Normally, we go to Mass Saturday evening when we are at WDW on vacation. CJ and Chris and some other DisDads are going to be there that weekend. I'm hoping to get a group meet in. Since I don't know the race stuff, I'm going to stay flexible and hopefully coordinate schedules. Maybe I can talk DW into going to Mass Sunday morning.

DD says she wants to do the 5K and that's at 7:30AM, should be done by 8:30 if not before. And the 10miler is at 10pm so roughly we are free from 9am to 6 PM or so, I'm guessing a nap before the race would prob be a good idea.

I apologise if this has been talked about in the past but I learned something new, I accidentally searched for Disney Dad instead of DisDad and it brought up the urban dictionary def of a Disney Dad: A father who doesn't have physical custody of his child. So, to compensate for this, he makes the visitation times with his child all about fun. The child's homework isn't done, there isn't a set bedtime and the child stays up late, the child watches all kinds of inappropriate movies/tv/video games. The father is more like a "friend" that's a bad influence than a parent.

This type of father chooses to live far away enough from his child so he has an "excuse" not to participate in school and extra-curricular activities, unless he wants to.

He will also dictate to the custodial parent on how to raise his child but rarely offers to help in the rearing in any manner.

Learn something new everyday. I'm sure this is common in parenting, but still feels wrong.

I've never heard of that. Is that a common saying? :confused3

I've personally never heard it used in this manner, It's the urban dictionary which allows people to submit words and definitions to add so I imagine its not common and prob no one uses it.

Yep. In my line of work, that definition of disney dad is all too common

Good morning guys! Sorry about the SIL Norm, I hear Angelina Jolie is playing her in an upcoming movie.

Great trip so far with taking in all the St Pats partying, singers & dancers at Raglan Road Saturday Night. Hit AK yesterday then closed the night out with the Brown Derby Fantasmic dinner pkg. got back to BLT in time to catch wishes from the viewing deck

Have a good one guys

I was afraid I was gonna have to give Old Man Winter a kick in the junk, but he seems to have taken pity on me. Should be able to fly out of here as scheduled.

Good morning. I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Norm, it is too bad that your FIL insists on everyone staying in the same resort. My first thought was to stick your BIL and SIL somewhere else... even if it means putting them up in a deluxe while you slum it. :lmao:

I guess you could go with Fort Wilderness and just request cabins that aren't exactly right next to each other. :rolleyes1
