Afternoon men. between work and school I'm having a hard time keeping up.

Welcome to the new members. .

Can't let work interfere with Distime.

Yankee Stadium opened in 2009 - so exactly one World Championship has been bought ... sorry, "won" there.
!

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao:

Just saw Marathon weekend has opened up registration today for DVC and AP holders. The Cheetah will be doing the full and both of us are doing (maybe, hopefully) the 5K.
.

Glad to hear she is well. Hope all is ok.

.
Actually, yes :wizard: I re-read it yesterday... Cant' believe how fast time is flying by!
:

And how much older our dds keep getting.

Been gone for awhile - life happens. So, trying to get back into the swing of things with at least one visit a day..

Good to have goals. :thumbsup2

I'm so epicly far behind I'll just start over. Work is keeping me crazy busy. I'm now working 40 hours a week. The kids are still growing like weeds and getting into everything..

40 hours a week of work stinks.

Afternoon gents. Back from a couple day trip just getting ready for the NHL playoffs. Surprised no mention of it yet as the playoffs start tonight but then again folks that live in cities north of the border likely aren't aware of what hockey playoff games are ;)

Welcome aboard :thumbsup2

I'm into baseball right now.

I think a road trip is in order. Bourbon bar, yummm. We went out to lunch after a quick stop at her doctor's office. First thing she did is change into shorts and she wanted to eat outside. "I think I am a Florida person after all." .

Yup, told ya. As for the bourbon, it would be great to take you to the one here. Or, you can just take that $300 from the plane ticket and buy you some. I'll let you know the good brands.

I week till (da da---- da da da ) Disney:banana::yay:

Have a great trip.

Hi all,

I humbly ask that you consider my application for membership to the group.

I have wanted to work for Disney since my first trip when I was 12, but now that it looking unlikely unless I can wangle a retirement job there in a few years. My daughter has now taken on the quest to be an imagineer.

Living in the UK means that trips to WDW are expensive but I have still managed a Disney holiday of one variety or another every year since 2007. Unfortunately I pointed this out to my wife, so this year is off the cards.

I have visited WDW, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and been on the Magic and Wonder.

I also develop mobile apps in my spare time, and have just released my first Disney one called PhotoSpot WDW which helps you take better photos in the parks.

I rest my case.

Thanks

Peter

Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whips, bacon, beer, or cake. You mail them all to me and I distribute them to everyone. Ignore all other previous posts with that reference.

When life gives you lemons you make lemonade, but what can you make from all that Beverly?
:

You could make a doll and name in Beverly and then.......

Welcome to the Club Peter.

Sounds like a cool app.

NHL playoffs start in 3 minutes! Go Habs!

Does anyone know when the Leafs play?

A game at Fenway is a must do, at least once, if you're a baseball fan. However, a saturday night game, with the whole family, and a rowdy (i.e. drunk) Boston crowd? Probably not the best introduction to our lovely city. (Know thyself ;))

A game at Fenway will be checked off the list in July with a little help from a friend.

:thumbsup2

I saw the Goofy medal... It's a spinner for the 10 year anniversary (a lot like the 20 year marathon one)... It's making me think I may have to do it...

Where did you see it? Told her about it and she is rethinking her choice of races.

Hey guys... went to BG today and had a blast! Emma got to spend time with friends that she grew up and she really enjoyed it. Time to go relax. I leave you with some proof...

:welcome: to the group Peter!

Where are you going in Maryland?
Ocean City… hanging out with Melody's father. He ended up moving there in June. I would of hit you up but I think you told me you were 3 hours from here. popcorn::

Summer road trip planning is in full swing and, like all of our vacations, being replanned constantly. I think we're on our final iteration, but in need of a bit o help. We'll be leaving York, ME on our way to New York City on August 16. We're looking for something interesting to do for half a day or so around Boston and I'm opening the floor to suggestions. I'm looking at you Paul, Jim and any other Eastern Massachusetts dads. DW would prefer not to go into Boston, but I'm sure I could persuade her if the place/event warranted it. (We were out there 15 years ago and the city just left a bad impression on her.) We'll have DD9, DS7 and DS2, something like a Sam Adams Brewery Tour probably won't work.

Thanks guys!. :thumbsup2
Basketball hall of fame?

Yankee Candle headquarters?

Butterfly farm?

Ok... I don't like the Red Sox, and haven't even looked at the schedule, but if I'm that close to Boston in the summer, I'd definitely have to consider seeing a game at Fenway.
::yes:: Great place to catch a game and to party before and after. :thumbsup2

The drunken Sconnie is passing up a brewery tour. We are approaching The End Times.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Probably further south than you want to go but outside New York there is an amusement park called Playland. It is in Rye, just north of the city. It will give the kids a new appreciation of all things Disney. Went there when the Pirate Princess was around nine. By the time we left, she called it Pitiful-land.
Never heard of it…. glad I haven't.

They're in town that day. But at over $120 for the family for Standing Room Only tickets - I think not. :scared1::eek:
Little pricey.

I've got breweries in my own back yard I can tour. Why would I want to see how they make that crap?
Which ones? popcorn::

And don't worry, I'll give equal time to Yankee Stadium by avoiding it like the plague as well. :thumbsup2
Smart move… it'd cost you double the Fenway prices to catch a game there. :cool2:

Hold your horses! You should treat Yankees Stadiu like mecca. Where else can you see where 27 World Championships have been won???
I was going to mention that only 1 has been one there but I see you have already been corrected. :rotfl2:

However I did carry a case of Yuengling Carl gave me through the park where the old stadium stood. :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I should come up for a game. I'm sure we could get in plenty of trouble.

Wow…. funny. :badpc:

Figures it'd open while I was on vacation. :badpc:

Humm… you'll have some one to run the 1/2 with then.

Correction... only 1 World Series has been won there. :rolleyes1
:duck:

Haters gonna hate

I guess I should have said you can see 27 Championship trophies on display. A bunch of smart a$$es
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hello Nemie. I see my assassins have failed

:welcome: Pete!

Definitely a lot for the kids to do in Boston for half a day, a DuckBoat tour would be awesome. My kids enjoy that. I'll think of some others.
Hmmm...my kids love the Duckboats in Wisconsin Dells and Branson. That may be a good idea.
If we're in town that day we'd love to have you over for lunch/dinner/bbq depending on your timing. We're right on that route.
That's a good idea too! I'll let you know for sure once we get all of our plans taken care of. We could do some marathon training! (Assuming you have a patio table with an umbrella and some beer.)

:scared:

Exactly. Of course my team last won a World Series before the titanic sunk
Just wait until next year.

And it may be awhile before they win again. If the Red Sox can do it, then there is always hope for the Cubs!
.........i'm trying to figure out if that's supposed to be an encouraging statement or just making fun of us..........

Probably both.

Exactly. Of course my team last won a World Series before the titanic sunk
My team last won one... in 1990. :rolleyes1 Better than being a Cubs fan, but still more than 20 years ago. But I still remember it like it was yesterday.

They really need to get their $H!7 together and take care of business this year. :rotfl:
