You guys were the first people I told. I haven't told my parents, siblings, grandmother, friends, or enemies yet.

One curve ball. Her best friends are the twins next door. The three of them are less than a year apart and act like sisters. Another childhood friend of theirs is stranded down here and needs to get back to school in Orlando. The kid's parents are real pieces of work. They allowed her to stay sometimes at their house but basically disowned her years ago. The twin's mom did more to raise her than they did. Her car doesn't work and the dad promised to have a friend "fix" it. Of course it isn't ready, so she is stuck. The live in boyfriend is useless and another piece of garbage. Top it all off, she is a couple of months pregnant and the boyfriend took himself out of the picture. The shame about it is that she is a good kid, gets good grades, never in trouble... I just have a feeling if we run into the boyfriend I may need bail posted.

Sorry for ranting but it makes me even more thankful that I have a kid that has it together.

Has anybody heard of Disney giving a firm opeining date for the Seven Dwarves Mine ride? i keep hearing March but that's more of a rumor.

Just had some yutz from Denmark post a charge against my PayPal account for some worthless Facebook game (a pox of those blasted things as well… why in the he$$ would any individual that clams to be a thinking human being pay several hundred bucks - of my money - to take part in some bloody da#n online video game).

Thank the Maker for instant alerts though. I’ve already disputed the charge with PayPal, changed the password and questions and removed the credit card from the account. Also already had the Visa folks lock down the card that was attached as well. They’ll have a new one to me via FedEx in the morning (which is rather impressive Customer service if you ask me). Now I just have to go through and change the passwords and card numbers on every other online function I use. P-I-T-A!

We have less than a month to go to the official due date. And the kids have been born progressively earlier. So, we're basically into the "it could be any moment" stage.

It is bloody cold here. How the truck started this morning, I have no idea. Orlando and Vegas are looking like good relocation choices.

Sorry about all the headaches and hope the twins recover soon. Rough start to the new year.

We had a caravan that did a similar thing. The transmit ion basically imploded. Wife drove it 3 miles and you could follow the line of fluid all the way to where it happened. Of course we had it replaced and then 2 weeks later got hit by a drunk driver and totaled the van. I don't like Murphy very much.

Sorry about the rough end / start of the year. Hope the twins get better soon.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. The kids are doing fine. DD had an ear infection too but you wouldn't know it today. These bills might have killed the DLR trip and any thoughts of DDCC3. We'll see.

Anyone else tired of the Taco Bell commercial where a dad is chasing down some punk who was surprised when the girl’s parents came home early? A well played nine iron would wipe that smirk off his face. The premiss is a total fallacy because the kid would not have made it out of the house and final scene would be me digging a hole in the back yard to bury the body.

As an aside, the Bama/OK game is a fun watch right now.

I'll turn in my cheesehead when you join me in an outdoor pool in Florida in January.

Back from the hoops games. Missed the Colts/Chiefs game.

DD had 7 points on the way to a 31-2 victory. Not to be outdone, DS had 13 points to take down his opponent 59-7. Both teams were not very strong and we had to back off a lot in the second halves. Good way to start after being off for two weeks. As they say……DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE!

Congrats to the kids on the wins today. DS and his team won both games today as well. He did ok point wise (6 and 8) but was huge on defense as always. Now if he could just learn what that little square on the backboard was for.

Hi from WDW. Well the 8:15 got delayed until something like 10 pm, but we were able to get seats on the 7:35. Bumpy ride here but we did see Wishes from the plane with all the walking from gate to gate, my hip started to complain. When got to Magical Express I had to sit down. As I was sitting there, two small kids came up to me with big smiles and asked if I was Santa Claus. Made my day! Of course I said no., but we all rode a Magical minivan and when they got off, I wished them well and said, "Ho Ho Ho".

Have fun storming the castle.

Went out to get the mail & trash. We had hardly any snow, but it is so cold, everything us frozen - mailbox, trash toter, front door, etc. Alternated heating the house with space heater and humidifiers to reduce furnace running all the time. It is brutally cold. I just might move closer to CJ after all.

In a couple of years I figure I'll have to get some boyfriend repellent.

I need to get some of those for the zombie apocalypse.

We had the flash freezing, but not the rain, it snowed with a bit of freezing rain. Snowing again likely a few more centimeters, and brutal cold. Can't remember a brutal winter like this in a long time.

We've had some crazy weather this year too. Colder than average and not a lot of snow. We've been on the edge of each storm that has come through. My parents 50 miles north and my sister 90 miles south have both received over double the snow we've had. There's barely enough for the kids to sled on here.

just wanted to post that my favorite Disney cast member is home!!!!! she had a great time in the eight months she was there. met a lot of great (and some not so great) people from all over the world. she loved working in the magic kingdom and couldn't have asked for a better role.she will always remember her days as a magic kingdom cast member and cherish those memories for the rest of her life. it takes a special person to be a front line cast member and I never knew how much crap they take from some "guest" and I have a new respect for each and every one of them. they all have a tuff job to do and do it with a smile. I want to thank the guys who asked me about her and just couldn't hook up and I would also like to thank the guys who took the time out of there vacation to say hello. it really meant a lot to her and me and had a blast meeting and taking pictures with you. she starts her classes next Monday and starts her new job next week at a local grocery store. (pointing with two fingers) she is looking forward to this summer where she will be flying down to wdw to meet up with two of her closest cp friends that will also be flying in for a week of hanging out at the old work place. one is from Oregon and the other from Chicago. I have to say, she is a different person. she no longer talks to people with her head down and is not shy talking to strangers. she carries her self completely different and both her mom, myself and her family are proud of her!!! thanks again! she is now an official D.C.P ALUMNI!!!!

That is truly awesome. I'm sorry we never found her or Stewart but it clearly sounds like she was raised right!

Hey guys!! Long time since I've made it in here!! Hope things are well with everyone, especially those I don't see on the FB page. Going to try to get back on the DIS more in 2014. Got away from it last year with so much going on. I thought for sure there would be a DDC2 thread going, but I don't see it. But then again, why have a separate thread when it's better to rub it in for all to see in the main thread? Anyone running the 5k on thursday? I was supposed to do it with the wife and kids, but when they dropped stroller division, that wasn't possible. So now the wife's doing it by her onesies. I thought it might help her deal with her anxiety over the whole thing (it's her first race, EVER) if there was someone she could look for to hang out with at the start, even if she doesn't end up running with them the whole way through. we leave in 3 days!!
