OK guys - here's an actual Disney question....(sorry for going back to on-topic for once.. ;))

On our next trip (in 7 days :cool1:) we're staying offsite. DW and I are thinking we are going to want to take afternoon breaks so our DD's can get some rest and we can escape the heat for a while.

But, in talking, we realized taking a break on our MK days might be a little cumbersome with the fact that we have to jump on a monorail or ferry just to get to our car and then drive 20 min to our condo.

Is there anywhere near MK that we could go to for some A/C and a relatively quite place for my DD's to nap for a little while?

My only thought was the contemporary 2nd floor area. It always seemed to be rather quiet.

Any other thoughts?

Yup, I put them over in the Pub.

Afternoon Men,

DS got one soccer game in today, a 4-2 win in the pouring rain. They were supposed to play another game but the other team decided to pull out and head for home. I think the fact they they were beat 9-0 in their first game this morning had something to do with that decision.

Morning guys! Today is our bid garage sale adoption fundraiser :thumbsup2.

Since it is also our community sale we are hoping for a lot of traffic!

Have a great one :cool1:

Hope the sales are brisk and you are raking it in.

There are lots of areas at the MK resorts. That is a good spot at the Contemporary. If they are heavy sleepers the Tambu Lounge has comfy chairs and you can get a cocktail and watch TV. Wilderness Lodge has a number of places. By the fireplace and they have an area on I think the 4th floor where there are chairs and it is quiet. If you want to go to the DVC side, the Carrollwood room (lobby) is usually real quiet. The GF lobby is a relaxing place and the piano player would provide a background noise that may knock them out.

Thanks CJ - all great suggestions. :thumbsup2

Wow, quiet this afternoon. Slugging away here at work, place pretty busy for such cool, grey weather.

Opened the pool today. :lmao:

Thanks guys! We did pretty well. We sold a bunch of hot dogs and baked goods as well. DD's did great with running the food end :thumbsup2

Good to hear.

But not busy enough to not post at work. :lmao:

I think CJ got all my spots. CR is most convenient, but boat ride over to WL over water bridge is really nice.

Awesome! Could use some hot dogs and baked goods right about now myself

Better then what we have ( which is zilch)

.

Only on my scheduled breaks, the boss does NOT take kindly to those with their phones while on shift.

Nice backyard set up there, Norm. It will look great in CJ's front yard.

I'm thinking the same thing, only it will have me in my robe and my camper. I know CJ's neighbors can't wait.

Just giving you a hard time. It sounds like you work more than most, including me.

Stupid boss! :rotfl2:

For real. There should be a kick your boss in the butt day (with no repercussions). Stupid bosses.

Evening guys!

Hey Paul.

Hey Paul.

Hey. So do we have a move in date for CJ's yet? :confused3 I'm ready to go whenever. :thumbsup2

Been working on my empty-beer-can-toss. Pretty sure I'll be able to get my empties onto CJ's porch no matter where we park the camper. Green living baby! :cool1:

The move in date is as soon as DW says we can go.

New plan. Until I can get DW to move to Florida in the camper in CJ's front yard, let's do some changes. Since we have the pool and table, I think I can dig up the grass and put in sand in the back yard. Then, on the fence, I can paint an ocean scene. That way, I don't have to cut the grass and I can pretend I'm in the ocean.
