?
Oh yes, many guys still BBQ in the snow. Mind you, I'm not one of them.

30 minutes left in Halloween here.
115 kids served.
Usually it's a bit more
(but not much more)
but I suspect the rain
is putting a bit of a damper on things.

It is good. We can leave at about 6AM, and be in the parks for around midday. Opens up weekend breaks which don't eat a lot into my leave total.....or my bank balance.

Historically, the Cubs now have a 21.1% chance of winning the series, as a team going on the road 3-2 down. Apparently.

Says the guy with 3 vacation banners on his sig.....:thumbsup2

Morning gents. Looks like it's finally stopped raining here. Now if it would only dry.

Another morning finds my chauffeur license is working well with a swim practice car pool drop off of three teen girls and orthodontist office visit. :headache:

Yes, better not post pictures after all.

.

Thanks. Hope you all had a good one as well.

We had great weather, but a lower turnout than usual. We have had a lot more churches and businesses do trunk or treat lately, so maybe that was the reason.

Never tell me the odds.

'Morning all...
Welcome to November.
Of course that brings up varied imagery depending on your particular culture and location.

That's a fairly hefty turn out.
We used to see similar numbers back in the old neighborhood. Not so much any more.
We've had a total of five young'ens knock on the door in the past three years.

given that lack of interest...
now we just leave the porch light off and take ourselves out to dinner while the crowds are low.

The odds ain't very good, but It would be nice to see such.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Today is DDs 22nd b-day and we we have a tasting / preview event for wedding tonight so we are starting to get into more of the details of this thing now. It's official, we have become that "older couple" without kids that give special Halloween treat bags and such to the little ones on our street. Our neighborhood has seen many a young one go from kindergarten to college with now a wave of young families moving in so hope I don't become that "get off my lawn" guy

GO CUBS!

Oh yea, those. O.K. we keep it to the life of CJ

Never tell me the odds.

Wasn't Han Solo supposed to be a gambler?
Maybe if he would have understood risk, he wouldn't have taken the risk with the cargo and owed Jabba all that money. And kept out of the freezer thing/tortured by Vader/general bad things/divorced by Leia/skewered by Kylo.

You can tell I'm not a huge Star Wars fan.
