No problem. CJ is a gold club member, so there is lots of room on his credit card. :lmao:

Good luck with that.

I tell mine they can't get married until after college - state law - and no children to after that. Little do they know that 16 is the age of consent in KY and dropping out of school. I'll keep those hidden.

Really good luck with that strategy.

I'm exhausted now sitting in the airport waiting to head for Phoenix. As it stands now I don't get back home till about midnight tomorrow and 4 hours after that I leave to chaparone my sons 5th grade field trip to DC. I have a feeling I am going to be comatose on Saturday.

Saw the FB pic of you stuck on TT. Also the medals. Congrats on the race.

Prayers everyone feels better soon. We lost all of vacation week last week due to illness.

Sorry to hear that. Same to your kids Andy.

Really? So far we haven't had those issues, other then BOG already booked solid. Maybe it's our ADR choices? Because we haven't got the main ressies done yet, I'm doing it daily as each day's 180 window pops up. Not the best system, but what we got to work with. I'd have like to have the rest all set, but got to do what DW wishes. :crazy2::scared::rolleyes2

So far we have:

1900 Park Fare (dinner)
Mama Melrose (fantasmic package)
Chefs De France (lunch, timed to see Remy again hopefully)
Via Napoli (dinner)
Whispering Canyon(dinner)

All except the Fantasmic package are in prime dining hours too?:confused3

Try calling. Sometimes booking over the phone works better than the online system.

I was trying to get it done via the website. Maybe that is the problem. I'll try to call tonight and see if it is different and let everyone know. Thanks guys.

Wait a second....are you sure you're an engineer? Because you're advocating actually talking to a person rather than doing it all through computers. WHAT DID BRAIN DO TO YOU DURING LUNCH LAST WEEK?!?!

Little good news/bad news. Took the minivan of doom in for it's annual emissions check last week. (Luckily they only test the emissions of the vehicle, not the owner.:thumbsup2) But alas, it failed. Took it to my repair guy (who strangely goes by the name "Q") Anyway, Q wasn't in on Saturday so his underling looked at it. Said the Check Engine light was not coming on during ignition. Could be a burned out bulb, could be a shot computer - $$$$$$$$$$ (if you get my drift)
Luckily, Q figured out that it was just a bad bulb, which caused the emissions test failure. Basically - if the bulb doesn't come on, the computer fails its self test and it fails the emissions test. So he going to replace the bulb, reset the computer and the internal combustion engine should be as clean as the day I bought it.

The rocket fuel exhaust on the other hand....:rolleyes1

Calling someone on the phone is completely acceptable as long as someone else is doing it.:thumbsup2

As car repairs go, that's a win. Hopefully Q at least put in an ejector seat while he had it in the shop.

... if you could say a small prayer that our adoption application ...

Mine isn't marrying until she is 35 or I am senile (which could come sooner than the other).

Good morning. Kids are still sick, busy week ahead... Is it Friday yet? :sad2:

:sad2:

A seven-day weekend seem like the only good answer then...

You get my vote!

Just a bad bulb, huh? Are you sure he was talking about the van?:rotfl2::rotfl2:

As repairs go, this may be the best on the wallet. Glad it was an easy fix.

This reminds me of my favorite Homer Simpson quote:

"Okay, brain. You don't like me, and I don't like you, but let's get through this thing and then I can continue killing you with beer."

Congrats on the minor fix! :thumbsup2

OK, so I have been trying to book ADR reservations for the end of August and nothing is available unless you want dinner at either 3PM or 9PM. I started at 190 days out as they allowed me to do it due to the reservation. REALLY Disney? This is getting to be a pain in the a$$. The crowd calendars show 4-6 for that time. Can there really be that many people eating all day?!

So far we have only a few (subject to change):

Le Cellier
Prime Time Cafe
Akershus
Ohana (Breakfast)

I'm thinking we may just scrap the meal plan and go OOP, eat a good breakfast and CS dinner if nothing is available. It seems like I am planning our days specifically around the meals. Too stressful. We like to not plan every little thing.

OK, whining over. Everyone have a good week!
It seems strange that everything woud be booked then unless there is something big going on. I second the "call them" approach. Hopefully you'll get it worked out.

It's always nice when it's the cheap thing rather than the expensive thing and five other related expensive things that were collateral damage.

