Really Crappy week so I have not been online much. It started off with a client's check bouncing. Their reason? A check they were expecting was delayed a week. I'll hold your damn check, just let me know.

Wednesday a big rain storm came by and I noticed a leak in the roof. Have a temp patch on it but now I get to play Miami Roofer Russian Roulette. Contractors down here are scum but roofers are the worst. Then I get to repaint part of the celling and one wall.

Finally, late last night I was doing some laundry and the water wasn't draining out of my 2 YO washer. Had to use the Shop Vac to suck the water out and the clothes took forever to dry. Appliance repairmen are just a step below contractors. Glad I have Angie's List.

Miami/Pats this Sunday and I have a feeling how that one is going to turn out. Then I get to listen to the BeanBoys do some bragging. Told the Pirate Princess to get her shiv ready for when she sees Paul during marathon weekend. Jim, she has your dossier in case you make it down. At least the Gators are off so I can just sit back and gloat over someone else losing.

Can't totally complain though. I refuse to answer the phone or look at work emails until Monday. Our weather is the envy of the entire nation. I just got back from buying supplies for the weekend, have a nice dinner planned for tonight and the rest of the day will be spent on the couch watching movies. Dirty Dozen is first up.

Halfway through this I was ready to be a good friend and offer some encouraging words and some schtick about putting things in perspective; but then you threatened to have your daughter shiv me, so forget it! :thumbsup2 <= not a thumb!

;)

Good Morning Dads - It's Friday so hope all enjoy a great weekend. Someone needs to turn up the heat, 28 this morning here

‘Morning all…
Came in to work this morning to take a break from the work at home.
Now I think I probably need to take another half day off from work to go back home and do some work.

**sigh**

Purty…
That makes me feel a little better.

A grown man with a MJ doll, vodka and cocoa butter cream...........OK I'm just going to back away slowly. ....

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I sat outside and watched the jumping fountains rather then see that. No regrets.

I approve this message :thumbsup2

Brings to mind an interesting question...dream CM job for us DISDADs...you named a pretty good one right there. I was pondering this on the Kilimanjaro Safari...

Well, since Norm called dibs on the MK, Poly, GF water route, I’ll take the launch that runs the Bay Lake route between FW, WL, CR and MK. That… would be sweet.
:goodvibes

The weather channel has 29 degrees for here this morning. It may be time to drop the lawnmower, shave the grass above the dirt, and not cut it until next June. I am the pride of my homeowner's association. :lmao:

Good plan. One thing I will not miss once we get this move finalized is the HOA.
Danged Yard Nazis…

Good morning. Left work early yesterday to go home and work on the farm. It snowed for almost an hour and a half while we were shelling corn. No accumulation, it melted on contact and we kept going, but it definitely felt weird to be shelling corn in the snow in October. :faint::crazy2:

I didn't know you were Canadian. :confused3
Nah, I didn't spell it vacatioun.

College is over-rated. Wish I hadn't spent 9 years there. I'm still pushing the kids to consider HVAC/plumbing/etc. I don't get any significant college benefits working here. Living in EKY my kids would have been competitive for some special scholarships except for the fact that my wife and I have college degrees.
I can't argue too much with the college being overrated thing. My sisters graduated in 2008, right in the middle of the economic downturn. They couldn't find anything full time related to their degrees and even when applying for low paying part time work, were told that they were over qualified.

They were animal science majors. One has worked on a horse farm breaking thoroughbreds until this August and has since gone back to school to become a vet tech. The other has been working as a teller at a bank.

Aside from the fact that a lot of jobs now require a college degree as just a basic requirement to get in the door, they certainly are overrated, IMO.

Good luck with the repairmen.

And I hope your fins get it done this weekend.

Sorry about all the hassles but starting the weekend out as a 3 day and with Dirty Dozen ain't all bad.

A very true statement.

Her plan is to sit next to you at Il Mulino. She somewhat likes you despite her, "He is only running the Half?" comment, so she will make it quick. Enjoy your meal.

