DD and I go every year on Christmas break. The shows are very well done. They had a 30 foot Ursula, the crocodile from PP and Hook as villains. No Aladdin this year. DD missed Genie. Still a lot of fun though and something I think we'll do until the day I am put into the sod.
:thumbsup2 That is good stuff right there :thumbsup2
Holding out for a management position? :rolleyes1

Almost made it to 20 degrees today. I'm thinking Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner just for the fat and grease to help keep my alive during this cold spell. Then and and maybe when I wake up it will be Spring!

Sounds like a plan to me :thumbsup2

Looks like a sound plan to me - only with one of these :drinking1

Thanks guys, it was just incredulous what was said. I've seen it before where she's kept her kids home JUST because busses were cancelled, but not the schools. When you live 15 minutes away that is no excuse.

If for any other reason though SUCK IT UP. You are freaking Canadian. Rofl.

Brent, I share in your frustration. All we can do is keep telling our kids to not turn out like those people. I have a BIL who turns 38 this year and his two kids live with him at his parents house. My MIL, wakes, feeds, takes the kids to school and then turns arounds and picks up, feeds, puts them to bed. He is too busy on the computer looking for a job. He has been unemployed since 2009.

I know some who are employed yet haven't worked in years. Or it just seems that way.

I feel your frustration Brent. Tell them to move to the US. Obama will take care of them.:thumbsup2 :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

No way I'd do that to you guys It sounds like you guys have got enough as it is.

Baby update: DW was feeling lousy and having regular contractions, so the doctor sent us to the hospital last night...

...and it was a false alarm. So they sent us home. DW is pretty well convinced she will never, ever give birth, and don't you dare try to argue the point. :scared1:
.
]

So, maybe she'll go during the Pro Bowl, which would the reflect the FB picture announcement from Hawaii. :thumbsup2

Both my kids were dragged out kicking and screaming. DS was 2 weeks late, DD because I was leaving on business either way and was also a week late. They are still just as stubborn now as they were then.:headache:

My dds were both early c-section. Oldest was because DW had pre-eclampsia and was out a month early. The second was still early, but monitored more closely. Now, they are late to go everywhere.

Sorry guys, I came across this on FB today, needless to say this person is no longer a friend.

What the hell is wrong with people?

Initially, I had to agree because I think school here stinks as well. We'll be going to June so that we can make up movie day, pajama day, field day, carnival day, renaissance day, etc so the teacher can get paid enough tax money. But, once I got to other stuff, the rant kinda lost its meaning.

What is wrong with people? They feel entitled to act that way.

I think my insulation level is sufficient to last the cold - but I would prefer it be warm.

I am forever chasing both kids around in the morning to make sure they get on the bus.

Yeah that "make up days" rule is strange. If we have a snow day that day is gonzo. Mind you school year already lasts to the end of June here. Also crazy is the fact with all the deep freeze, ice storms, and snow we have YET to have school cancelled. Mind you a lot hit during Christmas break.

Just booked BWV for Dec. 14-18, wait listed for the 13th. That is the good news. The bad news is depending on taxes, I may have to cancel the RCL cruise. Will know sometime next month.

So we are hoping to take our first cruise at the end of the year/beginning of next year. Anybody have any suggestions as to cabin location and any pointers for a first timer? We are going to be booking on the Disney Dream.

We were on the Dream last year and had cabin 10166. It was an aft cabin that could sleep 4. Fantastic location and a huge deck.

We didn't do a lot in Nassau, spent a couple of hours looking around and then got back on-board.
