DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Morning gents. Halfway through my rotation and fading fast....

Top O the Morning Dads! Short vent, job stuff is just a dang nightmare these days - there is only so much "more" that can be given with "less". Need the holidays to get here for sure. Thanks for allowing the vent and we are almost half way there this week.
:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:
If Randall calls me an

Not sure, but looking forward to your second run. Started to reply to all of them but decided to wait for your second run as discussing those kind of questions / topics on Disney is what we are here for

Coffee o_O

Another miserable rainy morning. I'm hoping the rain stops for the drive home. Indoor tennis tonite with a week's rest for my foot.

Only if you are going to DHS. That is not a full day park.
nt.

For me it is. But, I'll ride Star Tours four or five times.

you will all e happy to know I had my fun no more post runs just for fun I will get serious or get out

Surely you're not serious.
Stop calling me Shirley.
Sounds better when not typed.
:lmao:

There isn't.

See.......

O

Yea, it has been two weeks since my last vacation. I need another vacation. Hope work gets better for you soon.

I don't do coffee.... but Coke does wonders.

That's not a vent. That's a slight grumble of discontent.
Can you expand and expound further?
I mean if you're gonna vent... then go all the way!

...I'll ride Star Tours four or five times...

and I won't ride it once. That is why it is good there is so much to do. Different strokes for different folks. On another note, discuss the advantages of Moonlight vs. Old Hickory BBQ....

To each their own, but I really like Star Tours, especially after the refurb. My favorite was the one where Vader leads the storm troopers against your ship, using the force to drag the ship as well as block the lasers. Plus, you get the Vader music.

As for BBQ, Moonlite has fed two US Presidents (Clinton, W Bush) and has such a quantity that if you go home hungry, then you're an idiot. The lunch buffet is smaller, but the dinner buffet features baked apples, baked beans, green beans, corn, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey & dressing, chopped pork, chopped mutton, sliced pork, ribs, BBQ chicken, cornbread, rolls, and a few other veggies and meats. Then there is the salad bar, Burgoo, and the dessert bar that features banana pudding, two cobblers, fudge covered pecan pie, peanut butter pie, ice cream, and a few others. Oh yeah, Friday is catfish fiddlers and filets.

Old Hickory has better tasting BBQ and is a bit cheaper. We maybe go to Moonlite once a year and it is amazing. We usually get take out from Old Hickory.

Morning! Wide awake this a.m. No idea why, but I'll take it.
Only 25 more hours to go until I can sleep again!

Morning guys.

Very wet, rainy day up here in the north and for the record, I like Star Tours.

'Morning all...
May this be a good day for all of us.

Now you got me hankering for some good Q...
both of those houses sound good, but I can't get to either one form here.
Will just have to settle for the local stuff (not like that's much of a negative from my point of view).

Happy Thursday. The work day is half way done. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. The foot doesn't hurt as bad as it did last week, although I am glad outdoor season ended when it did as it needed the rest.

Good luck. Enjoy the coke - whatever kind. :lmao:

Yea you can. Al Gore invented the Internet and you can have it shipped right to your home address. Maybe they'll include a picture if the buffet. :lmao:

There are just some things that ought not be ordered online.

Tell you what though, if I discover that there's no excellent Q to be had anywhere within the confines of the Carolinas...
Then I consider it.

Oh, and while pictures may be worth thousands of words, they're not very tasty.

Maybe you should try pickleball, less running.

Don't worry, this video shows some younger guys playing but typically the players are older. ;)

Afternoon Dads - trust all are happy that we are that much closer to tomorrow. All cannot be that bad, World Series, NHL, NFL and College football all hitting stride makes for a good week or two around my house.

My vents include language that would get us in trouble with the moderators. I also assume that several of you are dealing with the same type of crap. But, what we have here is almost comical, toss in a lack of accountability for those that ain't cutting it, mix in p poor leadership, stir in take the screwed up business activity and dump on the well run activity, mixed in with those at the top that drove the screwed up telling those who run the well run activity how to do things and ya got my current mess. Oh, and for those of us running things over budget and last year in terms of both sales and profits, cut back on resources and expenses to help cover for those that can't find their backside with directions and a GPS.

Good to hear the foot is getting better

That's better. I knew you could do it.
Liked the p poor. Almost looks like a typo.

If we ever place a bet on a championship game (UK vs ???) and you win, I'll send you some BBQ from Moonlite. It is not as good as the fresh bbq in person, but I ain't flying you in. :rotfl:

I've played pickle-ball and racquetball. I like tennis better.

Hummm, UK vs Western Carolina... for a championship? I'd make the bet but...
Nope, I don't see that one happening anytime in the near. :lmao:

It is somewhat possible that they could see each other during the football season at some point, though.
In the time that my boy has been attending, we've been paid very good money to travel and be slaughtered by the likes of: Virgina Tech, Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee. In a couple week Texas A&M will be paying us for the privilege as well, so it's not impossible to think that Kentucky might want to buy a victory at some point in the future.

Well you could just take "a bit of a detour" through the Carolinas and drop some off the next time y'all are headed for Orlando. I'll meet you at the Welcome Center and trade you a few pound from "The 521" for some of the Moonlite. We could grab one of the picnic tables there and compare 'em head to head (or shoulder to rib as the case may be).