Leave the meeting. Take the cannoli.

+1:thumbsup2

Sorry I'm late with pics today guys....

So here is two..

Sorry there was so much Beverly in your week. I say hire the Dirty Dozen to oversee the various repairmen.

I'm not getting a good, "Hey the weekend is here!" vibe today.
My wife who is a retail pharmacist, go is chatting with a District Mgr. today, which never has a good outcome. Not always bad, but it never seems to be a good one. Never a warm, fuzzy feeling. And they recently changed their computer system and shifts so she has been absolutely miserable with work. I can't do anything to help her and that's frustrating to me.

On my work front, our new CIO has been here long enough to start making changes. I don't mind changes, but hate the anxiety of waiting to hear how things are going to change. I'm 6 months into my current gig and really like my manager. So I'm hoping I get to stay in his food chain.

Man,we need some pixie dust over here!:lmao:

I think I'd get bored doing one of the transportation or attraction jobs. I'd either want to be a tour guide (more quality interaction with guests) or head chef somewhere. I'd probably need to learn more in either case.

i'm sitting here at work with nothing to do. I can't imagine 5 hours of this, so I'll leave at lunch time and not return. That would be my second choice for boat captain, although the direct boat WL to MK goes over the water bridge. It would be a great view of MK, castle, and CR every trip.

Not on those routes. Those are small open air boats and I could talk quite a bit.
Do you know how to be a restaurant chef?

Hate to hear about the check bouncers and roofers - although cheating people seems to be the best business practice in most places. But, I'm shocked that both you and the college experience are teaching your child how to stab people. That's a bit much, isn't it? :lmao:

Back when we had cable, I watched a lot of cooking shows. That's got to count for something.

David-

I was thinking about you yesterday. I have friends who are in Ukraine right now doing the first of their two visits. Paperwork and legal stuff now and then the next time they go they get to bring home their new daughter. These are people who hosted this girl last Christmas from the same orphanage we did. They're having a great time with her. Anyway- I hope all is going well with your journey.

Break.. Can't wait for class to be over

Hey Brent, you guys carrying this yet?

65% alcohol!
Nope, I don't think that will be seen either, board is pretty strict and cautious with anything over 40%. Took years to get stuff over that since I've been there.

Sold. After I drop $250K into a restaurant, I'll hire you as my executive chef. :lmao: My qualifications are that i'm fat and like to eat. :lmao:

I learned how to cook in the deli/bakery that I worked for in high school. So, I could fry chicken and other stuff for the to go plate lunch, but never did them per order. It's probably the only marketable skill i have.

We made time 1/2 at the place on Sunday, so while I was there in college, I'd show up around 5:00 AM on a few hours sleep still swimming in booze, make the donuts and whatever else was needed for the day. Then, I'd work in the front and clean up to get a 10 hour day, so i could get paid OT plus time 1/2. We sold out of most everything. I did that for almost two years and enjoyed it so much. I worked UPS 3rd shift during the week as well.

Now, i read and send out 3 emails and am ready for a break. :lmao:

You're hired!

For the record, no snow here yet. Not even a flake.
:scared1:

Wow... just wow!

Had a good nap. Did have to reply to two emails. What I miss?

I think I want to be a PhotoPass Photographer. They don't have elaborate uniforms, can work in different parks....I won't get sea sick...

They do get to move around too. Last trip, the photopass person at the castle breakfast later was at Great Goofini. She said hello because she remembered my ghost brew shirt. Plus, if you take bad pictures, no one complains because they can't see them until later. If you wreck the boat with people on there, then they might whine about it getting wet or something.....

You're hired! !

Great. When do I start.

I thought there were plenty of flakes.

Oh, you mean the snow.:rotfl2:

We will need a ruling from Andy if Mark wins the internet today. Would those be flakes or flaukes? Or, did I get the u correct in between the f and k?
