Morning guys. I missed Gotham last night, so I will have to catch up next week. We got a call from our agency yesterday and they wanted to let us know that a representative of the Polish government will be visiting us in November. Apparently they want to see how life after the adoption goes, and our agency thought we would be good examples. I'm going to let that set in for a moment, lol. No pressure (insert DW panic attack).

Or maybe in this case I should call it:
The Epic Parking Series

I'm sure you'll do fine. You seem to be doing a great job of giving them a great home/family life and getting them adjusted to life here in the US. You certainly will be a good example. :thumbsup2

Boy, I'd love to hear the story behind this one.
::yes:: I'm sure it all started with the famous words, "Hey y'all, watch this."

DW is just easily excitable over these things. She is worried we will say something wrong and Poland will halt all adoptions, lol

I told her I'm wearing shorts and flip flops while drinking a beer. I want to represent 'Merica well.

What he said! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

I'm most intrigued by the fact that the car apparently went into the roof backwards.:confused3:rotfl:

One would think.
Having spent time in a couple of mountainous areas, I suspected this one had something to do with a parking lot or driveway at some distance up a fairly steep hill with the house being situated right below it toward the bottom. That’s pretty close to what happened here, but it's still an odd set of circumstances.

Here’s an article on it if y'all interested.

No email, on the 10 miler thread, they posted the link to download and print your Bib number waiver form and the link to the corral number assignments, I submitted a crappy 10k time and got corral G, I haven't trained like I should have so I'm def going to need all the extra time I can get.

By the time of the race I'll be 1 month smoke free so that should help alittle lol. I am also staying at SSR 2nd -5th

Congrats on the smoke-free. I downloaded the waiver but didn't see a corral assignment. I'll go back and look.

Thank you! I feel better then I have in a long time. On the thread I'm sure you gotta go back a few pages, the talk has picked up on the thread the closer it gets.

So, how are his sprinting and hurdling skills?
I suspect those gals have dads with shotguns as well.

Actually he's been working out and running in the mornings. I think he'll have a good sporting chance.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: I don't worry much. He's very respectful and has been the voice of reason around the house for a while. Any girl (and father) would be lucky to have him around.:thumbsup2

A friend of mine asked for prayers. So would you please pray for my friend.

Prayers being sent.

Indeed. We can all use them. Hope all have a good week, welcome back, safe travels and excess bacon in honor of the autumnal equinox.

Just had time to jump on as I was recaffeinating. This week culminates the year for me. Between Tue and Wed I will host approximately 1200-1500 Pre-K-1st graders in the pumpkin patch but I did a rough count when we walked the vines down and we had plenty (we also killed a 3.5 foot copperhead:headache:). Thursday is Natural Resources Youth Day with fewer kids but more hormones and Saturday we host the College of Ag Field Day. Unfortunately, my summer help tore a tendon in his ankle over the weekend so he won't be much help this week. All on top of my normally abnormal life issues. At least I am still on the green side of the sod though and as my DD mentioned just the other day, we should be thankful we aren't living in Syria. I think I am having a bad influence on my kids.

A copperhead!:eek::eek: Those things bite.:faint:

Good luck! I hope the Great Pumpkin shows up with lots of presents.::yes::

Kitchen remodel is on deck for us next year - your event is scaring me :scared1: Good deal and congrats to DD on all the positive hoops activity :thumbsup2 and bless the maker that the DWs did not follow through on the golf game ..........

I think it's mostly because we changed a lot of the things as we went along and timing. With fall here and winter approaching they are trying to get all of the outdoor work at some other jobs done. I can understand that. Your kitchen is an inside job. Have them do it over the winter and they'll be there without issue from my experience.

Before I forget. 9 days until daddy DD birthday trip, time for the single digit dance.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I'm confused. Isn't the ceiling of the basement the floor for the first level? How have you guys been getting around the house?

Very carefully!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Drop ceiling, 2 foot squares with LED lighting and motion detectors to make sure the lights are off when the kids forget to shut them off (or just can't be bothered).

Wanted to see Gotham as well. Will have to see it on demand.

Maybe they were hoping you'd be at work while they visited with DW and kids.:lmao::lmao: Just kidding. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. From what I have seen there is a lot to be proud of and you'll make a great example.

I bet you can't do that.:lmao::lmao:

I just got an e-mail from one of DW's friends who is a little panicked about their Disney trip. They've done no planning and leave Thursday. Looks like I'll be on the phone tonight to rescue another family's trip. I think I've bailed out 5 families this year. It's a good thing I like planning these things.

What's your current rate for Disney Magic? pixiedust:

It hurts worse when you don't have any trips of your own planned. :headache:

I'll be there soon. The Year of Chris is drawing to a close. It was fun being an AP holder and getting 5 trips in one year but after the Halloween trip I may not be back for years. The wife wants us to fly out to AZ some day, rent an RV (that there's an arrrrrveeee) and drive around to different sites for a week or so. Time to start saving for that trip.

Tenement on wheels, huh? ;) Well, don't worry. Arizona is more of a dry heat.

I hear ya, after the Disneyland Star Wars 1/2 trip, I've gotta start saving for a non Disney/universal trip in 2016, so no Disney for awhile after that.

Remember to go without a shirt and a reversed ball cap would complete the picture nicely.
Tattoos would be good as well.

Tattoos! Any suggestions :lmao:
