Morning....

Taking the girls to the Canadian National Exhibition today, despite the calls of showers and Tstorms. Still should make for a good day I think, weather might keep the crowds away, and should meet up with my brother and niece later on.

Only real obstacle I think I'll face is this was one f those things I strongly associate with Dad. He took us every year growing up, and in the later years I went with him whenever he felt like attending, a lot of good memories, but still there will be a feeling of emptiness. (The original plan had us all going this year, I missed last year for the Disney Trip). Sadness/depression aside, I still plan to hit his favourites in his honour. Crown and Anchor, The Armed Forces set up, Ice Cream-Waffle Sandwiches and Back Bacon on a bun (Canadian Bacon sandwiches). Cant avoid things, must tackle head on.

Hope you all have a good one..

Memories are both a comfort and a bit of a cloud depending on when and how they strike us.
But their appearances are far better in our lives then for us to be empty and desolate.

Enjoy the trip. Revel in the parts that are your traditions. Laugh with your girls. Drink a toast and take a moment or two to even be a bit misty-eyed over great old memories. Then go and laugh with your children again. Enjoy the trip sir. Enjoy it with all your might.

Ditto, and Carpe diem!

Being in Florida = awesome. Getting to Florida = not so awesome. Getting to Florida > being at work.:thumbsup2

Normally I don't mind the drive because it's 12 hrs to WDW and I can do that in a day. But I'm leaving after lunch and will need to stop at a hotel somewhere tonight and continue an extra 2-3 hrs past Disney to visit my mom. All in all, 15 hrs of driving. Then on Saturday morning drive 2 or 3 hrs back up to Orlando. But on the upside, I got to spend $800 getting the van in shape!:sad1:

Ouch on the 8 Benjies toward the van. I just plopped down five myself on one of our vehicles but it beats a monthly car payment and now I know I can push it that much farther. Besides, you’re headed to the World. Rough drive? Certainly. Worth it? I suspect so. Enjoy the trip and say “Hay” to Mickey for me.

Ditto, and Carpe diem!

And, and…

Carpe lardum!

Thanks! I think the Bears are gonna score a ton of points this year.

Anyone want to enlighten me as to how I can post on the Dis from my phone? I can read stuff, just can't post stuff.:confused3

Check the Google Play Store or Apple equivalent for the app.

Have fun Brent, your Dad would want you to.

‘Morning all…
As work days go this Wednesday seems no better than the last ten Mondays.
I need me some Disney.
....

Now that I have a reservation, it seems as though it can't get here soon enough. :hyper: Thankfully, my parents decided to bless us with some assistance so we can get there. Humbling accepting that as I rapidly approach 50 this year, but I look at it as they are paying for their grandkids.

... But on the upside, I got to spend $800 getting the van in shape!:sad1:

Ouch, though continuing in the theme...you have a van that you can sink $800 into unlike many who wish they just had something to drive.

Sounds like an ID10T Error
:lmao:
As the tag fairy so kindly reminds everyone...my smartphone is smatter than I am. :( Though I did manage to download and install a software update all by myself.

Anyone heard from the tag fairy? I've seen several tag worthy comments lately but maybe we have offended her. Norm should mail her some bacon, cake and beer from his dues hoard.

OK... so which of you is planning on watching the entire "Every Simpsons Ever" marathon?

25 seasons...

553 episodes...

12 straight days...

:faint:

the one i visited had decent food, but was way too expensive for my tastes. had the pick 2 thinking it was a combo discount thing, not 15-30 cents off the price of one choice.

and nobody delivers to my house, its way outside of the range.. oonly one that delivered was pizza hut way back when they had the bacon macaroni.. and only then because the website has a bug that let me omit the avenue part of my address and the system would rewrite it to cemetery road which is in delivery area (and actually a 10 minute drive through the county farther than my house.. so how is my house out of delivery area but other street isnt?). they fixed that bug sometime last year.. i dont order pizza much
