Name is Jon. Been to WDW about 18 times in my 29 years of life. Now have a 5 year old and taking her to WDW this Sept for the first time. We breathe, sleep, eat disney at my house. From "Under the sea" alarm music, to Frozen fruit snacks, to one Disney movie before bed. Can't wait for her to see the real deal in Sept.
Welcome to the Club!

Hello, my name is Corey and I love Disney!

Been a life long Disney fan, but have only been to WDW 1 time in 2008 for my honeymoon. Planning to take the soon to be 4 year old princess in February. Been reading and learning from the DIS boards and just discovered this Man Cave you have set up.

Anyways, the wife is pretty much left me in charge of the planning and I have been like a man possessed and I am loving the minutiae of the planning.

A little bit about me, I am a web/UI/UX developer for a private company. I also do freelance web work. I enjoy sports, good music, movies and a good dark craft beer.

Welcome to the club!

Are you driving through Indy at all?
Unfortunately, no. We're just skirting the northern part of Indiana this trip.

Good morning gentlemen,

Zoo day went very well. Peanut lost her first tooth there. I came prepared with a Ziploc bag so no problems. Today is back to school shopping at the Mall of America and rides at Camp Snoopy (I can't bring myself to call it by its new name).

I also became an uncle again this last week. My sister adopted a little boy. Mom wanted to give him up since it was unplanned. Through a friend of a friend they meet and the rest is history.

I like this guy already. Welcome to the funny farm. Great name too

That's great! Welcome to the family, little guy. When's his first Disney trip?

‘Morning all…
Just gott’a get through one more work day. Then we get to do all the other work we can’t do while we’re working. We’re taking out boy back up to WCU for round two of the higher education expedition (and the commiserate amassing of additional parental debt). We’ll pack it all up tonight and get an early start in the morning. Should be a busy day.

Name is Jon. Been to WDW about 18 times in my 29 years of life. Now have a 5 year old and taking her to WDW this Sept for the first time. We breathe, sleep, eat disney at my house. Welcome sir!
You are certainly in the right place here. Looking forward to hearing about your young’en’s introduction to The World.

My goal is to cross the finsih line before they start taking it down!

Grab a beer, pull up a lawn chair and join in on the conversation.
Post all the questions you like as well, there’s a wealth of Dis knowledge ‘round here.

Morning Men. Seems like I am in charge today, my boss emailed me yesterday afternoon and copied our corporate manager saying he will be out. Woohoo!! Pizza and beer in the breakroom!

That’s a whole lot better than yesterday.
Obviously your bosses need to take far more time off.

Good morning. Friday couldn't come soon enough.

Long week I take it…
Well at least it’s not related to one of cunning plans to wreak havoc upon your world.
(so far as you know)

I am an amateur BBQer, so if you all don't mind coming up to NY I can throw a few pork shoulders, a brisket and some ribs on the smoker to pay my dues. I'm sure DW wouldn't mind :thumbsup2
Mmmmmmm… BBQ
It’d be a bit of a drive for me but there are a few folks up in CT, MA and even the GTA that just might consider such.

Congrats on the expanded family, and good planning on your part in being prepared to deal with that all-important first tooth. So what kind of swag did she score from the tooth fairy?

3 1/2 more hours of work, then it's off on a two week road trip. Starting out going through Detroit and into Canada and on to Niagara Falls where I hope to meet up with Brian and Brent. Then Cooperstown, NY for the baseball hall of fame, some hiking in Vermont's Green Mountain National Forest and singing "I'm On A Boat!" with Tim and his family in CT. Whale watching off of Rhode Island, some exploring of New Hampshire and Maine seashores, walking the Freedom Trail in Boston, then a couple of days in New York City. Then we'll head south along NJ, take the ferry into Delaware where we'll have some of the pizza that Mrs. Captain_Oblivious claims to be her favorite. (She's setting some high expectations, Mark.) Then it's off to Virginia for a little bit of time in Shenandoah National park, a day in Pittsburgh, a stop at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH, then back home.

Is anyone else exhausted just reading that? Because I'm not gonna lie, I had to take a break half way though typing it to take a nap.

Welcome Jon!:welcome:

That's how it starts. We went for the first time with the kids 8 years ago and have been back every year since (sometimes twice). We leave the 20th for a family trip and then returning in October with DD for a birthday surprise. September will be a great time. If you let us know the dates, Randall will update page 1 and we can send some suggestions over.

Go, go, go Gadget ladder!

I sass Randall quite often. He just repeats the same response

Good morning and Happy Friday!!

We have our draft today for the company season tickets to Colts games. The only game not available this year is the Patsies ;)

Looking at trying for the Eagles and the Ravens.

