Did a bit of yardwork myself. Now I'm watching cruise ships leave the Port of Miami while watching the Grand Prix of Indy. About to find something to eat accompanied by a nice glass of Picaroons Dooryard Ale.

Evening guys. Did a bit of yard work myself today unfortunately along with some day job work today as well. Take care of those moms this weekend and enjoy the day.

Tonite was kind of interesting, I decieded that it was about time to start the Mustangs (one can be heard over a block away without any special add ons:thumbsup2:rotfl:) anyway the kid next door 16yrs old immediately popped over the fence to see what all the noise was about, and he was in awe:banana: he said these were cars you hear about but very seldom see:confused3, he then said you are a engine guy but he likes auto body, when I told him I did all the body work and have 4 degrees in the field although from the 80's with 2 engine degrees , he then said you are the real deal, he takes auto body class in vo-tech and they basically only teach how to replace parts and a lot of parts are now glued on, they don't really teach how to weld anymore or even how to use body filler:eek:, I told him I don't know any of those new ways to fix anything, so maybe we can learn from each other to find the best way to repair something on a car, when he left he said if your going to fix anything to let him know he would like to see the old school way of doing it:thumbsup2, To me this shows there is still hope for todays youth:confused3

Come on... tell the truth. You were feeling pretty good right about then weren't ya?
I had a different but similar thing happen the other night.
I was coming home from work on my bike. A young kid pull up beside me at the light.
I glance over and he's wildly waving thumb's up at me.
So just for fun, I smoked him off the lights.

What??? Really?

Hope you all have a great Mother's Day. Don't forget Father's Day is just around the corner.

Mother's Day: the day where the fathers take care of the kids so mom can be pampered and relax. Father's Day: the day where the fathers take care of the kids so they can spend some quality time with them.

Nothing more fun than cleaning the windows on a Sunday. Half the house is done, I finish tomorrow. #ineedtogetthehe!!outofhere

How true. Happy mothers' day to all the moms out there that put up with us.

Although that didn't quite work out at our house today.
DW asked if her mom could come for supper. Plus, she wants chicken souvlaki, lemon rice, lemon potatoes and greek salad.

No problem... but I have to take a bit of time for my Mom too.
So I headed out around 10:30 or so. Brought flowers and a card, visited til about 1pm.

Got back... and DW had first taken care of one kid who wanted her hair done, then the dog who wanted a scratch, then the other kid who wanted attention, then a guinea pig while the cage got cleaned, then the other one while the other cage got cleaned....

so really, it was more of a day off for me.... :rolleyes1

We had a good Mother's Day. I took DW and the family to see the new Avengers movie. Then, after Mass tonight, we went to eat and enjoyed some good draft beers. Yup, folks. My wife enjoys the Avengers and draft beer. I definitely got it good.

'Morning all

Hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and had a fine Mother's day as well.

We helped our young'en get everything moved back home for the summer break. That's two years down, two more to go. The boy remembered to get his momma a card and a bit of a treat, which actually surprised her and brightened her day. Took MIL, SIL and DW out for Mother's Day dinner then hung a new light fixture in MIL's dinning room. Got repaid for the efforts in Key Lime Pie, so I'd say everyone made out pretty well.

A lot of work will be interfering with life this week, unfortunatly.
I'll check in when I can but y'all take care ya' hear?
