Although we don't celebrate boxing day in the states, for those that do, happy boxing day.

Had to look up bubble and squeak. You can have my share...not a cabbage fan.

Thanks Doc. Everyone does bubble different, mine is heavy on the butter and potatoes and cabbage and Brussels to bulk up a bit and then I add pancetta. And more butter.
You can squeak my bubble and bubble my squeak.
You can bubble my squeak anytime, sunshine

No bubble and squeak but we did just have a very nice breakfast hash.

Happy Boxing Day!

Good morning Everyone, beautiful sunshine with a cool temp of -12c, great way to start Boxing Day. We had a Christmas Dinner at BIL place, then visited family and friends. Then our family came to our place in the evening for lasagna and cheesecake. Hope everyone are enjoying the holidays.

Drowning in a Tsunami of plastic.

I'm heading to the recycle center then the landfill to get rid of all the packing material from the gifts.

Had to look up bubble and squeak. You can have my share...not a cabbage fan.
I'm with you on that one Doc.

View attachment 371515 Well this was me at 0650 this morning. I can’t feel my toes. George got the goal and the West Ham goalie kit from Santa. Look what he’s done to my grass already.....
0650??
Nope! I'm very thankful that my girls are old enough now to be the last ones up. :)

After spending all day yesterday cooking and scraping ice off the driveway and cooking and scraping more ice and cooking... and then eating until I was too full to breathe...

I'm gonna avoid the malls like the plague today. Boxing Day is not for the weak and I'm just too tired... or don't particularly need anything or.... that's what online shopping is for. ;)

Seems like having 2 days in a row off has put me into a bit of a Disney planning calamity:scared1:

Feb 1-3 set in stone no change

March 29-31 & May 10 - 11 are in question, now here's my details, March flights for some reason (probably Spring break) are almost $800 each way for the 3 of us:faint:, but I already have a ressie for Shula's and The Rhino tour at AK ( should be able to change without a problem ). As for May I can get free roundtrip airfare with miles.

Now the alternative is Easter April 22-26 take the Autotrain down and drive back with staying over in NC, with this I would have my car, save on snacks & booze:thumbsup2 I know it's more crowded then but that means nothing to me:rotfl2:. With this I might be able to swing a end of May or beginning of June weekend trip:confused3

I gave myself a deadline to decide by Jan 11.

$800 each way!! Wow, that's Canadian-like pricing.

Rum Ramblings Thursday 27, 8:30 WDW, 5:30 DL. Special guest from GKTW!

Dropping this here so everyone know...

I gave myself a deadline to decide by Jan 11.

You need to get you one of those countdown thingies for the bottom of your page.

Usually I average around 200 each way total for 3:thumbsup2

Usually, you don't fly... It's getting to the point where I don't know you anymore! Next thing you know, you'll be on Facebook... :sad2:

Anyone have a Keurig? MIL got us one for Christmas. I tried a couple of flavors, but they are terrible. I went and bought a refillable basket for my own coffee, but it is terrible next to my press pot. Any thoughts?

Although I have no idea what that means, sounds like a great idea. I'll bring thr rhinestone thong. :scared1:

I find the crowds are a lot smaller online.

They fit on my screen, at least.

I survived a trip to the grocery yesterday. That's as far as I'm venturing out.

Rhino tour? Is thay something different than Wild Africa Trek?

Top O the Mornin Dads. DD and SIL got into a town yesterday and plans went to hell immediately so a bit of drama - family what ya gonna do. Will have a 2nd “Christmas” day here today so our 4th event hosting the holidays in the past 6 days, starting to get a bit worn out from all this.

Hope those that celebrate had a good Boxing Day yesterday and hope those that are working aren’t working too hard. Enjoy the day guys.

It’s horrible coffee and even worse
for the environment. IMHO There are 2 ways to get good coffee, by brewing slowly (press pot and drip/vacuum) or forcing at high pressure (good espresso machines). Nespressos and Keurigs do neither.
Go back to your press pot.

Morning folks.
Bit more snow so a bit more shoveling. Glad it’s not too much.

Tell me about it.

Wait... why am I laughing?

You’re a brave man Gunga Din.

Holy crap!
I’m burned out after one!

:worship:

Well your first problem would be that you are drinking flavoured coffee.

True. I had a coupon and it was on sale.

Thanks. I worked it correctly, but it just sucks. A great gift from MIL.

I thought so.

Hard to beat the taste of the press. But the Keurig is quick and easy. I like dark roast coffee, the darker the better.

DW doesn't like trying to do the press pot if she has to leave early in the AM, and just wants one cup. I have the press pot figured out exactly the way I like it. Will have to figure out something for DW.
