We still have Canadian bacon.......oh crap, I've said too much........

Randall, I hope your penguin isn't responsible for this tree I have to go cut up in my yard...

Had a quick storm roll through yesterday afternoon. Wind, hail, 3" of rain in about 30 min. Have half of a tree down in the front yard, lost some shingles, have another tree down back by the woods and the field of corn around the house looks like a big, gen tangled up mess... Guess I'm spending this afternoon holding a chainsaw instead of relaxing on the couch.

Afternoon....

Keeping busy here at work, on my manditory lunch break (on a 5 1/2 hour shift ). Only a couple of hours left to go. Pretty busy today too, but no surprise it's pretty muggy outside.

The Canadians are mobilizing.

YOU KNOW NOTHING !! Err I mean, carry on....

Yikes, it looked like a storm was conning last night but produced three minutes of rain then nothing. Calling for possible rain/storms today but I'll believe it when I see it.

Back home from work...went okay today, we were fairly busy, but that is a good thing. Will do one more Sunday shift in mid-July, and that'll be it for the summer, really eats into family time.

Us too. Rolled in fast, knocked out power for a minute, dropped some rain, then out. DW had moved the beach umbrella to safety.

Secure all your pretzel bread and cheese soup! And just to be safe, hide all the bacon.

Done - all safely away in my belly. Give it a few hours, then ....

Evening guys. Spent a good couple of days up at the beach with the family. Back to the grind tomorrow, but headed up to Maine for the week of the 4th. Should be fun. :thumbsup2

Good afternoon from Siegburg, Germany, a small city near Cologne. Interesting couple of days. We left Newport and drove to Dover. Spent the night there and took the ferry over to Calais, France. They were having a musical festival and the town was packed. Had a great meal and took in the atmosphere. Fun evening.

Then it was a 4 hour drive through France, Belgium, and then Germany. Yesterday was a tour of wine country. Sampled some wine and visited a couple of picture perfect German towns. Today we are resting up and going shopping in Siegburg.

Maybe if I get time tonight, I can download some pictures and post a few here. Hope everyone is well over across the pond. Duck, I saw your last site visit is coming up. Good luck.

Morning everyone...

The beat goes on around here. Audrey responded well to her meds, back to normal. DW woke this morning to the same throat issues, off to the clinic for her. Sad thing is I'm feeling a little funny too, but will wait and see how it goes. Work will be super busy this week, we are heading into a long weekend, so the loads are big, and it doesn't help half the staff are out on first aid training.

Last week of school for the kids! Inlaws come up Sunday to take the kids away for a week!

Dads, stay cool if you can. It's a hot and sticky one around here the next few days.

Looks like a lot of fun, enjoy the trip. It sounds like it is eventful, yet relaxing, best of both worlds.

Well... looks like we'll miss another meet, Ron. :( We are having VBS that week and I'm part of that magic so I can't miss it. Hope you have a great time visiting!

Ouch. Glad you are safe! But sucks that it turned into a work day instead of a rest day.

Yay for back to normal! boo for feeling kind-of funny :worried: Hope it's just a sympathy feeling and not the warning signs of sickness to come.

I am really surprised to hear your kids are still in school. When do they go back to school in the fall?

I'm not sure how this happened, but here at work I've been nominated to head up a committee that will decide what our team-building event will be for this summer.:confused3 We have 65 people under the VP that wants this event to happen and I have about $25 a head to work with. The only stipulations for the event are:
- No amusement park (they know me well enough :lmao:)
- Must have some form of team-building to it
- Don't go over budget.

So... anyone have any ideas? popcorn::
