Sorry CJ. Take care of yourself and get better. I think you'll be just fine mixing Beverly and the antibiotics though.

In fact, that might even help make you better. :rotfl:

They say that anything that tastes good is bad for you. Could the opposite be true?

Killer deal on flights! Glad MS was able to work some magic for you. Take lots of pictures of the Beach Club. That is Juliana's choice for our trip next year. We are thinking the 3rd week of August- that is if we are able to get a room there. Hoping for a studio... trying to save on points.
We had wanted to be down there Friday - Tuesday. Flights were like $300 each, one way. Shifting to Wednesday night - Monday dropped them to $140. Yes, please.
Oh, and I see you're doing the final trip before Ryder needs a ticket. We did that in September with Christopher. :rolleyes1
::yes::

Congrats on the season. You must be a terrible coach if the other team put up 30 before half as I can't imagine there would be any team stacking in the 4th grade. I enjoy sports but don't get the whole administrative team stacking so that one team can dominate other teams. At least they played hard - that is worth it.
I'm helping coach 2nd grade basketball. We've only had one practice so far, but 3 of the 6 boys on the team have played baseball with each other for 3 years now and are some of the better athletes on the team. I don't know if those skills will translate from the diamond to the court, but it could be an interesting season. First scrimmage is tomorrow, so i'll let you know how it goes up against some competition.

ITS ALIVE!

Doctor diagnosed me with Atypical AKA "Walking" Pneumonia. Not as bad as it sounds. Prescribed antibiotics and said I should feel better in a couple of days.

Busy day between the doc, picking up the dogs at the vet and dropping the Brit off at the airport. Going to relax with an adult beverage and some TV. Oh wait, adult beverages and antibiotics are a no no. BEVERLY!
Glad you got a diagnosis. I hope you get to feeling better so you can stop drinking Beverly and get back to regular adult beverages.

Would you like to adopt a middle-aged man from Virginia?
I'll put it on my to-do list.

Nice Barry! The good stuff you do at a parent like this has to offset at least some of the bad habits you teach them. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Probably not, but it's the thought that counts.

I at least have an excuse. I've been working some magic with DVC Member services and Southwest to book a 3rd Birthday trip for Ryder for this March. (Don't worry, the whole family is going, not just him.)
I had booked a 1 bedroom at the Beach Club a few months ago. As I've been looking at flights, thought, it was significantly cheaper to shift the dates up just a bit. I was able to get 5 tickets down to Orlando for $700. Then with combining our Rapid Rewards points I booked the flights back home with points.

So, just like his older brother and sister, Ryder gets his 3rd birthday at Walt Disney World. Damn I wish I had me as a parent when I was growing up. :lmao:

Back in my day, my kids got ice cream for their 3rd birthday. And they liked it!

I play solitaire on my iPad. Am I middle school? :lmao:

That's cutting-edge!

But Ny-Quil has alcohol... :scratchin

Hope you feel better soon.

Funny how drinking beer is the solution to most any problem. :thumbsup2

Alcohol: The cause of--and solution to--all of life's problems!

First basketball game of the season is over. Our team got blown out. We were down by 10 at one point, and I'm not sure of the final score. However, younger dd played really well. For one of the younger players on the court, she led our team in points, blocks, and steals. And, she defended the other team's 2 best players. Unfortunately, it looks like our team was given the left over players. We had two added on the week before the game started, and they were out other two better players. The rest of the team looked clueless. I might try a four corners offense. :lmao:

Be careful what you post. As much as I enjoy lobster, I might live in the camper in your front yard. At least for the warm months of the year.

You could always write in my name. I wrote in Rick Grimes for several of our unopposed local election offices.

That's why those franchises are so successful. We don't have one near here. I cut my own hair with the clippers and #1 guard. It can't make me look uglier than I already am. Plus, it hides the gray hair. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 to DD for a great effort. Just start at the bottom and coach them up. It will be more rewarding at the end when the team is playing well. DD gets the chance to be the leader. That is either a great thing or a god help us moment in my house.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Feel free to park the camper. It will pi$$ off the neighbors.:good vibes and it would give me someone to drink with. Been watching the sports broadcasts on 3 TV's:happytv:, beer in hand, remote in the other and relaxing on the couch. Everyone should have a sports bar in their basement.::yes::::yes::

But Instagramming pictures of the flames as you're running from them is still ok though, right? :confused3

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: Perfectly OK.

Top O the Morning Dads!

Sorry about the tough draw of players. I had coached both the loaded teams and not so loaded teams back in the day. I love winning but having fun and taking those not so loaded teams and developing them were some of the best. Still see a kid at DS HS who is keeper for HS soccer team and he always says hi coach and has said thanks for coaching me all those years when I was not very good - that beats any trophy when ya think about it.

DS is now a freshman and we had most of his hoop team over on Halloween (come from 3 towns). All of them kept talking about how great basketball seasons were and all still call me "coach". It's pretty cool. We had one championship and 2 runner ups and one semifinals run. Not bad I would say.

This season I am coaching a 7th grade girls squad that has had pretty bad coaching for two years. The girls are great and work hard. We have had 2 practices and can already see them improving. Of course the coach and his assistant pulled their kids when we told them they could not coach this season. Wish me luck in the run for the trophy.:goodvibes

Friday at the office. I had Tuesday off for Election Day, so I'm keeping that 4-Day work week streak alive.

Back in my day, my kids got ice cream for their 3rd birthday. And they liked it!
!

It's amazing how much we have spent on dd's birthday parties.

Alcohol: The cause of--and solution to--all of life's problems!

::yes::

Ain't it awesome spending money in order to save it. I got the 2nd pairs of shoes for half price. See how much money I saved in buying a pair of shoes I didn't need.

