iT's good. New York Strip and a mahi mahi dish were both good, because I have to sample a bit of what everyone orders. Also, reasonably priced for dinner and we had great service. The prime rib at SSR Turf Club further down river is excellent as well.

If it is in one of those two weeks on DVC calendar, then it will be super crowded. And, not just at DVC resorts.

aarrrggg yes it is in the premier dates on dvc. the dates are the 24th ,25th 26th,27th
I was thinking of taking the boys out of school and taking them .But if the crowds are going to be that bad It might not be worth it.

I think the crowds coincide with spring break. If Easter is later that shouldn't effect the crowd level too much. Which week were you thinking in April?

As far as MNSSHP- it is the best party. Way better than MVMCP. As Randall said the parade and fireworks are what you are paying for... Worth it right there.

Today's date has been circled in Red on the calendar. Tim agreed with me! :lmao:

Good morning from sunny Key largo. This may or may not be a diving trip, depends on if I feel up to it.

If you were diving, wouldn't you be down?

‘Morning all…
I see we’re having another boarder skirmish.
At least we all seem to agree that the best solution is to eradicate Beiber.
I can sign a treaty stipulating that point.

Anyone else we need to add to that list? I think we should add Ryan Seacrest.

Have any Dads been to the world in April??? I am trying to get a real feel for how bad it is.I know it is super crowded because of spring breaks but is it and worse then summer time? I have been there in June ,July Aug and late Aug so I have a feel for crowds but never been there for April. Any input?

We normally go every year at the end of April and the crowds have been very light. It really depends on spring break schedules. Since Easter is April 20th I would suspect the week after would see high crowds, too. Having the value resorts booked might be a good indication of levels, but looking at TP levels and they show 5's and 4's for the last week. Busiest week looks like the week of the 14th. Don't go then! :lmao:

True. Although, it seems to happen to dw more than me. I'm not sure if knowing my name is a good or bad thing.

Yet another reason i'm not thrilled with all this. I had to set up DW's account and link it, so no worries there. However, my dds are only 11&9. Does my 9 year old need a Disney account? I have not set up email accounts for either - dad's attempt to keep them young. I have them linked by names, but they don't have own accounts. FP+ seems like a lot if work thus far.

They def DO NOT need accounts and Disney wouldn't permit if they are < 18 (of course that's based on what you enter). I'm like you, my kids have no knowledge of email and I don;t expect them to for some time!

The intent of FP+ here was sound but execution flawed.
It makes sense based on a group and having someone who can coordinate for said group. But it's tricky once multiple people decide to make changes.

Re: the kids and their accounts...
Your wife can extend an invite via mutual friend (i.e., you) so that you don't need an e-mail. Then you can accept on the girls' behalf and DW can then makes selections for the whole clan. That way, you're both able to make choices for the whole family.
Not terribly difficult but not documented well.

Being a manager of technology, I like to see things in action versus reading the "how-to" section. And beinga man, I generally don't feel like I need direcions.:rotfl2:

Essentially, you can make choices for everyone...but ultimately, if the person is an adult and managing their own account, they can take actions for their own FP+.

Real example:
1. DW made plans for the family to do Tomorrowland Speedway. I can modify my FP+ and my girls (I manage theirs) but DW has to change her own. Same thing with cancels. I can't cancel my wife's FP+ for this one b\c SHE made the selection.
2. I made plans for Soarin for the whole family. I can\did modify the time for all of us b\c I had made the reservation on behalf of them. If I wanted to, I could have also cancelled.

It would have been nice if DW or I could override choices, simply b\c we both do planning. But i understand the conundrum it would present. There should be a setting that enables spouses to manage each others FP+.Like an option in the profile that let's you enter your spouses account name and select a radio button that says, can override FP+ selections.

In our case, my wife had made some plans that we opted to change. But now we'd need her to modify if we wanted to move to a different attraction or time. This actually caused us to lose our FP+ selection for Illuminations. When she booked FP+, she only did it for her\me, not the DDs as they weren't linked to her account. When Dis went to add the kids on, the # of FP+ for Illuminations were gone.

Way too much effort.

the last week. Busiest week looks like the week of the 14th. Don't go then! :lmao:

I would think the week of 13 to 19 & 20 to 26 would be the worst weeks. Those dates correspond to the peak dvc weeks. April was put in the second highest tier because of the extra people with Spring Break.

We are arriving on the 6th and will be gone before the madness. Arriving on the 27th should be ok as well.

We also hit a park capacity 10 one year in October, when it was originally projected at a 4. Stuff happens.

Every time I receive an email notification for this thread I think "Is today hump day....again?". Seems every day is hump day at the DDC :lmao:

You have it set up to send you e-mail notifications of this thread??? What on Earth were you thinking???? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

.

I've linked our ADRs with my dds, so I have that process down. I even linked a note for a planned QS. Then, I thought that since they won't be reading it, who cares. But, with FP+, they have to be linked. I think it makes a lot of sense for multiple families, teenagers, or Brazilian tour groups to coordinate plans, but just lot of extra hassle for a single family with young children. I agree with you - the execution just didn't work out well.

Did an April Trip in 2010 I think...can't keep them all straight.

For us it was not bad It was a fluctuating crowd. Most of Spring break was done and I don't recall where Easter was in that year.

The one negative I recall was that it was HOT during the day.
