Great to see another Eagles fan in the group! It was getting lonely.

A time out to vent. Saw this on Facebook, so it is probably as true as an Abraham Lincoln quote found there.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Fiscal Cliff in Perspective

Tax Revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
Fed Budget: $3,820,000,000,000
New Debt: $1,650,000,000,000
National Debt: $14,271,000,000,000
Recent Budget Cuts: $38,500,000,000

Let's remove 8 zeros and pretend it is a household budget.

Annual Income: $21,700
Money spent: $38,200
New debt on credit card: $16,500
Outstanding balance on credit card: $142,710
Recent budget cuts: $38.50
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Assuming these numbers are true, to fix this mess in 5 years, the income would need to be tripled and the money spent cut in half. For those of us who prepare household budgets, that would be extra jobs for both parents, beans and rice, and no Disney trips for 5 years. While the DisDads would make these sacrifices for our families, I fear for the worse with this current situation. Prayers for our country.

And now, back to my off topic posts.

And not only that, but here's another kicker... all the interest we are going to have to pay back on all the debt we have. So not only are we in huge debt that will take decades to pay, but we won't even be able to start chipping away at that debt because of the large amount of interest we'll be paying. I think our 18 months interest-free financing is pretty much gone.

I got some news yesterday and had a pretty sleepless night last night. I can't really share any details, but we found out some news that will affect part of our farming operation. Some prayers would be appreciated because some tough decisions need to be made.

Praying for you. Sounds like major stuff there.

Did get some bad news yesterday. The next door neighbors have twins that are a little older than DD. Growing up they were like three sisters. The girls' Great Grandfather lives on the other side of us and is like Andriana's Great Grandfather. He is 96 and as spry as someone half his age. Entered the hospital for stomach issues and had to have surgery. The doctors expected the worse but he got off the respirator yesterday and was arguing about when he could go home. If you guys could keep Grampsy in your thoughts, I would appreciate it.

Praying for Grampsy

I also saw that Don had posted a bit more about a week worse than mine. Sorry about the dark cloud that your family is under Don. Prayers offered

Thanks, Mike. Praying for you and yours, too.

Our family returned safely home from Ohio late yesterday afternoon. I do want to thank you all again for the thoughts and prayers. The DIS Dads truly are an awesome group of family men who understand and care. Thanks, guys!

Morning Gents! Hope everyone has a great day.

Lot's of work to do today in order to get ready for a week out of the office. Having some minor knee surgery on Friday and will have to work from home next week. Not looking forward to the surgery. After living nearly 40 years without surgery of any kind, I'm a little nervous.

Good morning guys. :thumbsup2

Heck, I guess it almost isn't even morning anymore... been a busy one so far.

Morning guys.

Busy weekend and now back to the grind.

My Wildcats came close on Saturday. Unfortunately they couldn't quite hold on against Ohio State. Still ranked (19th) but need to step up or else we'll be out of the Big 10 championship picture.

As for the local "professional" team. The Bears are making me wonder if the 3-0 start was some sort of anomoly. Sure they kept the Saints to only 26 points, but the offense was offensive in the first half.

On the plus side, at least we're not the Eagles who lost to the Giants....what? The Eagles won? Man the Giants are bad this year.

Wow! It must be a privilege to get the thumbs up from CJ. But, I see we have a newer dad from Hawaii. Maybe he gets to go diving off the coast of Hawaii? May e we can all live vicariously thru him for a while.

pirate: I was born and raised just outside Philly. My job is what brings me to Hawaii. I'm not a diver but I do snorkel from time to time. We actually spend most of our free time at the ice rink. I play hockey and my daughter takes lessons.

If you get a chance before you move, try the night Manta Ray dive. They also let people snorkel. Not sure if there is one on your Island, we did it at Kona. Coolest thing I have ever seen underwater. These suckers are huge.

Understandable about the fan base. Do you get to do anything cool? CJ lives in Miami, works out of his home on occasion, scuba dives, and visits the topless beaches everyday. Ok, so I made up that last part (maybe) so we enjoy the life of CJ. If you are a helicopter pilot touring the volcanoes and topless beaches of Hawaii, we may want to stalk you.

CJ has been working on installing camper hookups (for several years now) so us DisDads can park in his front yard, i.e., Cousin Eddie in Christmas Story. It would be more difficult to get the campers to you in Hawaii, but we're willing to plan it -- if the price is right --. :lmao:

Haven't been to the topless beach in a while. Sorry but the camper hookups got taken out in the storm we had last week and the insurance adjuster said they will not pay to replace them.

Hey, at least Toronto failed miserably, that could have made it worse if they were still going (instead of being eliminated in what, July? :rotfl2: )

:thumbsup2. There are some fine ex-Marlins playing in these playoffs

I am taking perverse pleasure in Toronto's failings. Shows the front office got it at least half right by getting rid of those players. But they did bring them here in the first place. The year after the first fire sale I watched the All Star game. Introducing the lineups I counted a bunch of former Marlins that helped win the World Series the year before.

Morning Gents! Hope everyone has a great day.

Good luck and remember to take the drugs they give you.

Morning guys.

The crisis was averted by tapping it on the night stand. Thanks for the quick help guys. You averted a crisis here. Although DD doesn't get to touch it until after we get back from Disney. And it hurts her chances of getting a puppy. I'll expand on that story this afternoon, hopefully. Now I have to throw two kids in the shower.

Ha, awesome! We have a big *** tank armor case on ours because of the kids,

Morning guys. Only 9 more days until our boy arrives! Starting to get a little anxious.

Well, hopefully the Giants are the cure for what ales us. I plan to drink heavily Thursday night either in celebration or misery. :lmao:

That's the "first-place" Eagles to you, Mister.

Oh, who am I kidding? I can't even say that with a straight face.

Happy Monday All. Look where I ate over the weekend!

Topsfield fair. That's all it was. Bacon on a stick! And the line was non-stop.:rotfl2::rotfl2: They had different flavors. The maple bacon was awesome!

Morning all.

Oldest steering the boat outside of Olivia's at OKW. The boat is sure to sink. We have a morning breakfast here in about 15 minutes. Enjoying the sunrise at OKW.

Nice view in October. Keep em coming.

I was nervous the first time I had surgery. Do you know what drug you're getting? Once they put the needle in you, start counting slowly. I'll bet you don't make it to 5. Next thing you know, you'll be that groggy guy getting wheeled to the car.

7-9 will win that division.

Just be careful if you have a yard or any acreage, Norm'll try to get a trailer there for hook-up, Miles of Ocean will not stop him..

See? :rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao: Norm, they make REALLY big life rafts that you could just float over on.

Results of last nights Gift Auction

Spent a little more then normal this time (really wanted those WDW Hoppers) but still way ahead:woohoo:

Have fun at summer camp. I'll have to work.

Nice to see Hanley Ramirez hit a triple in the playoffs. Oh wait, he isn't wearing a Marlins' uniform. Maybe he will meet Miguel Cabrera in the World Series. Oh wait again, Miguel is not in a Marlins' uniform. Bitter, party of one. Can't watch baseball anymore.

No, no they won't. Because one of those World Series teams is going to be the bearded bandits. GO RED SOX!

Top of the morning guys :surfweb:
