I've been wanting to buy a new grille for some time now, mine is 6yrs old, burners are almost non existent, have dime sized holes from where the burner bracket rivets were, with everything burned out it was like a flamethrower a disaster waiting to happen.
I thought I had solid justification to buy a new one, but the Boss (wife) informed me not this year

, so today I decided to restore it, I picked up new burners, they are not hard to replace normally but I had burned out holes where the brackets used to be, so it's off to the garage, my tools of choice for this project - High Speed air drill, air metal cut off wheel, sheet metal, small sheet metal screws, screwdriver & a welding hammer
I was going to weld my patches, but then the grill would last for years, and that would defeat my purpose, I don't need it to last forever, I still want a new grill
So after patching, reconstructing new brackets for the burners, making new studs for the burner guards, it worked better then I think it ever did, so while I was cooking tonight my wife comes out to see how it's working sand says wow thats works great, I knew you could fix it thats why I keep you around
OK so I'm not getting a grill, but revenge is best served cold, since I work in a freezer I'm the guy for the job

, next time she has something that she really wants to replace believe me I will fix it so it lasts FOREVER
