Afternoon gents. Bit late checking in today - completely wacko these days at work. Happy Birthday Barry!

Morning guys
Welcome back
Good morning gentlemen.

I've been up since 4:30 with a little girl who is not going to be late for her first day of school. Lunches are packed and ready. And Stretch is learning a valuable life lesson, women take forever in the shower, deal with it and hope they save you some hot water.
Both very cute stories :thumbsup2
Is anyone else psyched about Star Wars Rebels? I never watched Clone Wars and by the time I heard it was really good, I felt like I was too far behind to catch up. Anyway, I spent about an hour this weekend watching all the videos they had on youtube. Can't wait. How can I find out if they will be available on demand?
DS & me are big SW fans and he has been all over the Rebels show. Gonna premear on Disney channel with 1 hour episode then switch over to Disney XD so I guess check that those channels have on demand.

In Wisconsin she could drink at the bar.
Your jealousy is overflowing.

And happy birthday. To celebrate, bring Ryder to a bar and have one on us.
Excellent idea. I'll even let him pick up the tab.

Barry!
Happy Birthday.
Better make that seven beers and a double order of cheese curds.
:thumbsup2

But bringing her to a bar is totally cool. :thumbsup2

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

What...your dad never brought you to the bar with him? :lmao::lmao: It's not really a "bar" so we should be good.

Brilliant. You put up the capital and I'll call the show. :lmao:

How much capital do we really need? We can steal CJ's car, find a trampoline in someones back yard and we are all set. Now we just need some volunteers to show it really works.

Bring her along. I am sure she will be better company than you are. I'll PM you and Norm when we get closer.

Of course she will. She'll be missing school and lovin' Disney.:thumbsup2

Barry!
Happy Birthday.

Awesome that she's psyched up about school. That's fun while it lasts. Both of my girls enjoy school, but they aren't rah-rah about it.

But bringing her to a bar is totally cool. :thumbsup2

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:
I concur with that.

Had a couple of cool moments today.
1. While cutting the grass, I spot a mole that ran from the mower and started to burrow. I was by my fire pit and I quickly grabbed one of the wooden sticks that I use as a poker. I stabbed the mole right in its noggin. Sorry, not sorry PETA.

2. Proud Dad moment - DW was working, so I was in charge. I go out to cut the grass. Gave my kids their marching orders, (do homework, take showers, empty the trash cans from their rooms, etc.) I'm in the garage and my oldest DD comes out and tells me that my youngest broke her mom's handheld mirror. My oldest DD did nothing to get her sister in trouble and cexplained to me how it happened and she was very clear about it being an accident. I go inside and I have complete rage internally but am outwardly emotionless. I go grab the vacuum to make sure there is no glass. Only to my surprise, my oldest DD cleaned up the shards of glass AND vacuumed up everything. Meanwhile my youngest is bawling terribly out of fear. I quickly consoled her explaining that accidents happen and she need not be worried. I went out of my to emphasize to my soon-to-be 10 yo how proud I was of her actions.
I was so proud of my DD for taking care of the situation and even more so for being compassionate towards her little sister.

Every once in a while, it's nice to see things like that happen and to get that affirmation that you're doing okay as a parent.

Great story and good for big sis. Hate to tell you but in a few years you might get a call from one of them letting you know she dinged a car in the parking lot. Trust me, I know. Called upon all my reserve and the knowledge that I really beat up the car when I was her age and instead of killing me, my dad told me accidents happen.

Thanks and I appreciate the advice. That's why I didn't say a word when I walked in. I admit that I will snap at times, usually unnecessarilly.

Last summer when my FIL was very sick, I spent ALOT of time with my girls so my DW could go to the hospital. It helped me to stop sweating the small stuff.

During a homily about a year ago, our priest was talking about asking for things in prayer. And he made a GREAT point. He used patience as an example. He said, "God won't just give you patience. What he will provide you with, is the opportunity to practice patience."

It warmed my heart to see that sibling bond and concern today. Both of my girls are very mature for their respective ages, but at times will absolutely fight like cats and dogs. This was a memorable moment for me.

Well done dad, and awesome job by your DD!

Good morning guys. Today our oldest DS, Thomas, turns 10. He is very excited about having his first birthday in America. I'm pretty sure he thinks there will be a parade or something in his honor, lol

We are trying to keep him a little humble. He snapped his fingers at one of his sitters yesterday and said they had to do something because tomorrow was his birthday. :confused3

That did not fly well with his mother :scared: I think he learned that you don't snap your fingers in front of mom like you expect her or any of your sisters to jump.

Happy Birthday Barry!!!!

Happy Birthday Barry!:cool1:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARRY!

Thanks Guys!

I'm from Wisconsin. Yeah, I've been to bars.
The three little towns out where I live got together to form a youth softball league. Between all the towns, there were fields at 2 parks and 2 bars. No one thought twice about scheduling the 1st graders to play at Greenie's. :rotfl2:

Can you get him to Disney World by 3pm?:confused3 Happy Birthday!

Good morning. I love these short work weeks. It feels like hump day, but tomorrow is Friday. :thumbsup2

Morning all. Beautiful day here. I've got all my work done, so I'll go cut the grass in a few hours. This week has flown by.

Bring her along. I am sure she will be better company than you are. I'll PM you and Norm when we get closer.
.

My dds have been to ESPN club several times. And, if I'm going, they'll be not too far back. They aren't passing up all those tvs. :lmao:

!

Yeah, my dad took me to bars as he sold and supplied popcorn and other concession supplies. We need volunteers for that project? There are lots of back to school freshman on campus. :lmao:

I will happily take his money.

Good dad moment. It's great when they actually do something you've taught them to do.

.

Our priest delivered a similar homily. I decided not to pray for patience anymore, as I was already failing at all the current practice opportunities.

Happy Birthday to DS. We were talking the other day and hope we can do Huber Farms for strawberries again next year, and meet the rest of the family.

Good morning. I love these short work weeks. It feels like hump day, but tomorrow is Friday. :thumbsup2

But, we will pay for it next week. After four day work weeks June & July, August has been difficult.
