Afternoon everyone...day off, good time to catch up.
Watching Miss America, they showed them at WDW, this was during our last trip we meet Miss PR and Miss NJ and wished them luck, din't really think much of it at the time but now it brings back trip memories :good vibes, too bad they were not being filmed at the time that would have really been cool if we were on tv, but it just goes to show you really never know what's going to be going on around WDW

In 2011 I was waiting for DW and Oldest DD to come off Star Tours when the whole contingent of contestants exited the ride. Can't go anywhere without being swarmed by beautiful women, it's a blessing and a curse.
Not liking the idea. We enjoyed Maelstrom and I am partial to the WS stuff being more themed to culture and the countries, but I guess the writing was on the wall.
Only rode Maelstrom once, last year, so I don't have the attachment to the ride to get overly upset.
It's been in the 40's here in the morning. I actually like the cool/colder weather in the morning and night and 70 degree days. Not looking forward to winter though. I think I'll burn some more fossil fuels and see if I can get the temp up a little.

I love the fall, it's doesn't have that "ugh" factor I get with spring, not too hot or cold, nice in the day, cool at night, can keep windows open.

I swallowed my pride and we went on Sunday with everyone else. Girls had a good time, Audrey wanted to go on every ride, even the intimidating ones. Alas, karma did strike, my brother's oldest came down with something so he bailed out to stay home with her.
I don't like wasting my days off sitting around waiting for others, there were other things we could have done if they decided to bail Friday night due to dicey weather, not tell me mid afternoon the plans are off. There is also an issue with everyone agreeing to change dates for things without asking us whether or not we can accommodate them. I have a different schedule then the rest of my family due to work, but they can't see past that and can't figure why I have to work Saturdays/Sundays
Not sure to be thankful or not. DW tells me that oldest dd (12) complains to her that she is not as developed there as the other girls in her class. I guess that's good she is not getting that attention, but bad that DW wants to talk to me about that stuff.
At 9, oldest DD has started. I tell DW this is her show, not mine.

Flights confirmed? ✓
Kids still don't know ✓
Leave for Florida in the A.M? ✓
I guess we are ready to go! We leave for Florida in the morning staying with DW cousin tomorrow night. We drive to Port Canaveral Thursday morning for 3 days on the Dream then checking into BLT on Sunday (to Thursday) for our first stay as DVC members.
The kids have no idea that we are going
we still don't know what we are going to tell them. The good thing is we don't have to leave the house till 7:15am so we don't have to wake them too early. I'm leaving the computer home so I'll try to post a pic or 2 from my phone.

I thought of that as well. He was standing in the middle of the lane with both arms out wide yelling "slow down". I thought about taking a picture, but not sure if adding those quotes into it would have accurately portrayed the level of idiocy.
