I miss Beverly....

I actually kinda liked it after my challenge...

Evening guys.....

Tonight's :headache: LCBO report.....:rotfl2:

-2 people went home sick

-apparently there was a second "conflict" with staff members in a week, good news there is I'm not involved. :rotfl2:

-shoplifters out the wazoo today..I know we thwarted a couple tonight though.

-a return occured that apparently involved a theft ring, the guy was under survailence and cops came in just afterwards for info and evidence. :scared1:

Two more nights to go...two more nights to go/ :rotfl2:

Nope. This year we started after Labour (Labor for us Americans that don't like to waste our u's)Day. Last year we started Aug. 27th. Has something to do with teacher days off and last day of school. Our school is in the top 5% in our state so we like to do things a little differently just to be different.:headache: It changes every year. I'm pretty sure we always started off after Labor (don't make me say it again!)Day when I was a kid. They are also discussing the concept of shortening the summer break. Not sure if that means going later into June or if they would start early. It would be awesome if they would shorten the summer break and give us that fall break in October that a lot of the dads get. We would buy DVC and book our October vacations to Disney so fast it might take down their computers.:thumbsup2

Man, I'd LOVE a fall break for the sole reason to go to Disney....:rotfl2:

uh, hummm! It was brought to my attention this morning that I was heading for 2K posts and that I should be prepared to thank the little people that made it happen. Well, thanks little people!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

On a serious note, I found these boards a year and a half ago and went from checking once in a while to having the app open at my desk at work to keep track of the posts(of course everyone thinks I'm crazy, including my wife). I have met a lot of good people and more importantly great dads while posting here and look forward to meeting you all someday. The willingness of so many to help where needed, offer support where needed and generally just have a sense of community is overwhelming and not found too often nowadays. Just a thanks for accepting me into the club and allowing to post my nonsense and have a little bit of fun to break up the day.

If the next 2K posts are anything like the last ones, I may be wearing a little whit jacket by the time I get there.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Congrats on the 2K! :thumbsup2

Hey Nemesis. Is the May race closer to the end of May so that I could take the family? If so, if we shoot for May 2014, then here's a challenge idea.

I'll accept your challenge idea to run in the race if you accept my challenge idea of who can drink the most beer.

Deal!

I do all of the grocery shopping as well. I can be in and out in under an hour and not deviate off of the "list"

I do 90% of the grocery shopping... simply because DW doesn't drive. And yes, I have become pretty good at recognizing bargains, but nothing like those EXTEREME COUPONERS... :worship: :scared1:

Morning Guys.

Heading out of town this morning for a meeting. Drive just under 2 hours, meet for 90 minutes and drive back. I hope to be back to catch the end of DS's JV BBall game this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great day.

We split it or do it together. Any saving secrets from the trade to pass along?

Thanks for sticking by me Andy. You were one of the first members of Team Tim. So, you gonna step up your game and run next year?

I don't know if it is a Dis violation, but the cleanest way I can say this is hell no.

Good work, Andy. Keep fighting that peer pressure.:thumbsup2

My buddy that ran the half with my was tracking our group's progress during the full and texted us this at mile 20

Yeah that's the way to say run now soon we'll be eating Ohana in emoji.

I'm glad you explained that. I took it to mean that no amount of running can keep you from growing a double chin. :confused3

We have pretty much stopped the weekly trip to the supermarket and spending hundreds of dollars at a time. We go for small trips and buy what we need for a few days. Things are fresher and I'm pretty sure we don't spend as much because we only buy what we know we will eat.

Not sure how we got into this pattern of shopping, but it seems to be working well.
