A great day at the office. My first full work week in several months.

I'm still pissed off about them taking my cinnamon roll out of the bakery. I haven't had one from Gaston's yet, but the location isn't convenient for grabbing one on the way out of the park to have for breakfast the next morning.

I thought they still had some type of cinnamon roll. Is there not any other food item there that you can eat for breakfast?

True. We only know how to play Championship basketball in Kentucky.

I saw a graphic showing the highest salaries in all 4 major pro sports. The top contracts in Football, Basketball and Hockey wouldn't even crack the top 30 in Major League Baseball. Much higher pay for much lower risk or serious injury? Yup - encouraging my son to follow his baseball dreams is now not only a viable retirement plan for me, it's also good parenting!

And those are guarenteed contracts, unlike football where you can get cut.

On Tuesday we said something about it being Mickey's birthday. DD looks at us sideways and says, "I thought it was this sunday." No, sweetie, Mickey's birthday is today, we tell her. She runs to her room, throws herself on her bed, and starts crying. We ask her why she is upset, and she manages to tell us through her sobs that she thought she had more time to make him a birthday card. We tell her she can still make one after school... She sobs louder. "But it won't get there in time!!"

Isn't it sweet that our 7 year old daughter gets so upset over her relationship with a fictional mouse?

Or is it completely crazy?

Well, i certainly hope so! I'll have conference obligations and I don't know where exactly in Orlando it will be yet.

I'm sure there is but I really, really liked those particular cinnamon rolls. Like I said, I haven't tried them from Gaston's yet, but even if they are as good, the location sucks. The big thing to me was that is just what we'd always do when we stay in MK until late at night... stop by the bakery and grab some for breakfast the next morning.

I don't know what they have now. I've had breakfast pastries from Starbucks before and I'm not impressed. Considering I don't drink coffee, I probably won't even check it out.

Cute story. They break down on stuff like this, but don't have any concern in the world for their chores not being done.

I never have leftovers, so that isn't much a concern. I don't remember seeing a bunch of Starbucks crap good in there. But, it was early in AM and I hadn't drank my coffee yet. Disney changes stuff every so often - sometimes the improvement is better and sometimes not so much. It still might be worth a try.

Is aloha isle dead to you now also since they made the area around it non -smoking?

I don't drink coffee, so the fact that's now a starbucks and I can't get my ham, egg & cheese croissant anymore means I have no reason to step inside.

And moving the smoking area away from Aloha Isle just made heaven a little more heavenlyier.

I'm in a group on FB that has many families with members with special needs. This lawsuit, or I should now say these lawsuits (now that they've been split into individual family suits) have been a topic often discussed there, along with the new DAS system. For all the complaints about the system when it first rolled out, there seems to be a lot more acceptance now. I've seen quite a few families post in there about success stories with using the DAS despite their concerns going in.
