So far so good, how have you been?.

Pretty good. Busy like all get out at work. Next week I get to see the good Sox play the white sox in Chicago so I'm pretty happy.

Posted on the brag wall, but figured I'd post here as well.

DS got his first start today for his AAU baseball team. 7 inning complete game, 3K, 1BB, 4 hits, 1ER. First win of the season, winning 8-1. Team is now 1-16 so hoping this leads to more starts.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. DD has her antibiotic and is on the road to recovery.

Today was the type of day that makes me appreciate life in civilization. When I worked in The Philippines, if I accomplished one thing, it was a good day. Today I accomplished two things!

DD wasn't going to make it through the weekend without some major suffering so we made the 2 hour drive up to the big city to visit urgent care. I signed in there at 1:20, at 3:00 we finally made it to the exam room, and at 4:05 we saw the MD for less less than 3 minutes and were out the door. Thankfully that was all it took. She walked in, I told her what was wrong, and what was needed for treatment, she checked, agreed, and wrote the Rx. I should have been an MD but I don't like sick people. Task 1 completed.

As long as we were there we took SWMBO out for an early Mother's Day meal at Cracker Barrel. Task 2 completed. .

Excellent accomplishments. Didn't know you lived in the Philippines. Always cool to learn new stuff.

Wasn't there too long, my buikding stress was evident to all, helped speed it along. We'll know Thursday night/Friday morning.... Besides, my sister/BIL really upset my parents again, and untill this stuff blows over, I have NO tolerance for stupidity. Dad needed something out of his garage, and cannot open it up by himself (The garage is falling apart, will be replaced in the fall) so we went back to their place and st around for an hour or so, caught some of the Penguins/Islanders, and they filled us in. ...

Happy Mothers' Day to all moms out there.

Have any of you guys:

A) Stayed at BC?
B) Used a DVC by renting from someone, and if so was it cheaper than renting directly thru WDW Travel?
C) Since I am relatively new to the WDW lifestyle (yes, it is a lifestyle!), can you buy the dining plan with park tickets, or do you have to book a room thru WDW travel to get the dining plans?

I have stayed at BC a couple of times. One of my favorites especially during the summer. Stormalong bay can't be beat. Great restaurants and a well themed atmosphere.

Haven't rented out points but I know others that have. You can rent from an individual or through a broker. Rentals are going for around $10-12 a point. Renting points is much cheaper than paying WDW for the room.

Norm answered that last one.

It's not fun to watch. Granted, I don't the want matador defense that is played in the All Star Games, but the flopping, grabbing, and whining just needs to stop.

You are right. From a basketball perspective it is UGLY. I am enjoying it because you don't know what craziness is going to happen next.

Saw both DW and Amelia preform at church today, both did very well.



Very proud of Amelia who overcame her stagefright/shyness to preform in front of people.

No probs, happened at some point when I wasn't there. Mind you, if I had been there, in my state of mind, it could have been ugly. Drama was greed and selfishness issues on my sister's part.

Home from soccer. A loss today and worse, dd did not play well. I stepped out from coaching her this year to see if she liked it or was just playing because I wanted her to. She is not happy with me not coaching her. The coach this year has not rotated the players like I do, and she isn't happy. But, she needs to learn to play other styles than mine. We have had the select team debate for the past several weeks, and I just do not think she is ready. She has some of the best foot skills in the Rec league, but she has no speed. Also, her aggressiveness is just average at best. Sometimes, I think I am holding her back. Other times, I think she is just 8 years old and her whole life doesn't need to revolve around soccer.

Yeah, your stories were in the back of my mind. The fight stemmed from my dad's decision to sell his boat, my BIL got a boating license so that he could have free reign to use it. He painted the better of my dad's two canoes then told his son to feel free to use "his" canoe. NOw he wants dad's motorboat.
