All I know is they sold it at the Norway pavillion in EPCOT. Maybe Norway invaded and took over the Danes' beer.

I asked the CM one day why there was no beer being sold that was actually from Norway and he didn't know. I think they sell Bud or Miller Lite and Carlsberg.

So it's begun... I got a txt from my Disney crazy coworker her husband was notified that he is in the bucket of people who could lose their Air Force Career. She said they were thinking of volunteering to separate because if they do they get an extra 10G's in my mind though not enough extra money because he could make that in less than half a year if he stays in. I do believe that he has a job that on the outside has a higher potential for earning. My job has more jobs out there but lower pay..... Here is hoping I don’t get notified. :scared:

Prayers that it doesn't

You’ll never be older than me, so you not old (at least that’s the way I explain it to my DW).
Enjoy the nap though.

DW loves to remind me I am older then her. I think she just likes picking on me :rotfl2:

The compassion is evident.:lmao::lmao: DW fell a couple of weeks ago and is still complaining she hurt her arm/shoulder. I told her she should go to the doctor and have it checked. She keeps asking me to look at it and my response has been….."If you can move it, it's not broken".:rotfl2::rotfl2: She is not amused.

DW's Stepfather loves to mention "It's a long way from your heart". Actually to be fair, she gets overly alarmed when I hurt myself. Probably because she thinks me as an old man....:rotfl2:

I had always heard how great the Norwegian beer was (Carlsberg?). I tried one last month for about $9. Pretty good but not worth all the fuss.

Carlsberg is Danish.

They used to have a Norweigian beer Ringes or something to that effect, but was replaced by the far more popular (and marketable) Carlsberg. Likely the company that owns Carlsberg has deeper pockets for sponsership and representation. I've seen stuff like this happen all the time.

For the record my co-worker is from Denmark, won;t touch Carlsberg..:rotfl2:

Did a touch of research, it appears Carlsberg bought out the company that made Ringes, and likely replaced it at Norway to push their flagship brand. :sad2:

This is why you need to do the beer show on DisDads Radio! :thumbsup2

Good info gentlemen. Tell me this. Is the beer in the Germany pavilion actualy German? I bought Carlsberg partly because I thought I was experiencing a bit of Norway. I'll be avoiding it from now on. I don't want to make the same mistake in Germany.

I’ll second that.
Or at least we need something like a “Weekly BigTiki Brew Review” posted on the thread.

:thumbsup2

Hummm… May need to nurse it a bit more then. Don’t read too much into my not liking something though. I have a very long and notorious habit of getting over one series or another about two or three years before everyone else does. I’m also very picky about my viewing choices. Even if it’s a good story and/or well written… if I don’t particularly like the characters, I’ll drop it rather quickly.

If you like it, you like it. My opinion don’t really much matter now do it?

You know how it is. When you love something, you want others to love it too. I hate that feeling when I recommend something to friends and they come back and tell me they hated it. Not that it ever happens, of course. :rolleyes1

I've wasted a lot of my life in front of the tv so I can speak with a little authority on this topic. This was actually time well spent. I'm not really a sci-fi fan but you don't have to be at all to enjoy this show. I'm actually jealous of those of you who haven't seen it yet. You get to enjoy it for the first time. There are very few things in the entertaiment world that I would say that about- a few exceptional Batman graphic novels, Godfather 1 and 2, and this show (plus Guns 'n Roses "Appetite"- but I digress). I think it was that good.

High praise indeed!

It also helps that I watched this shortly after "LOST" ended. That show meandered a ton over the years, but every episode of Battlestar moved the story forward a good amount. After Lost, I was really able to appreciate that.

Breaking Bad is similar that way. Sometimes it feels slow, but there's always something being accomplished. Very little fat on that show.

And this is from a guy who enjoyed LOST for the most part. I didn't mind some of the meandering because I thought the characters were interesting.

Yeah, I know you are safe wth those. I know Beirgarten's stuff are legit, we even sell Radeberger here in Ontario.

Work can be a real hindrance to enjoyment.
If it weren’t for that whole needing the compensation thing, I’d skip it entirely.
Hope that things clear up enough in the near for you to partake of some future excursions.

It defines how you define compensation. I, like most, think you work, invest your money, and retire to WDW. But, what is had just went to work inside WDW or live in my camper in front of CJs house and mooch off him. There has to be a better way.

Wasting time on front of TV? Never. I sometimes think it would be nice to have a hobby. But, I can drink beer and watch many hobbies all day long. My way works better for me.

For the record, I think you should be sending beer samples my way.

Home from work early ownage.

Safe travels to all those headed to the World.
Of course once you get there, Ill hate you as much as the rest that are already down there, but you should still have a great time.
!

Don't be hating. Hating is just way too much effort.

It's always your fault. You did tell her to go to the dr. I would have asked mine if the copay was really necessary.

That's why plan B is beer.:thumbsup2
:

Was plan A bourbon? I'm in.

.

That is scary. I hope you all make it thru.

Afternoon Gentlemen. Its up to 3 today. I almost broke out the shorts.

Safe travels to all of you headed to the world this week.

Mood swings definitely do not go away. They only grow in intensity. My 13yo will be lucky to live long enough to teach my 6yo how not to act.
Thanks for giving me that lovely image to look forward to.
Well, it's been quite a few days. School canceled for the last two days due to wind chill under -35°. But, I'm heading down to WDW tomorrow, so that helps me get through it.
Have fun storming the castle.
Morning guys. Keep warm and safe omn the roads. Watched loads of people unable to negotiate stops on top of hills this morning. Slipped on icy roads myself and fell. DW's reaction :"Are you okay? Did you hurt your hip? You're getting old now..":headache: That's it, I'm having a nap now:rotfl2:
Don't be this guy.
Remember back when they were in diapers, cried all the time and wouldn't sleep through the night? I'm afraid that was the easy part.
I never thought I'd miss the week long stretches of only getting three hours of sleep a night.

Back in Appalachia. Looks like I have missed a bit so prayers for those in need, congrats to those deserving, and warmer weather to all. Happy DDC to those fortunate enough to attend!

Family didn't make it in today so one more opportunity to make stuff disappear before they get back but I have no ambition to get anything done. I already have over 48 hours in this week. Looks like a long 2014.

Whoo hooo!!!
Got some great news today. Youngest DD got referred to the gifted and talented program at school. She starts the testing next week to see which classes she will be advanced into next year. Her teacher says she is a shoe-in for math because she already has to go get 2nd and 3rd grade worksheets for her to work on while she teaches the rest of the class so she doesn't get bored. Probably going to make it in science too.

That is fantastic!!

Listening to the local news tonight on the local EPIDEMIC of meth. Based on the arrest numbers for the year divided into out population, it was .3%. Really? Does something that happens in .3% of the population qualify as a epidemic? I used to know lots of guys on 3rd shift who did a little speed to keep themselves awake. Are they included in this epidemic?

You could always burn it and claim you needed the warmth.

Congrats to dd.

Mine won't be giving yours any competition. I was doing math homework with my 9 year old and asked her how much 3 quarters was worth. She said $.70. She won't be making that program anytime soon. :crazy2:

She didn't get accepted without involved parents. Good job, dad.

Congrats. Does she get her smarts from her mother? ;)

To all the guys down in WDW right now, see you tomorrow! :woohoo: To the rest of you; Now's a good time to come down with a 3/4 day "cold" that requires some warm weather treatments... ;)
If only I could catch that cold :(
