Most treks have about a dozen people in them. Somehow, ours only had three. So the guide to guest ratio was pretty awesome. As you may expect, they paid extra attention to my daughter since she was the only kid.

Some kind of pork/ rice thing at the Puerto Rico place. By far our least favorite item of the festival. It was like something I would be served at home. Not that that is always a bad thing, but just not magical..

I've got one of each. The original DD is like I was. Super shy and doesn't want anyone to pay attention to her. The sequel (other DD) is like DW. Talks to anyone and everyone. They're both awesome, but the little one is way more entertaining. One will be president of the Math Club, the other will be president of her sorority. :sad2:

Yes, they are terrific. And, DW and I can both be vocal as well. It can definitely be entertaining. It can also be quite noisy.

..

Having that individualized attention is a great value at $200 a person. More unexpected Disney Magic. pixiedust:

With all the activity today, I see the americans here are really busy just before Thanksgiving... ;)

Awesome pics Chris... :thumbsup2

A great day at the office. My first full work week in several months.
I would like to see a pivvot chart of the amount of time you spend at work versus when you are off. :lmao:

On Tuesday we said something about it being Mickey's birthday. DD looks at us sideways and says, "I thought it was this sunday." No, sweetie, Mickey's birthday is today, we tell her. She runs to her room, throws herself on her bed, and starts crying. We ask her why she is upset, and she manages to tell us through her sobs that she thought she had more time to make him a birthday card. We tell her she can still make one after school... She sobs louder. "But it won't get there in time!!"

Isn't it sweet that our 7 year old daughter gets so upset over her relationship with a fictional mouse?

Or is it completely crazy?
Wait...fictional mouse? What?

Ok. Makers is one of my favorites. I'll see what I can find at the liquor store.
I started a FB group called We're trading Pedro Alvarez for a warm 6 pack and a bottle of Maker's Mark.
MM is one of my favorites and it always comes into play when my buddies and I get together for a boys night out.

Ok THAT was funny.

Funny thing happened this week. My DW grabbed the mail and there was an envelope with a return address looking like a persons home address. DW looks at it and asks "Is this something from one of your DISDads?"
This group has been officially acknowledged and on the map at the Williams household. This enables me to plant the seed for the DDCIV or V or VI trip.

And just a note for those that get frustrated with their employers. We are in the EOY review process. This year we put a TON of effort into goals and defining outcome based measurements. I was really happy about it. The dates were announced for when we had to have self-evals done and when we would start conducting the reviews with the staff. I bust my hump to get my self-eval done b\c it was going to be due while I was at WDW. I get a text from my manager while at WDW on Monday (he's awesome and I'm lucky to have a good manager) asking me for my employee ratings. Mind you, the self evals weren't due yet, but senior management wanted our ratings. UB-BE-LIEVE-ABLE. It was instant raged that had to be tempered with a Bloody Mary and a Mickey pretzel. Gotta love corporate America.

I could work on that chart next month at the office. I have three meetings scheduled, one of which is an office party, and then 2 weeks off for the holidays. I have a little time in there. :lmao:

I like Makers Mark, but have yet to try the new one. I had some Four Roses recently, but I can't remember which one I liked better (small batch or single barrel). So, I'll have to try those again.

Apologies for the rapid fire succession posts. I am catching up and my brain and typing aren't in sync!:confused3

Got to see Big Hero 6 this past weekend. It def lived up to the hype for me. I now need to carve out some time to watch Guardians.

Thanks to whomever posted here or on the FB group about the free Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack. I'm enjoying it now while I post here and pay bills.

What the heck happened in here today. :confused3

This was like the good 'ol days. :rotfl2:

Great pictures Chris!

Welcome back Jim!

Randall.... u r a funny guy. :rolleyes2

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone... even our Northern friends. :flower3:

We are prepping for 8-12'' of snow starting tomorrow morning. It was 60 degrees here yesterday and today. :faint:

HA! I love our Holiday Party for our department. We have locations in Pgh Jersey City and Nashville. Our party in the Burgh is a "can't miss event". It's a tremendous opportunity to hob knob with senior management and also watch some of them get absurdly drunk. My intent is to be there to witness that and make sure that they know I saw it. Then I weasel my way into their circle of trust. Or they make a note that I was aware and swiftly have me terminated.

It's a high risk\high reward plan. :)

Just drop the hint that there maybe photo evidence and if anything were to ever happen to you it would be made public

Good idea. I normally prefer the Lee Treino look from Happy Gilmore where I'm just sitting there conspicuously shaking my head in disbelief as a witness things.

Good morning men.

For those of us that have today as the last work day Godspeed! I am so looking forward to consuming excessive amounts of food and napping through parts of the NFL games tomorrow.

DW works tomorrow until 1PM so I'll be cooking some stuff and then take it over to the in-laws. I always do deviled eggs. I'm also making green beans that have a significant amount of bacon in them!

Also, my FIL who has been battling Leukemia has not felt great recently. They found a spot on his brain. The medical staff has downplayed it so we are hopeful that it's an infection that will be easily treated. He's going for a spinal tap and some other tests today. So any spare prayers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, guys!

Good luck with the green beans.

Hope that everything turns out great for your FIL.

Praying for your FIL. Give him an extra serving of those bacon green beans. Bacon is magic, you know. :thumbsup2

Good Morning! In the office for a few hours, heading home to start the baking with DD this afternoon. Should be a fun day. If the snow holds off, may try to put the lights on the house today. Happy Thanksgiving to all the dads and families!

Quite the opposite. Holiday fever has set in and we are all posting instead of working. Kind of like Norm on a normal day.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

DisDads is a certified cut in my house. Accepted as part of the landscape.:thumbsup2

I hope you send them :thumbsup2 :scared: :worried: :sad2: as your scale for each employee. Or you could send award 1-5 Mickeys on the scale of "i'm on vacation".:goodvibes