I'm helping coach 2nd grade basketball. We've only had one practice so far, but 3 of the 6 boys on the team have played baseball with each other for 3 years now and are some of the better athletes on the team. I don't know if those skills will translate from the diamond to the court, but it could be an interesting season. .

I get the significance of competition, and the development of players for HS sports. I just wish they would avoid these mandatory meetings where administrators talk about wanting kids to have equal playing time, fair play, etc when they are going to stack the teams. Just say it up front and I'll coach the kids to bite their opponents. :lmao:

They say that anything that tastes good is bad for you. Could the opposite be true?

Better limit that to Beverly. I'm guessing I can produce many bad things for you to taste! :lmao: :crazy2:

Flu shot was awful this year. They usually don't bother me at all, but I was sore for a day and a half after I got my shot. :headache:
. :rotfl:

And nothing to do with us getting older. I still don't think they are necessary, but as long as I'm married, then i guess that is the way it is.

Morning guys. Happy Friday

Morning David. I guess your bunch are more used to this weather? Keep warm.

Been in contact with a few DISDads and felt I would ask you all to join me again in praying for our fellow DISDads. There seems to be a unusual amount of bad luck and depression in our little group and I would like to see us all praying for all our Bother Dads.

Be Good, Be Well, Be Smart, Be Wise and Be Happy!

Positive thoughts, prayers and bacon to all! Hope it gets better to those in need.

Not a person of prayer but I'm sending pixie dust and good vibes through the Force.

I thought I felt something tingling in the back of my brain.:lmao::lmao:

Afternoon guys,

Sicker than a dog the last couple of days. Almost went to the ER Monday night. Instead I drove down to Key Largo yesterday and leave tomorrow. Cheaper than going to the ER. Haven't been able to do much including sleeping or eating but at least I am in the Keys. My prescription seems to be working though and I feel a bit better. #hackingupalunginKL

Randall and Corey; thoughts, prayers, pixie dust, the force and virtual pats on the back to you and everyone out there.

Hey CJ, While I am supposed to relish the misery, it stinks to not feel good for a long period of time. Hope it gets better soon. If you get any really good meds, feel free to send some up here. We all had sinus infections and everyone seems to be on the road to recovery. I wonder if you have the same. Seems to be a lot of it going around.

Good morning guys. Prayers and good vibes for all #grouphug, lol

Last night was the start of DD's 4th grade basketball tournament. It was over before they started. They had a great season, but ran up against a team that could score at will. The coach called them off after scoring 30 before halftime. A lot of the girls were upset, but they played hard until the final buzzer. I'm really proud of them all.

Congrats on a good season! Just remember, before you know it they'll be off to high school. Enjoy it while you can.

Well, I feel safer...

He doesn't need to read or write. He only needs to be able to shoot straight and swing a night stick really fast.:lmao::lmao:

Internet starting to flake out again. Happy Friday guys. I'll try to check in later, but who knows if I can get it to work. Have a good weekend. Patriots are off this week so I might actually get something done around the house on Sunday.

Ae you OK? Did you fall and bump your head? Hey everyone, I think Randall has fallen and he can't get up!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Morning guys. Happy Friday

-Two days, gang. Bags are packed, itineraries are set, forecast looks good, just gotta do online check-in and off we go. Everything is looking pretty close to perfect....

except....

I have occasional(about twice a year) flareups of gout. Usually it's knocked out within 2-3 days or so with meds, but OF COURSE it's been hitting me right before this trip. Weird thing is, it's affecting my Achilles area on the right foot. Then, I kid you not, it switched over to my left achilles, and now back to my right. I'm throwing back meds, but I really need this to clear up before I walk 25,000 steps a day next week.

Otherwise, I'm so hyped I can hardly stand it.

-Cannot believe the shellacking the Browns put on the Bengals last night. Especially on the road. I've watched very little of the NFL this year, but it's pretty obvious that for the first time in forever(/noFrozen) the Browns are a legitimately well-coached team.

-Wife tried to make spaghetti the other night using spaghetti squash instead of actual pasta. #NOPE

No Beverly? That ain't right.

I don't remember the schedule of everyone's trips, but if I had to guess, I'd say there must have been several dads there the week before trying to break the Beverly record. :rotfl2::rotfl:

I've heard Beverly is good for gout. No, don't drink it. Pour that stuff right on the foot. It will burn the gout right off. Along with most of your skin and a good chunk of the muscle tissue.

We were making our regular trip to Club Cool last week and saw this...

No Beverly? That ain't right.
I noticed that a few weeks ago. You had to hunt around for one that was working. Usually the ones farthest away from the fountain had working Beverlys. Beverlies. Beverly-es. Whatever the plural of that word is.

Tried that Beverly stuff at the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta. Goodness. Thought people were gonna pass out.

Ok guys, I know I just ask for prayer, but I need it again. Please give up prayers, positive thoughts, pixie dust the force, ect., for my nemmie Carl. He is in the hospital with a blood clot in his right lung. I need him to get better, I am too old to have to break in a new nemesis!

All that sounds great - drinking, tv, neighbors - but's even colder up there. Yikes!!!

Prayers".

Thoughts and prayers to Carl.

And just so Randall doesn't feel so lost with his nemesis being temporarily out of commission, I just want to say the Rat Birds suck. :lmao::rotfl2:

Morning David. I guess your bunch are more used to this weather? Keep warm.

They thought it was pretty hot here this summer. They can't wait for snow :confused3 They may hear a few new English words if it snows like last year :lmao:

Who broke it??? It must be........the Brazillians!!!

Not Good...
All offers that can be made are being made.

He looks like Barry. It also looks fun.

Up until he bounces back up and momentum carries him off in another direction.
A quick look around the room tells me that nearly any place that he could ultimately land will not be quite so forgiving.
