DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
On my mobile platform, i.e., smartphone, I don't see any signatures. Feel free to upgrade my device and send it in the mail with your next dues payment. :lmao:
My bad, didn't think about the mobile phones as I don't see them on mine either. Couldn't resist being a smart a$$ there though and dues are in the mail :rotfl2:

It's all good. A new iPhone 6 would be a great way to make it up to me. :lmao:

The SWMBO's iPad died a couple of days ago. She's had it for 3 years.
She wanted to know if her "notes" were all gone.
"When was the last time you backed it up?" I asked.
"I don't know how." She replied.

Baby, you're notes are gone.

Pick up the new toy today.
I plan on showing her how to back it up first thing.
A similar thing just happened to my DD last week. Her Macbook crashed and then refused to boot up. DW has a cousin who works in IT, so she looked at it and could only restore the operating system, so the hard drive was cleaned. My DD lost a few years worth of pictures and, even worse, several songs that she had recorded (she pays piano and has written a few original songs). I do feel a bit guilty for just assuming she was backing it up. I'll have to change that.

Thanks Cj and everyone. Here is the little man and me.

Congrats Randall !!

Good Saturday Morning!!!
If my body would know it's Saturday and let me sleep past 3am it would have been better. Lol
Busy is the word. Work is nuts, not complaining.
Making room in the garage for the van. Had to take down two shelfs. Got use to having two small cars. Lol
That's ok, threw most of it out, haven't used it in a long time and I would only throw it out when we move anyway.
Have a nice weekend!!!!

Good morning. Another busy weekend here. I'm playing tennis this AM, oldest dd has swim meet today and tomorrow and Confirmation Retreat tomorrow, youngest has basketball practice and futsal game. I don't know why we continue to make such a hectic schedule. Vacation is less than 30 days away.

Sadly, even though our children have their smartphones, they skipped that whole generation of learning how to work a computer. I see it in 20 year olds now who can work a phone, but not figure out how to upload an assignment on a computer.

Hey, seagulls, haven't seen them in a while. I'm in a town just north of my house which has a landfill. They come in off the garbage trucks from New York City. You can tell, they have Yankees tattoos and if you look at them too long they ask you watcha lookin at? Lol

Ditto.

Good Saturday Morning!!!

I'm at work. So.... pppbbbttt!!!!

If my body would know it's Saturday and let me sleep past 3am it would have been better.

I hear ya. Went out for dinner yesterday. Just me and the Mrs. Nice.
Got home around 7 and I fell asleep. Woke up around 11:30. Was up until 2:30... the alarm goes off at 5.
Just shoot me.

That's ok, threw most of it out, haven't used it in a long time and I would only throw it out when we move anyway.

Congratulations on taking that first step away from starring in your own episode of Hoarders.

Starting March Break up here with a quiet weekend at home.

Interesting. Ours is always the last week of March.

Didn't realize that was happening. Interesting.

- I have had a very successful and busy year at work (sales / DSM). My busy season is typically picks up in March and slows down early June. You are busy, but are you productive is what I look at?
- have fun w/ the Honey-Doo list! This past summer I had built a 12' x 16' shed in backyard to clean out the garage to fit all 3 cars in it.

Have a great one!
- I wish I could say it is a quite morning as DD5 and DD3 are awake. But hey, wife made me Gluten Free muffins!
- kids are off all week for spring break because you know spring starts the first week of March :-) I'm hearing everyone complain about he Security lines at MSP airport. Few FB posts and a text msg from a colleague, wife just told me about news article.

Last night, all of us went through the dining list and narrowed down choices for our June trip. Think we have our schedule down. The Thursday of the week, we are going to drive over to Coco Beach for a mid trip break.

Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine.

In looking for future retirement areas, I was thinking about the Cocoa Beach area. DW wants to settle in the Vero Beach area. Either sounds good to me.

DW is not a fan of the winter here - told her I'd get her a place in FL so she can spend the winter there and then come back and visit me in Spring and Fall..summer I will move further North.

I should have recorded it Norm.lol I could have sworn that is what they we squawking. Lol

Managed to sleep till 5am this morning !!!! When your up at 2:45am for work during the week, 5am is sleeping in.lol
Got the garage done. Everything is ready to go.
Looking forward to seeing my oldest brother this week, he will be in town for business. Since he moved to North Carolina 15 years ago, I don't get to see him to often.
Wednesday, the 9th is also Tammy and I, 31st wedding anniversary. We just exchange cards ( for some reason) we celebrate everything on our trips to the world. Don't worry, she's well taken care of. our dining reservations for our 15 day trip is going to be around the $3000 mark alone. I'm going to gain 15 pounds on this trip even walking 6 miles per day. Lol
We really haven't done the souvenir thing in a long time, just no place to put anything more.lol
I may get a shirt, Tammy seems to hang out at the Pandora counter. The one lady in mk knows Tammy by name.lol There trying to kill me.lol
She don't ask for much and trust me, she deserves it.
We were just talking yesterday how our vacations have changed over the years. It never gets boring. Lol

Remember your first car accident? Of course you do.
DD18s BF was over yesterday. Fed him supper then he headed home... about 45 minutes out of town. DW always tells him to text us when he gets there so we know he got home safely. Instead we get a text that he's in the ditch. Drive out there and holy crap! It's a skating rink out there! No wonder he spun off the road. Good news is, he's fine, but pretty shaken up. Granted it's a bit unnerving to be going down a highway at 60mph... backwards. Also good news, car slid off in the shallow snow and doesn't look like there's any damage other than two flats.

Guess who stayed the night?

Locked him in the basement I'm guessing. ;)

Glad he's ok.

Good morning all. Day 2 of swim meet followed by Confirmation retreat for oldest. I'm struggling to keep up with all these events.

DW is not a fan of the winter here - told her I'd get her a place in FL so she can spend the winter there and then come back and visit me in Spring and Fall..summer I will move further North.

We plan to keep our home or a home/ condo in KY. If both dds settle elsewhere, we may look for a home/ condo there as well.

I should have recorded it Norm.lol I could have sworn that is what they we squawking. Lol

::yes:: Surprising once I saw the movie, that is what I heard them squawking as well. :lmao:

That will be a long vacation, but you all will enjoy it. DW's birthday falls on Columbus Day weekend, so we are always in vacation during that. I tell her she gets a Disney vacation for her birthday and I don't. :lmao:

...... That's the answer. :rotfl:

Did a few things around the house this weekend tied to spring cleaning. Great weather and just outside with DW, a small fire, big cigar and a port. For those of you running around all weekend with the kids, enjoy. Despite enjoying today, I do miss the weekends of running and a day like today is like a reward from all the years of non-stop kid sports. Enjoy fellas

Yes, DW doesn't seem to have an issue with it. I just figure since I never had it that easy, then I should make them work for it as well. :furious:

Locked him in the basement I'm guessing. ;)

 Actually, he slept in her room, in her bed.

She, however, slept on the living room couch.

Glad no one was hurt. About that staying over thing .........

:rolleyes1

Well, they're both 18, so I suppose if they're gonna do it, there's not much I can really say about it.
Now.... where's that shotgun???
