Not a thing. We were there in March and it is a different feeling with it being the original and knowing Walt was there. Aren't you thinking about going to DL in conjunction with SW Celebration in 2015?

I thought about that as well along with an Aulani stay. Airfare has taken that out of consideration.

They love to hype here too… and we get 40-60 inches a year. They love to say we are getting 3 feet- then we get a foot. Last year during the blizzard, they kept saying 12-16 inches. Came out to 38'' with drifts 4-5 feet. :scared1:
?

We rarely get any snow. I would prefer a bunch if we are going to get snow.

I vote for slow death. Never happen before. ;)

I can throw up a new thread is 10 minutes and I'm not going anywhere.

I like slow death thread, although I always vote that way.

I did last year too. This year I'm making sure they can pick up liquor if they want to. Especially since one teacher said to me, "Never in my 20 years of teaching have I seen a preschooler get so stubborn." To describe DD.
.

:lmao: My youngest has had a permanent seat beside the teacher's desk each year.

Excellent idea. Plenty of reading material in there.

Come on, Randall. I know most of what we talk about is nonsense, but calling it "throw up" is .... well, yeah, I guess it's pretty much spot on.

+1 Barry, didn't think anyone would catch that. :)

Good morning Dads! Low key but enjoyable 20th anniversary last night. As in my response to CJ I tried to sell DW that the 20th is red meat and liquor but she got diamonds anyway............ well look at what I got :thumbsup2

You had me at Makers Mark.

:
How many Dads got banned that day? Sounds like something I should have been a part of.

I think many of us petitioned the moderator. Enough about the thread that we shall not discuss.

But see?! Norm's on my side. We're both closer to Mexico than you are so I'm sure that's got something to do with it.
.

Beer was good. Not food. I think La Hacienda defeated Biergarten in the DisDad food tournament podcast.

Holy crap. I leave in 9 days.

Take me with you? Paul never showed up. I practiced jumping into moving cars for no reason.

The past few years, we've been having power outages somewhat frequently if we get a strong wind or ice. It is typically back within an hour or so, but in preparation for the time that it doesn't, I just purchased a generator so that we can at least plug in some heaters and lights to keep the house comfortable. And I hope it stays in the barn all winter. :rotfl2:

Did you get a gasoline or propane/natural gas generator? I knew not to get gasoline generator because the zombies would hear it. I thought about the other, but they are expensive. We are on the same grid with Unilever that makes Ragu sauce, and they produce 24 hours a day. If our power goes out, then it usually is back on soon enough.

No problem. I'll put it on a 3 1/2 inch floppy. You have a PC that can still read those, right?

Those the small, plastic square ones? I bought my Dell PC in 2005. It has that and CD drive. I remember the larger discs as well.

Tree looks good. Ours is still not up. DW is trying to figure out where to put it. I had a wisea$$ suggestion, but that just got me some stern looks.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
.

I tell my wife she looks like a Christmas angel. (The one sitting on the tree.)

We get to roll over 20 days by policy. I however am rolling over 50 days, yup 10 weeks. When I discussed it with the owners they explicitly refused to allow me to take the last 6 weeks of the year off. I'll use all of my new balance next year, but no may I'll ever get to take 15 weeks next year.
:

I'm planning on taking 12 weeks total by the end of the year. It would be nice to have a 3 month vacation. You buying?

Hey David! Do you have a months supply of bread, milk and eggs??? They're calling for 3 inches of snow. Might as well call it blizzard 2013. We'll be snowed in until spring.
.

YUUUP!!! French toast time.

That was the original plan. Everything is in flux right now. DW is thinking of going late 2014 for her 40th because she can't imagine going on vacation without the kids right now. With how many times she changed her mind for our WDW trip you can bet this will change a couple, 13/14 times too.

Holy crap. I leave in 9 days.

Ticker says 10.:rolleyes1

Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

Here, there, everywhere. Not so much here though. :confused3

Want to get together for lunch soon? I think it's my turn to buy. :thumbsup2

Looks like a slow painful death...:crazy2:

Absolutely. Let's try to get it in before Christmas. Let me know what works for you. I have some free time coming up.

