You posted the wrong cake... Here's the one we made;

Happy Birthday Randall. ;)

Happy Birthday Randall.

Tonight we had attended Amelia's "Fly Up" Ceremony, where she moved up from Brownies into Guides. The other three levels (Sparks, Pathhfinders and Rangers) formed a bridge lineand the Guides stood on one end, Brownies the other, and the Guides called each girl over to join them, going through the tunnel created, very cute (especially the tall girls going through the Sparks, the youngest level.) :rotfl2:

Congrats Amelia
:thumbsup2

First off…

Happy Birthday Randall!

happy-birthday-bacon-cake.jpg

Now then, ‘Morning all…

hey rob, what time are you leaving to head down on sat.? im guessing I will hit char. nc at around 6am or so. keep an eye open for a silver Mercedes glk350. :thumbsup2

As early as I can possibly get everything and everyone packed up.
Depending on our “Guest Star’s” schedule I might even try to head out late Friday night.

I’ll look for you on the road though.

Thanks guys for all the warm wishes. I'm glad to have it in the books. It just puts us one step çloser to getting them home :thumbsup2

Glad that went well.
May the rest of the process go as smoothly.

I didn't realize you were there that week Rob! Looks like we will overlap on Sunday - the 16th. We're at EPCOT all day as well. I believe Mike Willis will be there that day too.

Other than that - we may run into you Thursday night in MK if you're there. You'll find me easily - I'll be the guy that just OD'd on 'Ohana! :rotfl2:

Epcot on the 16th eh? We might have to have a Beverly Chalange…
You drink the stuff, I’ll try not to laugh.
That... will be a chalange!

On a side note I don't get the whole switching favorite princess thing. My favorite has never changed.
princess_leia4.jpg

You’ve got slightly different priorities when it comes to choosing princesses.
Of course… I like your priorities better.
:lmao:

Now, pass me the box of Krispy Kremes. :lmao:

Here ya’ go…

donuts.jpg

Of course, you’ll also be needin’ a box of the originals as well…

DD has taken to quoting Star Wars. Her favorite is scruffy looking nerfherder but she has also been know to say these aren't the droids you're looking for. Her only flaw is that she likes phantom menace over empire. I'm working on that

Give her time.
A couple more years and a bit more wisdom and she’ll move away from the dark side.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Sorry Randall… but that right there is funny.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

It's not that they over-roast it. If that was the problem, the blonde roast would fix it. Rather, it's the preparation method. The make their money on the fru fru drinks. So they make the "brewed" coffee by the fastest, cheapest method possible. They buy incredibly huge lots of coffee, such that the quality is uneven (partially because they use the same standard blend all the time, rather than adjusting for seasonal availability). Then they grind it too finely for drip coffee, which leads to over-extraction and bitterness.

Yah, we call the stuff “Charbucks” ‘round here.
If you like payin’ half a sawbuck or better for a cup of liquid ashes…
then that’s the place for you.

Tonight we had attended Amelia's "Fly Up" Ceremony, where she moved up from Brownies into Guides.

DW is going to take the pic and sash to make a shadow box for the wall

Congrats to you little one. Looks like a great time was had by all.
I like the idea of the shadow box as well. I think she’ll appreciate that even more later on.

Oh, and may that hack you acquired heal up quickly.

This is for Dave, Rob, Scott, Mike and anyone else that might be at WDW in the 3rd week of June. Below is the schedule my family and I will be on. We're only there for 4 days/3 nights so will be trying to cram everything in but I'd like to be able to squeeze in some meetups if possible. PM me your cell # if you think we'll have a schedule overlap that would allow for a meet.

Sun 6/16 - MK (probably arriving around lunch time)
Mon 6/17 - EP
Tue 6/18 - AK til just after lunch then HS for rest of day
Wed 6/19 - MK til late afternoon

Got it, thanks! :thumbsup2

Ours is not set in stone, and I’m certain if will change in mid stream, but the “current” plan goes like this…

Sat 15 - MK (may be late, depends on when we get there)
Sun 16 – EP (Most of the day) – MK (very late)
Mon 17 – headed to the “Dark Side” (may go back to MK late)
Tue 18 – AK (early) – EP (late)
Wed 19 – MK (early) – HS (late)
Thr 20 – More “double-agent” time in enemy territory (again, maybe at MK late)
Fri 21 – HS (early) – EP or MK (late)
Sat 22 – Breakfast at Kona and then toward home

Looks like some potential overlap on Tue at AK and Wed at MK.