I've been doing the online approach, not too much is closed up so far, pretty much BOG. Weird

My son called to tell us he's scheduled for his 3rd year crew member flight in the #7 jet on Saturday! If these budget cuts mess this up, I'll really be annoyed!

Let's hope not. It doesn't look like they will accomplish anything yet again.

Did you get those four above or not? They really should be available that time of year, especially the credit card hold ones, which have slowed a lot of the double ADR booking.

Close enough. Tell your boss you have my permission to go home.

That and $.25 won't even get you a phone call these days, :lmao:

Good luck with that. Really good luck with that strategy.

You are just being an extra downer. Go back to drinking and beach bunny bikini watching.

Excellent strategy. I'm with you,

Mmmmmm......beer!

Looks fun - minus the cold.

Without the cold it would just be fishing....

Good Dad/son time, but you need to do it the real way, sitting on a 5 gallon bucket in the open scooping ice out of the hole! Only tried it for a couple of winters before I wised up.:rotfl:

Yup the hut is the only way to go, heat was on and snacks in the cooler!

RodBelding said:
Awesome! We did some ice fishing yesterday, not a lot of action, one pickerel and two cusk. The cusk were a good size, but man are they some ugly fish!

We caught a bunch of perch, probably 50 or 60, we only kept about a dozen. The rest were too small. Caught a few herring, but we can't keep those so we had to throw them back.

Y’all thought that “Duck Dynasty” was an accurate portrayal of life in the South?

Ah.....yup....why it's not!

True. Fishing is fun. I guess I could drop by beer on another line down into the ice water to keep it cold.

Good morning. Kids are still sick, busy week ahead... Is it Friday yet? :sad2:

Continued prayers.

Saturday we did rope drop at epcot rode TT (2X because it broke down the first time), Mission Space, Soarin, Sum of all Thrills had lunch in Mexico and then went to animal kingdom for EE,Kali, KS, Dinosour and PW, after AK we went to MK for dinner watch MSEP and Wishes. It was a fun but tiring day.

Sounds like a great day.

While its still relatively calm here I might as well do a bit of catching up.
(never know when the black hole of work will swallow me back up again)
:

You an astronaut? :lmao:

Thanks.

They did pretty well against a level of competition we don't see in the JV league. Our league play uses a fair play policy so we stuck with that even though we didn't have to. All the boys got plenty of time and they were still competitive with the big boys. The other schools, on the other hand, played with a short bench of 8 or 9 kids. There were some kids I didn't recognize when we were shaking hands after the games.

I like that rule, as long as the other team will abide by it. Our soccer league rule was that each child gets to play at least half of the game (minutes, not consecutive). I kept to it, but I know some of the other coaches don't.

It's that time of year. I think I am going to try and claim Mickey, Minnie and Goofy as dependants, given the amount that I support them.

Why didn't I think of that. Brilliant.

I think we we should push for that to be enacted into law.

We did a short trip once and clearly not enough time. As for the law, it will never happen in KY. The bill gets filed every year to raise the drop out rate to age 18 and never passes. :sad2:

Good morning! Only 5 days until the weekend :cool1:

I know this isn't as important as some of the other prayer requests, but if you could say a small prayer that our adoption application will be accepted by the agency we want to work with. They do great work and specialize in waiting children, so it seems like a great match for us. We should hear by weeks end.

Thanks
Added you to my prayer queue. Sounds a like a good fit. I hope things work out for you.

Holy Crap - I don't login for a weekend and I miss 10 pages! :crazy2:

It was a whirlwind of a weekend for me and I see Monday found a way to find us again. Darn Monday!

Hope you all have a great week! :thumbsup2
I found out the hard way that these boards are like antibiotics in that you can't miss a day. And they also have nasty side effects.:rotfl2:

All good meals, so far. The ADRs can be a pain in the ar$e. First I try online, then call them, and lastly, call DVC member services as a trump card. Good luck nailing down the rest of your ADRs.

When mine get's to dating age, I'm sure a rapunzel tower won't seem like a bad idea

Without the fish, it'd just be drinking and drowning worms.

Short trip to disney >> no trip to Disney.

Evening guys,

We had our Middle School JV Boys District championships today and here are two of the happy winners..

NMS026_zps964ef42f.jpg

The boys played amazing in the final, totally dominating in a 64-15 win All the boys except one found the scoresheet, DS chipped in with 4 points and 5 boards.

One good thing about the final was both of the schools are feeder schools for the same high school so the future is looking bright for that school.
