Time is really starting to get there....can't believe we are just over a month away.:hyper:

Bet though this week will feel like it'll take forever.

I've got enough to keep me busy this week so I think it will fly by. I have lots of Canada Games stuff to take care before we leave. I will only have about a week when we get back before leaving for the Games.

‘Morning all…

And Happy Birthday to Matt

In KY, if a kid goes into state foster care, they get their tuition for free, and independent living funds can be applied to housing. I told my kids that when they turn 17 and 350 days old, they may have to take a smack for the team.
:lmao:
Nice way to work within the system.

I don't know, im in plumbing and hvac. i make 80k+ a year plus full paid benefits and a company car. retirement and investments in seven digits. made a good living being a stupid, uneducated plumber. :thumbsup2

“stupid”,” uneducated”…
I don’t think so. Now me on the other hand…

Absolutely a great gig you have and I know you are just joking but absolutely no difference between blue and white collar as long as a folk is a hard worker :goodvibes

But sometimes being a hard worker means only that you’ll work hard.
Whether or not it pays off varies widely from one circumstance to another.

The best thing in that can would be the “Certified Color”

But then any type of Bud (mixed, regular, light or otherwise) is pretty much undrinkable.

A number of pages back you might remember the prophecy I made since Don (Emma's Dad) could not meet up again this time at BG, it was I would win the lottery again (this has happened a few times already), I will be in VA this week well guess who won $250 today:lmao::thumbsup2, I would really like to meet Don , but this is starting to be really profitable:rotfl2:

Don’t mess with a good system.
Congrats on the win.

Water should be white, not yellow.

Actually water should be clear. :lmao::rotfl2: If it's white it's called skim milk.:thumbsup2

Not sure where you get your water from, but you may want to ask what they put in there to make it white. I would have to admit that white is better than yellow. I know what that is.:rolleyes1

Stupid? Uneducated? I don't see one spelling mistake!!:thumbsup2 Seven digits? I've done the math- it will take me a long time to get to that level (and I'm an uber-saver).

I fixed it. You happy now?

You Dads with the college tuition stories would be scaring me if I hadn't been married for 18 years. Nothing scares me now. :rotfl2:

The town up north finally got the pool open for lessons so the kids got in. Today was the first day and they actually had open slots for the second session so SWMBO signed them up for that as well. One hour of swimming and 3 hours of Vacation Bible School a day this week and they will be tuckered out.

DD informed me when I called to ask about swimming that she wants to be an architect and DS is thinking he wants to be a lawyer. I keep pushing for electrician and plumber but I don't think they care what I want. At least DS has raised his standards above having "enough money for food for me and a cat".

Yup. In the same boat. DS is thinking lawyer or scientist. DD still hasn't decided. I'm thinking beauty school, but the boss insists she goto college. I just see how she loves the whole hair and beauty thing and they make good money. We'll have to see.

My DD has her first swim meet this Thursday. She is like a mermaid in the water. Second year on the team and is the fastest in her age group. Even learned to dive into the pool. Last year was pretty comical off the platform.:rolleyes1

I think that was the point. Less school, practical life skills training and a good life. Believe me no one is putting it down that I know. The hard work keeps you in shape and you never have to call a plumber or service tech!

DS won his summer hoop game last night by 25 points. Had 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and a block (plays shooting guard). Now if I can just get him to start growing again. A stat line like that and 6' 5" may actually pay for my retirement.:lmao::lmao:

Happy Birthday 10dedfish

A little late, but.......Happy Birthday Matt!

And I thought smacking my kids was just to teach them a lesson. Its also a college fund.
Sadly here in Texas they only get a scholarship that is enough to cover about one book.

I would never serve the beast to friends.

All you have to know is the 3 rules.

It runs down hill.
Payday is Friday.
Don't bite your nails.

Morning Guys.

One week from this time today we will be about to hit the road to start our trip. :cool1::cool1:

Honk on your way past Massachusetts if you come that way. Not sure what route you take from the great north. 42 days for us.

Good morning gentlemen.

Here's a little blast from the past.

Pretty simple time to live. Wouldn't we all like to go back, even for a day jsut to enjoy the basic way of life?

If you've got a little bit more time...

I don't, but watched it anyway. Thanks for posting.

I fixed it. You happy now?

Happy no (too much to do), content yes. :thumbsup2

How is the weather out there? The East coast has basically been either 95 degrees or raining.......or both. Today is only supposed to be around 80, but you can actually see the humidity. Not sure that's good.

My favorite person right now is the guy that invented air conditioning.

Happy Birthday, Matt!

I think we might have stayed at that one. It has the main pool and then off to the left, a splash area? It was a decent hotel. There were a lot of cigarette butts on the beach, and where Disney contains their smokers, dds kept asking why there were so many.
Yuck... we definitely didn't notice that on our last trip, but then again, we went kind of during the off season. I hope that isn't the case. :faint:

Actually the aquirium is really good place plus some local watering holes right by it as it is in downtown Chat. DD going there for college at UTC so familiar with the town.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure we'll enjoy it, whatever we end up doing. :thumbsup2

If I'm drinking one of the big 3 domestic beers, that one is going to be my pick. :confused3

Morning guys. Anyone see the new Mickey cartoon clips on the Disney channel? A little odd but I thought the second one they released called Yodelberg was pretty entertaining. Nice to see them using the mouse a little bit more.

Thunderstorms rolled through this morning. We've been stuck around 90 with high humidity for the last two weeks. You can hear the corn growing if you step outside. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler and less humid.

She was already informed that if she is on the team, she will need to periodically pee in a cup. Part of the clearinghouse process is a long section on drugs that they need to read, acknowledge that they read it and agree to abide by it. Same policy for the men and women.
Yeah, and some of those restrictions are pretty draconian. IIRC, Sudafed is on the banned substances list. I don't really see how a normal dose of Sudafed is a performance enhancing drug, particularly if you have any kind of allergies and play an outdoor sport. :confused3