We're driving down this Friday and probably going to spend most of the day on Saturday just kickin around DTD and maybe some of the Resorts while DD17 and DD15 go to that park that shall not be named... :rotfl:

Cruise Sunday thru Wednesday and back on Thursday to start hitting the parks. Our plan is:
Thursday, June 13th - MK
Friday, June 14th - DHS
Saturday, June 15th - AK (probably with a good bit of pool time at OKW that afternoon)
Sunday, June 16th - Epcot
Monday, June 17th - MK

I hope to see a few of you guys there! I'll be the guy wearing a Disney shirt :lmao:

Dunkin Donuts isn't bad. I prefer their coffee to Starbucks, although the Blond Roast isn't bad there. I played defender many moons ago as well. I would like to play again, but need to be able to get in shape to do so. Now, pass me the box of Krispy Kremes. :lmao:

Definitely prefer Dunkin Donuts to Fivebucks. Krispy Kremes are great as long as you get the donuts fresh and hot out of the oven.:thumbsup2

Our "official" Brownie portait. DW is going to take the pic and sash to make a shadow box for the wall

Very nice!:thumbsup2

Bell treats us like crap, I am surprised we still have their phones. Rogers always works with us and helps as best as possible

Agreed, we were with Bell for years, and their service was intermittent at best, and their customer care was practically non existent. We switched to Rogers about 5 years ago, and sure there have been some ups and downs... and Bell has come back with what appear to be great $$$$ saving offers, but if you speak to Rogers, they will step right up and meet those offers even for customers already signed up.
As for Home Phone, we also moved that to Rogers.

I have had those same issues with Rogers, they were a real PITA. About a month ago we had a rep try to sell us on Rogers TV and when I told him I wasn't a fan of his company he told me he heard that a lot. I thought well that is a good way to sell me on your company. :lmao:

So Dave - after you having spent $60,000 or whatever it was for 16 years of dance...does she have any aspirations of moving to the entertainment side of Disney? Parades/shows/etc?

Awesome news on the home study. Good luck!

You have taught her well...

...but her training is not yet complete.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: :thumbsup2

THAT!!! is a good question. :rotfl2: she auditioned last October in philly. she went for the experience more then anything. there are a few different "dancers". there are the pros that are under a annual contract and dance in parades, shows. there are also college program kids and seasonal kids that dance. very, very , very competitive.
when you go to an audition, for the most part, there isn't a line for people who want to be Cinderella, a line for people who want to mickey mouse. you audition and if they think you would make a good dancing mickey mouse on a cruise ship, that's the job they offer you.
in these auditions they are looking for face characters, costume characters and also dancers. if you audition for a dancer, you have to be able to sing eight bars. why, they just do.again, all very, very competitive. briana cant sing, that's why she danced.she was talking about auditioning again in September but shes not sure.
she likes the teaching end. you can eat what you want and you are the screamer not the sceame'e .:lmao:

Good morning gents. Just have to get through tomorrow and then DIS time for 9 nights / days. Looking forward to seeing new Fantasyloand and dinner at BOG plus staying at BLT - all firsts for us. Have a good day Dads and always enjoy all the kid accomplishments and events.

Giver her time. Empire is a much deeper film. Plus, for some reason that escapes me, kids like Jar-jar.
Got lucky, DS does not like Jar-Jar, amen, and is a big fan of IV - VI.

Yeah, its called my paycheck.

:lmao::lmao:

I play fullback

Played center mid in HS, Stopper in college and now have demoted my lazy butt to full back. Hope to be back playing soon. Team moved to the second highest division this summer and we are looking to get to the top. Need to win 3 of the next 5 games to have a shot by the end of the season.

All caught up.

11 hour days this week with 144 round trip miles each day. I hate being gone all week, but I'll spend next week at home the dds. They did a basketball camp last week together. Oldest will have some dance camp weeks and youngest some soccer camp weeks. Both jealous all you guys at or going to WDW, but enjoying watching the pictures on FB.

Glad your home safe!

Happy Birthday Randall. ;)

Happy Birthday Randall! I did get a chuckle out of the cake. Does that make me a bad person.

David and Andy, remember there is always next year. And Nemie, once again you are on the wrong side. Good series and you have to give it up to the Pacers. Bring on San Antonio.

According to the wife and kids, I'm always on the wrong side. Why change now?

Awake from the coughing again...might need to venture to the clinic after work, maybe bronchitis is involved. :confused3

Meh, either way, I can't stand coffee..:rotfl2:

Hope you feel better.

Don't drink coffee either. Usually will have iced tea in the summer.

Congrats on DD moving up to guide.

To you and all the dad's traveling. Be safe and have a great time!

We use 4 fullbacks and I play on the outside, still have to run a bit. We have 6 teams in our club and we play from early May until late October, typically once a week with the occasional 2 games per week. It is a masters club so everyone is 35 and over.

Dad uses Rogers for everything, gets annoyed with them easily too. But Dad gets snnoyed with everything. Not sure why we haven't switched yet.
Wait till dad gets home and finds Rogers changed the guides up. Harder to see, he'll blow his top rolf

Actually, that is neither. It's just David West. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Best cake ever.

Happy Birthday Randall.

Great series, and congrats to the Heat.

Looking forward to seeing what happens next year with the Pacers. West is the only key player they need to re-sign. Hopefully bring him back and get a little more back court depth.

And then some guy named Granger should be back...

It all tastes like crap to me. :lmao:

Congrats to Amelia!

Echoing the previously expressed sentiments...

HAPPPY BIRTHDAY RANDALL!!!

Have some Bacon!!

Happy Birthday Randall.

Definitely prefer Dunkin Donuts to Fivebucks. Krispy Kremes are great as long as you get the donuts fresh and hot out of the oven.:thumbsup2
