DIS Dads DDC XXXII: A Dole Whip in Paradise

Hey guys I have safely made it to my deployed location. I would say I am going to go back and reaald all the posts but to be completely honest I dont think I will be doing that beccause I just spent over 30 hours on and off a plane. Hope everyone is doing well.

Good Luck. We're all counting on you. Let me know how that frozen stuff is. DD wants to go but I'd rather hop out of DHS and get another half day of MK. We'll let YOU decide.

We followed some advice from folks on the DIS and did the sing along show and fireworks. Both were very good with fireworks / stage show / live band concert very good.

I've got a sunburn, a hundred mosquito bites and my chest, shoulders and arms are sore from too much time battling for supremacy of an inflated tube being pulled by a boat at slightly ridiculous speeds over choppy waters in Northern Wisconsin. I'm feeling bloated from the mass consumption of beer and food cooked over a fire. I almost got attacked by a small mouth bass while looking for a sunken wiffle ball. God I love vacation.

Sounds like a great time and reminds me of some vacations with a friends family up in Hayward WI at their lake house.

Made it through a full day at DHS yesterday with DD and wheelchair without issue. Great day and the Frozen sing along show - real good especially since temporary, and fireworks really rocked.

From today, hope this puts a smiles on your faces as we took today as a resort / pool day.

Aw, c'mon! That pre-dates my initiation to the DISDads! It was spoken of in hushed tones in 2013. I was very disappointed when I failed to see the drunken debauchery that many had referenced!
I think they had 2 moderators watching the forum for 48 hours to keep this group in check!

Been away since Friday morning and I come back to find this sucker still going. Every one on vacation or what?


Had a nice weekend in PEI with DW, DS and the Inlaws. DS and his team played up an age class and came home with a loss and 2 ties. Could have easily been 2 wins as they gave up the goals late in both games, 1 was pretty close to the 90 minute mark.

The cottage we rented was, less say, rustic at best but we enjoyed it and we took DS to his first drive-in movie last night.

Ah yes, Thanksgiving's 2011...

I do not recall the incident you have mentioned.

The water was a bit "refreshing." I think my nephew said it was about 68° or so. The extended family from Texas and Tennessee seemed content to sit on the shore or just ride in the boat. Where's the fun in that?

You guys are a bunch of liars. None of those things happened. I finished the last movie last night and was moderately entertained. All in all, they were pretty good and I can see why kids like them. But I could have done without the 2nd and 3rd movie. When they got older and things got darker I enjoyed it more. It was interesting watching the movies in just a few days and to see how much the kids changed from one movie to the next. I couldn't tell if Ron was hitting the weight room or was getting fat though.

Obviously, he did not see the same movies we did. Chris, I would ask for your money back on the DVDs.