Well considering that the toilet is currently sitting in the study, I'm a little scared of what he might do.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

As long as I take my pain meds on time, I'm doing good. See the Doctor on the 17th to find out what is next.

I vote for slow death. Never happen before. ;)

Glad your doing well. My FIL is on his second replacement on the left side. He got old and grumpy so we hear about it all the time.

Better get it ready. I can't wait for the new title! :woohoo:

Bionic Dads unite! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Sounds like both my kids. DS told his gym teacher in first grade the he was not going to climb the rope and that he should be fired for requiring the others to do so as it was a safety hazard if one were to fall.:rotfl2::rotfl2: I had to go into the school for that one. Of course I had to point out that for a 7 year old his description was probably pretty accurate.

My DD is described the same way, but in 5th grade now. Conferences are coming up. It should be interesting.:rolleyes1

I notice I've been spending a lot of time on Google Maps staring at 33.810853,-117.919053. Is there something wrong with me?

Yes, but it has nothing to do with you staring at the coordinates.:lmao::lmao:

We are still talking about a stop on the way to the big island. Unfortunately it always stops wight he talk, especially when we price out the cost of air travel.:sad2::sad2:

Nope. Had a CT Scan scheduled and the insurance company wouldn't preauthorize it. They've doubled my drugs and that's doing a good job but I'm too young to be taking a handful of pills every morning and night.

I can't believe they still haven't found the issue. Sounds like it's time for a new doctor or specialist. Have you tried stopping the meds to see if it's gone? So frustrating sometime. Wishing you the best.pixiedust:

Hey, maybe Obamacare will pay for that CT scan.:rolleyes1

This day in History: Eighty years ago today, Prohibition was repealed.

Holy crap. I leave in 9 days.

Holy Crap, have a great time.

That sucks Chris. Sorry we won't be seeing you race weekend.

Inlaws coming tomorrow. DW and DD are at dress rehearsal for tomorrow's play. Guess I get to clean the house by myself :rolleyes1. Time to get rid of some crap :thumbsup2

10 days til I get in to a park. 9 days til I get in to the van, Mr Smarty Pants.

I stopped the meds for a while and it came back. Might be an acid/anxiety thing which would explain why the meds have been working for the most part. On the upside, I ran 5 miles during lunch with no gut issues. Plenty of leg, heart, and lung issues but that's just because I haven't been running enough.
Holy Crap, have a great time.

That sucks Chris. Sorry we won't be seeing you race weekend.

I was looking forward to a decade-long rivalry with the disdad-eating cheetah, but it might not happen. It might not have worked out for me anyway- she has youth on her side and an unfair lack of career, home, and parenting obligations to take away her training time. But then again, I'm a male and therefore genetically superior in athletic endeavors. But youth trumps everything.

Thursday historic reference taunting ownage.

. But then again, I'm a male and therefore genetically superior in athletic endeavors. But youth trumps everything.

So, Bobby Riggs, when are you playing that tennis match again?

Just checked the Candlelight Processional narrator schedule. The one name on the list that I didn't recognize is the one I've got. Some dude from Desperate Housewives- James Denton. If I went a few days later we could have gotten Edward James Olmos. That dude was on Battlestar Gallactica and Miami Vice. Much better.

I love how the news always hypes these storms. Especially the first significant snowfall of the season.

I have a theory that weather forecasters and grocery stores are in "cahoots" with each other! ;)

Welcome to Obamacare :confused3 In all seriousness....I sure hope that get it figured out soon and you on the right path!

Yep James Denton was on Desperate Housewives he played Susan's husband Mike :lmao: I will turn in my mandcard now! :lmao:

I've been tempted to compare mine to the angel on the top of the tree.... Both on occasion have something stuck up their a.....sk me later she's coming in the room.

No day is complete without someone using the phrase cahoots in a sentence.

School was cancelled for tomorrow. It's cold. A little rain, but it stopped hours ago. I hate it when they cancel school prior to any bad weather.
