Thanks for the prayers and well wishes guys. Hopefully everyone is headed in the right direction. I just heard a commercial about Sunday and being Groundhog Day and they plan to televise him coming out before the Superbowl. With this weather, the only way he's comes out is if they drag his little furry a$$ out kicking and screaming. I think we need a caption contest on what he is thinking.:lmao::lmao:

Ok so our boys have had yesterday and today off from school.

Is it wrong for us to deny friends from coming over? They had some friends wanting to come over but we knew their sister and now dad is sick. We don't want to catch anything this close to our trip.

It may be mean but dang it, I don't want to deal with sick kids at WDW if I can help it. Now just to cross our fingers they don't already have a bug working in them or that they don't catch anything tomorrow at school.

Nope. Quarantine is not only a good option, it should be expected with a vacation coming up.

Nothing wrong with a quarantine right before a trip to Disney :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

All the work is done for the remainder of the day, almost remainder of the week. Time to bring in the pillow tomorrow.

Don't sweat the getting ready stuff. For our Hawaii/Disneyland trip I set the alarm to wake up a couple of hours before the car was supposed to come to take us to the airport. Screwed that up and awoke to the car guy calling me to say he was outside. Not yet packed but luckily the clothes were washed. Threw some stuff in the suitcase and we were out the door in 15 minutes. It can be done when vacation is calling. Hope everyone gets better and you have more than 15 minutes to pack..

You really seem to have a problem on when vacation times begin & end. I'll gladly go on vacation with you as your human alarm clock at your expense.

IF they are sick, then stay away.

Today was certainly a good day :confused3, banged out just a few bucks short on a lottery hit to pay for our WDW AP's:cool1: I Love it when a plan comes together:thumbsup2
I have a prime Gift Auction this weekend, it could turn out to be a Great week:confused3:goodvibes

You need to win some cash to help with all those Trips this year. Buying APs or DVC means you go to WDW more often.

Good morning. Stay safe out there for those of you near New Siberia.

I know you want to make the transition on the children easier, but you don't have to freeze the rest of us. BTW, any updates?

Health Update:

At this rate, nothing is getting done around the house and we'll never be ready to travel in a few weeks. At this point, I may need prayers for everyone to get better so I don't have to cancel the Dominican trip.:headache:

Still spelling Disney wrong. Prayers for all those health issues.

I'll second that. Though I am looking forward to the day it becomes part-time.
.

Or, just when it is easier. I'm happy to be full time at WDW.

Holy cow. Hope everyone recovers soon.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. MIL has Sepsis. I had to go look it up. It is basically a full body/blood infection that can be fatal if it god untreated. Apparently all the medications she takes daily can mask the early symptoms. In ICU and being treated. DW didn't sound overly concerned when she called with the update so I am guessing she is on her way to recovery or at least the prognosis is good.

And it's only Tuesday.:scared::faint:

Lots of angry messages to DDs school today. Every other school in the area was on 2hr delay this morning. I had late start for work so I was at home watching news and the school website. Waited till last minute for announcement and it didn't come in so I took them to school in my wife's car, since it has a heater. As I pulled into the drive at school a teacher came out and said they would delay 2hrs. Well the teachers were there so they could stay, I said fine and got her unloaded and headed back to house. I took my wife's blow dryer out to my truck and was trying to warm up the cab enough to get the ice off of my car when DDs teacher called and said they were cancelling school for the day. ***. Nothing like the last minute right? Finally got my truck drivable to pick her up, drop her off at my wife's office and slide on into work. Just get coffee made and started working when our company decided to close for the day.
I lost an entire morning cause the school and my boss couldn't decide when and if we should come in until I was already there.

Health Update:

FIL came home from the hospital last night. Seems to be feeling better. Blood tests were all negative so it must have been an infection or virus. Either way, he is feeling better.

Uncle still in hospital having fluid drains from his lungs. They think he'll recover, but it will be a few more days before he is past this episode and able to go home. In any event, he is resting comfortably with nurses at his beckon call.

And they say it comes in 3's. :headache::mad::headache: MIL was admitted to the hospital early this morning. They needed to call an ambulance due to pain and not feeling well. DW said they thought it may be Kidney stones:confused3, but who knows. At this rate, nothing is getting done around the house and we'll never be ready to travel in a few weeks. At this point, I may need prayers for everyone to get better so I don't have to cancel the Dominican trip.:headache:

More prayers this all gets sorted out. You need to get where it's warm.

I think there is nothing wrong with that. Best be safe the way things are going around.

Do you guys know the average human body contains enough bone to make an average human skeleton ?

Just my thought for the day

I thought I saw a post where someone from Mass. was dissing on NJ? Not only is that the pot calling the kettle black, that's the pot holding the hot kettle bare handed and wondering where the smell of burning meat is coming from......

Sorry to hear about all that. People have just lost common sense.

I think there was a quote on the Simpson's this week where Mr. Burns revealed he installed a $1 million dollar camera system to prevent the $7,000 of theft at the plant last year. Can't close school with snow and freezing weather because the kids can't get educated without pajama day.

Mid April we are set to leave. I have a feeling we will be there for Easter.

That is cool. It will be here sooner than you think.

I've also heard that if you took all of the blood vessels from an adult male and laid them end to end, he'd be dead.

Considering all the challenges with the weather and associated schools handling of, family health situations ranging from the common cold to the ICU, FP+ and its apparent gaps at this point, a Super Bowl that does not appear to have a DISDad team favorite in it. Here's an Irish toast and a tip of the glass, to a group of guys that have a lot of class - cheers

Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.
