Rhino tour? Is thay something different than Wild Africa Trek?

Yes it is different, it fairly new started in Nov. It is Up Close with Rhinos a 1 hour tour including the rhino building ( and it is said you may get to touch one:confused3)it is much cheaper then the Wild Africa Trek at $40, we had ressies for our Dec trip but got rained out, I rescheduled for my B-day, but may have try to change it again:scratchin.

Morning gents, I’ve been enjoying the festivities and the break from work the past few days. Of course eating too much and drinking too much but I suppose that’s what most of us have been doing.

I did get out with DD11 to see Mary Poppins Returns and Ralph Breaks the Internet (yeah, that one was on the list for a while). Both were enjoyable although the songs in Mary Poppins were a bit forgettable and the Princesses stole the movie from Ralph. I wonder how I’d feel about Ralph had the Princesses not been in it.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Looking forward to the football playoff games tomorrow - GO IRISH!

Hosting 4 holiday celebrations ain’t enough so let’s add NYE so that DD has a meeting place to see her friends. We were always the hang out house while the kids were growing up and looks like we still are now that they’ve grown. No complaints as me and DW enjoy just getting a bit worn out from it all as we have a few more years on us these days. Hope everyone is enjoying some down time.

Anyone have a Keurig? MIL got us one for Christmas. I tried a couple of flavors, but they are terrible. I went and bought a refillable basket for my own coffee, but it is terrible next to my press pot. Any thoughts?
If you are used to French press coffee then no flavor of Keurig is going to taste right. It is barely a step up from percolator coffee. That said I drink the Colombian roast in the machine at work, its free so I don't complain.

Will have a 2nd “Christmas” day here today so our 4th event hosting the holidays in the past 6 days, starting to get a bit worn out from all this.
We are leaving for my Dads tonight for our final Christmas. didn't end up hosting any this year thank goodness

Facebook, Nope never will happen:eek::headache:

Time has skipped, flied, ran, and hyperdrived by these two weeks off from work. I'll be out until Wednesday or Thursday unless I can't fit my butt through the door. Does anyone know if you can file an social security disability obesity claim over the phone? Asking for a freind.

Hope you mean you drink cokes. I drink tea and water almost exclusively. Occasionally(rarely) a root beer, Dr pepper or sprite. Even more rarely, I'll drink a couple sips of DW's Pepsi.

I like my coffee like I like my women ..... filled with booze. :lmao:

I do enjoy coffee in the morning. I drink the dunkin donuts brand (non-flavored) and the press pot makes it even more outstanding. Nothing in it, as I don't want to ruin either the coffee or the bourbon.

Thanks. Good to know. I want to do the Wild Africa Trek despite the cost at least once.

Enjoy the celebrations. I have a bottle of champagne, but have no idea what the plans are for NYE.. Although, if they aren't at TOTWL, then I'll be disappointed.

Christmas eve for me tonight. In-laws came in on the 21st and left on the 24th. Brought the usual drama so none of us were too sad to see them go. Then SWMBO and I had to head up to OH to visit the DDS on the 26th and got back last night. A four hour drive, but we still haven't found a decent dentist within a 90 minute drive so we make the trip and it gives a chance to get away. MD appointment for me and basketball practice for DD today so tomorrow will finally be Christmas. Kids didn't mind. They figured they would get more stuff since we hit the after Christmas sales in OH and on our way back. I didn't mind either. I'm not in much of a Christmas mood this year. Hoping 2019 is finally the year that things turn around. It has been a long stretch since I looked back on a year with fondness.

Best wishes for 2019 and may you all find yourselves at your favorite spot in the World sooner than you hope

Evening All,

Messing day here today and we got to travel in it. Headed up river about 60 miles for a 3 day basketball tournament. Great first day, the boys won both games to top their pool and now don't play until 8 pm tomorrow night. Hopefully the drive back tomorrow will be better than the drive home tonight, lots of packed snow and freezing rain.

Hope everyone enjoyed Friday.

You said it! I can hardly believe it’s almost time to go back to work.
These days between Christmas and New Year time loses meaning. I have no idea what day of the week it is. My diet consists mainly of Christmas chocolates and rum.

Enjoy the celebrations. I have a bottle of champagne, but have no idea what the plans are for NYE..
I have no plans either, I don’t even have any champagne. But DW and I generally don’t care much about NYE. We’ll just try to stay awake until midnight.

I would like to try watching the live stream of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, but with the time difference it’s well past our midnight so I don’t know if I’ll be alert at that point.

Best wishes for 2019 and may you all find yourselves at your favorite spot in the World sooner than you hope
I hope we all get to our happy place sooner.
And I hope next year is brighter for you

Congrats on the successful tournament so far.
I noticed that you had some nasty weather. We were supposed to get some snow here today but so far nothing, hopefully it stays that way.
It’s forecast for 5-15cm so I’m hoping for the 5

Morning all. Tennis today and Premier League around noon. Then, glue my butt back on the couch.

They are! Go stand by your mailbox and Paul will swing by to pick you up.

Been standing there all night and no one ever showed up. I can't believe I fell for that again. :furious:

A lot of traveling and dr appointments. Glad you made it back safely. I hope 2019 is a better year as well.

Last few years, we have got together with friends and party is over at 11. We watch the ET shows and celebrate then. Reality is going to bite hard next week.

Glad we didn't have to travel back this morning, the roads look a mess right now. We had the same forecast but I don't know if we even had the 5 cm, seems like it is mostly ice pellets out there right now.

We are the same on NYE. Every couple of years we might invite friends over but it is usually just us with DW headed to bed just past the stroke of midnight and me sitting there waiting for the live stream to start, good times!

Good morning everyone, had a messy storm come through yesterday. About 15cm of snow which turned to rain, then freezing rain. We have ice everywhere. Just put 30kg of salt on my driveway to melt the ice.
Have to stock up on fireworks today for our neighbourhood NYE show. We have it at 8pm
on NYE, so all the kids can enjoy.
We are down to 30 days and 18hrs till we leave for WDW. Can't wait to leave winter weather behind for some warmer temps.

Good day to stay in where it isn't slippery.:crutches:
