Morning Guys.

we managed to dig out after the storm and reopened the Province today. :lmao:

DS is playing in the age-class provincial basketball championship this weekend, starting later this afternoon. They will be in tough as they were moved up to the top tier. Hopefully the lessons learned from knocking off the top team in middle school will help those players and let them lead the others in a determined effort.

It was a 65 gallon. We now have a 75 gallon.

Can you rent them from your utility or do you have to buy it yourself?

That happened to us during the worst of the winter. Ugh.

Speaking of unexpected expenses, DW asked me to look at a house today during lunch. I had no idea we were ready to move but apparently we are.

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Congratulations??

Good morning guys! Just need to get through the day and tomorrow arrive at the world. Looking forward to St Pats weekend in the world to start off the trip :shamrock:

Have a good week guys and will try to check in as best I can.

Happy Friday. Water heater had to be replaced. Better now then while we are gone.
Sorry bout that, hope not too much

All the best to Declan and his team

 Ouch, that's a big one to come out of left field. Looking forward to meeting you Tuesday - safe travels.

Yeah. Something's not right here. If we'd been super conservative lately (which we normally are) I'd understand. But the Year of Chris has been expensive and we're still only in March.

So I guess this means you won't be swinging by the car dealership to pick out your new wheels on your way to look at the house? :confused3 :rolleyes1

Good Morning Men!

Prayers for those in need; Praise for those deserving; Disney, Dole Whips & Bacon for All!

And wishing you all a CJ Kind Of Day!

Peanut butter, Beverly, Beverly, Beverly..

Hot water heat just crashed :(
Ours went a few weeks ago too. What a pain in the Peanut Butter. Glad you got it fixed quickly.

Happy Friday. Water heater had to be replaced. Better now then while we are gone.
That happened to my neighbor last summer when they were away in Puerto Rico with their family for a baseball tournament. They had to gut their brand new refinished basement because it was full of mold when they got back.

Nope. I'll keep the 2003 Camry with mismatched hubcaps a bit longer. And her '06 Sienna will have to last a bit longer too.

The problem is that this house is in the neighborhood we've always wanted to get to and it was some kind of bankruptcy/foreclosure/bank kind of thing. So it's priced about $50k less than what it's probably worth. So while we thought we'd be in the market a year from now, this opportunity may be too good. It just went on the market yesterday, but hopefully someone else will buy it soon so we won't have to worry about it. It's just weird b/c both of us are hyper-conservative when it comes to money but the last few months (and next few months) have been bananas.

Nope. Although I do work for the world's largest used car retailer and get a discount, I'll keep the 2003 Camry with mismatched hubcaps a bit longer. And her '06 Sienna will have to last a bit longer too.

Understand entirely. We've been in that same boat... spending more money than normal this past month. Not looking at houses.

That certainly could be one of "too good to pass" situations. I wish you luck in either getting a chance to buy it now for a great price while interest rates are still low, or having someone else buy it first. Whichever outcome you actually prefer. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Friday morning ownage. To wrap up spring break we're doing a Disney movie marathon. Its too icky to go outside today and DW put the kaboosh on a Star Wars marathon.

I think that this winter has gotten the better of DW. She's looking at cities warmer than here (that's just about anywhere) where her company has a presence. We've narrowed it down to Kansas City, Omaha, Portland, Seattle, and Denver. Do I think we'll move? No, but one more winter like this and we might be heading to a warmer climate.

Take me with you
It was a 65 gallon. We now have a 75 gallon.
I'd still go ahead of the wife if I were you.

Last week DW showered just before the kids got up. Then Peanut hit the shower. 45 minutes later when she got out it was Stretch's turn. Poor boy had to take a 60 second shower because they took all the hot water. And this water heater is a week old.

Good luck?
As I've said before, if there's a bun in the oven, I wasted money and a day of sick leave on some surgery a while back!
But did you go back a month later to make sure like you're supposed to?

‘Morning all…
Clawing out of the morass that is my employment for just long enough to check in. Hope all are doing well.

I made it early this morning. And now am sitting at work with my head propped up. If I make a post later that looks like random letters, I apparently fell asleep face down on my key board.
Pictures or it didn't happen.

Nemesis or not… that was funny.
The only thing that could have added would have been a caption below the picture that looked something like this:

You went to work to escape from the baby crying. I mean, to let the baby learn independence without your presence. That sounds better.

THUTH!
(and on many levels)

Unexpected expenses are a Royal Pain Diaz.
Good you got is fixed quickly… bad that it cost money that was planned for other things…
Certainly better now then while no one was home for days on end (that would have been bad).

Yeah, but we'll still beat the dolphins.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

So… that’s an accomplishment?
And one worth bragging about?

I hate you sir…

No, not true… I envy you sir.
Yah, that would be the truth.

Hope y’all have a wonderful time (and that is true)

That’s… quite the left field announcement.
No warning, no nothing, just: hay I want you to look at this house I now want.
:faint:

So is it bigger and pricier or more economical in nature?

I'll be the poor-looking guy.

Perfect camouflage! That’s exactly how the rest of us look.
Well… possibly except for CJ, but it does apply to most of us anyway.

And that does kind’a answer that last question I asked, now don’t it?

Slightly bigger, closer to church and work. One additional bedroom which is key because right now my girls share a room but that won't last forever. Did I mention the pool? We also wanted to get in to a certain school district and this would accomplish that. I honestly hope it sells quickly or the bank/owner won't budge on price.

?

Jump while you can. We live here since all of DW's family live here. Now, we only see them four times a year, but there is no way we could ever move to another city. I'm just hoping that I can convince her 10 years from now when I retire.

Wow, you use words that I have no idea what they mean. But, it sounds really cool.

Yeah. Something's not right here. If we'd been super conservative lately (which we normally are) I'd understand. But the Year of Chris has been expensive and we're still only in March.

Is this the 40th midlife crisis?

Those special deals are hard to pass up. And, 50K is a lot of extra house. Good luck. While I may not like being close to the family, DW were on the same page when it came to our house. We did the new construction, 1500+ square feet, and pay it off in 20 years. We won't move unless I can talk her into moving near WDW.

I thought I was supposed to get a convertible with one of those.:confused3

And that's the other thing. We refinanced a few years ago to a 15-yr mortgage. We'd almost certainly have to go back to a 30 to do this. That goes against all the plans I had. Oh well - time to go look at the house and veto this plan before it gets any further.
