Blizzard conditions on a Thursday night ownage!

Barry

Just heard that there are 7500 tickets available for the Packers this weekend& better get on that!!!! popcorn::

Down to 4500 by the reports. They said the wind chill was in the -20's:eek:. I was at a Pats game when it was that cold. It took about 3 weeks to get warm. I'm sure they'll sell them out or some business in the area will buy them as a marketing stunt.

Not sure I would ever sit through that again. I hope all those Superbowl fans enjoy the day at the North Pole in February.

2 Days!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2<= Thumbs!

It's down to about 5000 last I heard. I looked into it - but at over $100 each to sit on in 4° weather (and God knows what for a wind chill)....I'm leaving for Disney on Wednesday. The last two things I need to be are poor and sick.

Poor and sick is not fun. I tried it once and hope never to do it again. :lmao::lmao: If my choice was WDW or a football game, I'd choose WDW as well.

I put out feelers for my Pats season tickets in the divisional round. I'll let you know what offers I get. Our tickets are already sold out and we don't even play this week.

Good afternoon gentlemen.
I have no clue how far behind I am. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Major Peanut Butter, Beverly and Tofu here. The van was making funky noises so we took it in. The transmission is eating itself and we need a reconditioned one. It also took the radiator with it. The shower drain was leaking and had to be replaced. To top it off the twins have had a nasty hack since Christmas Day. They were supposed to go to my sister's for a few days and I got a couple days to play FIFA and Civ V. Instead my MIL came down to watch them.

Sorry about the bad news and hope the girls feel better soon.

We had a caravan that did a similar thing. The transmit ion basically imploded. Wife drove it 3 miles and you could follow the line of fluid all the way to where it happened. Of course we had it replaced and then 2 weeks later got hit by a drunk driver and totaled the van.:headache: I don't like Murphy very much.

I almost forgot: Got home this afternoon and after clearing round 1 of snow I checked the mail and this arrived.

I guess it's official. Customized bands and just waiting for that 180 day mark in February.

Randall, dates officially changed to 8/20/14 through 8/27/14. HAd to back off a few days due to the school deciding to start before Labor Day.

When it rains, it pours. I hope things turn around for you soon.

Anyone else tired of the Taco Bell commercial where a dad is chasing down some punk who was surprised when the girl’s parents came home early? A well played nine iron would wipe that smirk off his face. The premiss is a total fallacy because the kid would not have made it out of the house and final scene would be me digging a hole in the back yard to bury the body.

As an aside, the Bama/OK game is a fun watch right now.

Something tells me you've thought this scenario through in detail.

Norm, I don't think I'd dig any holes when you move into CJ's yard. You don't want to be the one to uncover the evidence.

Yeah, good game. I thought it might be a lower scoring game but the offenses are sure moving the ball.

All day I've been hearing the worse of all 4 letter words:confused3 SNOW:scared1:, It has been a reality now for a few hours:(, before it started they called off school for tomorrow , I guess if you only went to school one day this week might as well have a 3 day weekend to rest:rolleyes1

Chances are pretty good that it will be a call out day for work tomorrow, since in 27 yrs I've never herd on TV or the radio that I had a delayed opening or closing:lmao:

Think I'll set up my outside fan and send all this snow up to Tim

Andy, there is no proof that I wished ill on anyone that came near my daughter. (Just wait until your Princess grows up) Oh to have the luxury of average and equipment to quickly dig a big hole. I do have an ocean nearby however.

31-17 at the half? WT?

Scary stuff. It is so cold up North that I can't even have fun with it. Stay safe and warm guys.

‘Morning all…

subtle Randall

Not sure he’s run across that word in any of the dictionaries.

No, but would you pass up the chance to work from home??

I wouldn’t…
Wish I could arrange it more often.

The only important question is whether you get paid for it.:thumbsup2

Nope. One of the joys of being salaried…
Unpaid mandatory overtime.
I believe the last time I estimated it, I was due about seven years of back pay that I won’t be seeing nary a penny of.

An inordinately high amount of misfortunes to befall someone all at once.
Hope that Ciaos and Mayhem start to mend quickly.

Tickets for the Jan-12 game down this way sold out in about three minutes. Of course the weather won’t be near so nasty so that may have been a factor. Well, that and the fact that there’s no telling when or if the Panthers will have the opportunity again any time in the near.
Still don’t matter to me, cause there ain’t no way under the sun I could justify spending the money necessary to acquire any of said tickets.

Disliked that one from the moment I first saw it. I like your scenario better, but if I were you I’d just haul the carcass out into the Glades. Gators gott’a eat too.

Good morning!

Had about 6" of snow yesterday and more on the way this weekend. They're talking like these next few days could be some of the most severe winter weather around here since the blizzard of '78. I missed out on that one, but I've seen pictures. Not too excited. :rotfl:

Here's what the temp was driving to work this morning. And they're saying it won't really get cold here until Monday. :scared1: :faint:

We're right there with ya Andy...

Total snow fall the last 36 hours is 12". We're supposed to get 5" more on Sunday.

And it's 4 degrees outside this morning.

All I can say is 5 Days 23 hours till I'm in a plane on my way to MCO!!! :lmao:

Wimp. Trun in your cheesehead.
I'll turn in my cheesehead when you join me in an outdoor pool in Florida in January.

By the way...I'm not worried.

Didn't you know, that is what Sconnies live for?
No, we live to get drunk in bars. Nice, warm, bars.

Finally, a voice of reason!

Digging a hole is hard work. With all the diving you do, I would suspect you'd have 4 or 5 nice places all picked out where the sea life would completely devour a body in under a week.

Norm, I don't think I'd dig any holes when you move into CJ's yard. You don't want to be the one to uncover the evidence.
.

No chance of that, as digging a hole would require a lot of effort.

That's why I tend to go home around 2 every day, just trying to even that up. For a little over two years, I worked a second job and just didn't show up on Fridays. I finally stopped doing that as DW was just spending more money.

No, but would you pass up the chance to work from home??

If I was "working" from home, I'm not sure how much work would actually be done.

I'll occasionally do some paid work at home. I find that I accomplish way more work at home as I don't have as many people to talk with. So, I usually just wait to go to the office. I like the people who stop by my office to complain for 30 minutes about how much work they have.

Day 15

I stole this from Scott H on DisDad FB. He suggested this be our new motto, and i'm in complete agreement with that. It also solves that other of issue of waiting to drink until 6:00 PM somewhere because pirates can drink anytime they freakin want.

I know how I'm celebrating this Friday.

One of the advantages of no TV. I don't get tired of commercials. I understand the sentiment. DD turns 10 this year and I have already made it known that I don't take prisoners or accept excuses.

Happy Friday :cool1:

Good morning all. 9 degrees in the holler. I actually had to turn on the heat in a couple of the rooms at home last night or the pipes would have froze. Not happy about having to heat an empty house.

We are shut down again even though we only had a dusting of snow. If I wasn't salaried I would like all the extra days off but as it is, it simply means I can turn up the radio. This year I am going to do better about taking the time I have coming to me though.

So does the adoption of a new motto work like a Man Law?

If so... SECOND! :thumbsup2
