Morning guys :coffee:

Joined Costco yesterday. In preparations for doubling our family size we wanted to start pricing and getting a feel for what bulk buys are good ones. Fruits and veggies were really good buys. During the summer we usually hit the farmers markets, but good to know they have some good choices.

Anyone else have experience with Costco?

We don't have a Costco here, but we have a Sam's membership. They have excellent produce there, and in bulk, i.e., 5 avacodos per bag. Now, if you don't like avacodos or won't them before they expire, then it is not a good deal. We make it a point to go on Saturdays when there are free samples and eat lunch. We find that if you buy what your normally would buy at a grocery store or otherwise, then you can get a good deal. It is those giant bins of cheeseballs that aren't good for you or the budget.

It's by far our favorite store... :thumbsup2

We get everything there...

OTC Meds... are much cheaper at Costco.

Their product quality is top notch, and their return policy is the best around...

Morning guys. Got home yesterday afternoon after a 9 1/2 plane flight. I was beat and crashed early. Feel better this morning. Time to restock the fridge and throw the laundry in the washer.

Great trip but three weeks was a long time away. Lots of memories and stories.

Welcome back CJ.... looks like you had an awesome time.... We enjoyed following along on some of your adventures.

Good gravy, why have I not found this illustrious group before now? I was eligible to join on Jan 1 of this year when my son decided he wanted out a few weeks early :cool1:

Just discovered this troupe after listening to a 2010 DIS Unplugged episode

Greetings from Hubbardston Mass!

Welcome to both of you! Tell us a little about yourselves.

Great morning snack for a road trip.

Good morning gents and all other DisDads.

Waiting on a truckload of 5 cubic yards of topsoil to provide a day's full of hot sweaty entertainment for myself. Not looking forward to it, but gotta cleanup the yard that was tore up during the Mancave (a.k.a. The Shed) construction.

Welcome to the club and congrats on the recent arrival! You'll find this an entertaining and great group of guys.

They've got great prices on milk, produce and meat. We also buy our paper products from them. Their generic brand (Kirkland's) is usually a good buy on things like toilet tissue, baby wipes, meds, etc.

:welcome: Dave...

What did they say about us in the 2010 DIS Unplugged?

It was a decent length of a disboards.com segment. It mostly was about the ratio of women to men on the boards (I guess a 3:1 ratio) and if straight men are uncomfortable being Dis fans

Mostly glowing praise tho. Not sure of the date. Right after the "tutus" episode

Interesting perspective... or discussion point.

I don't think any of us 700+ strong are embarrassed, uncomfortable or ashamed to say we are Disney fans... Disney is top notch entertainment, and the premier example of how ever business should be run.

We used to be members. It is a good deal for toilet paper, canned food and such. We were never happy with the fresh foods and meat so we went to HEB for parishables.

Thanks for the feedback guys!!

Afternoon....last childless day, tomorrow we go get the kiddos. Sitting around after lunch. We had steaks that needed to be grilled before we head to Sarnia. So we grilled steaks, potatoes and grilled peppers, basicly dinner :rotfl2: DW is babysitting my bro's kids tonight so we had an early dinner. :thumbsup2

Got back yesterday and jumped into trying to get ready for a month of CRUD. Written off the sweet corn trials for the year, but we got 4500 broccoli plants seeded yesterday.

Good to see the family but it was just get in and try to get caught up on everything they were behind on. Brought the laptop back as SWMBO got a virus off the public library wireless. Think I have it fixed but it was a pain in the posterior. The McAfee antivirus kept shutting off. Have I mentioned how much I despise technology? :headache:

DS wanted to come back with me but he will come back the first part of August to be followed by SWMBO and DD. I think he is getting too much estrogen up there but I spend too many long days on the road to leave him home alone yet. Another year or two if we are still here and maybe he will spend the summer.

If I get a chance I will go back and try to catch up but I am on duty for kids church tomorrow and need to read up on Macedonia. SWMBO and I usually are fortunate and get to do the discussion about the missionary of the month and their country they are in but I'm on my own this month.

A quick glance shows welcome, congrats, and happy belated birthdays are in order.