Good morning sir.

You don't want to be at that game anyway since the Pats plan to be up about 24 by half time.:lmao::lmao::lmao: Come vista Revis Island!:thumbsup2

Matt

Posting two days in a row, no boss and being in charge....Looks like things are looking up. Have a good Friday.

5 working days left before the August trip! Woo-Hoo!:cool1: You know what that means......Absolutely no work will be done after today.:rotfl2:

Morning all. Team Sparrow shall rise.

We always wanted to take a trip out the Mall of America. Maybe next year.

I hope the tooth fairy has taken notice and plans a nice surprise for that first tooth.

Congrats on the addition to the family!

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Have a great trip. When do you plan to be in Boston? A meet up may be in order or if you have the time maybe visit the Museum of Science of Aquarium. We are members and if I am not in Disney while you are around can say hi and get you into the exhibits.

Ok, so we decided to go forward with remodeling and finishing the basement. I cried a little as I wrote out that deposit check, all but assuring no Disney trip next year, no new car this year and lots of peanut butter and jelly for lunch. Job starts when we head out to Disney on the 20th so we won't be around for the demolition and framing. To be completed by mid September and plans exist for a blow out Halloween party. Your all invited! Except CJ of course. We'll post pics for him so he can feel like he was there.

The vision is a large family room with a television for watching movies and shows (size TBD, but BIG is a must), a separate TV for the Wii and PS4, a third in the bar....Oh, did I forget to mention the full bar we are putting in?:thumbsup2 Silly me.....A exercise and game room (with more tv's of course) and lots of new storage to keep our crap hidden. Plans are in place to pick up some Disney art while in the world for the bar and family room. Will try to take some before and after pics to post.

Baseball and basketball try outs this weekend for the kids. My softball all star game on Sunday and DW aunt is coming up from FL tonight so having a cookout with family after work today. Glad the weekend is here, but it's going to be busy.

Friday morning, page 39 ownage!

Looks like the early lead belongs to Darcy. This post will put me into 4th.:lmao::lmao:

I need to get the post count up before I leave. I think my multi post ability may stop working soon.:lmao::lmao:

Top O the Friday Morn'n Gents! DS off to school this morning :lmao: (he gives me crap every Sunday night during the summer about having to go back to work). He only has a half day so this weekend is basically the last summer weekend as he hits full time Monday and we move DD back to UTC next weekend. Luv her to death but time to goooooooooooo :rotfl2: Nephew is coming in to town to spend time with my ILs so we will get some family time in but looks like a rainy weekend around here. Everyone have a good weekend as the NFL gets into full time now :cool1:

Does not feel like a year has passed as we were both sending the first ones off to college. We have much less to move this time as DD & roommate rented a storage space by campus so only clothes, personal items and electronic stuff to take down which with DD is still too much. Safe travels and and the best to the boy.

Boston is just going to be a stop-over on the way from Maine to NYC. Just enough to get out of the car, stretch our legs, and take in some history. We'll be there on the 16th if you want to say hi or get some lunch or something.

Sounds like a great addition to the living space. :thumbsup2

Good morning! School already.:confused3 Kids don't go back until after Labor Day and we are already at June 25th for release next year without snow days.:sad2::sad2: If last year is any indication and those polar vortex's, we'll be in school until July.:headache:

Pats didn't look so good last night. Looks like Mallet is heading out the door and we will have a new back up in the rookie. 9 defensive starters did not play, Brady and all starting wide outs did not play and Gronk at home partying so no real indication on what the season will look like. I will say that as fun as RGIII is to watch, Cousins may just be the better NFL QB. If you feel like experiencing NE in the fall, come on out for the Bears/Pats game and I'll show ya around.

I just got done looking up that place you went to a few years back with the X-Wing and added that to our list for this month's road trip. Now this?!? I will have exactly 0 work-related productivity today. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just doing my part to make you feel like a state employee. I just hope you enjoy the X-wing place as much as we did.

Page One Updated! :thumbsup2

It is also an app for your smartphone, available in the Iphone Apps Store and Google Play. ;)

I may or may not have downloaded it...:rolleyes1

Whale watching? Did I ever tell you our whale watching story? Maybe I'll wait till after your trip.

And yes, it's exhausting, but think of all the stories you'll have! I only say this to try and justify our craziness as well.

Hope you like the pizza. If not...well, it's still better than Chuck E. Cheese. And we can always give the kids lots of sugar afterwards while we grab a beer or something.

Anyway, have fun storming the Eastern Seaboard!

Well, since Brian won't be there with you, maybe this time when your families meet for pizza it won't be a 2 hour wait for a table.

Have a great trip, Barry.

Sounds like the makings of a great room.
