That's cool that you got to meet him. And despite lack of membership here, he is definitely over qualified as a Disdad!

Oh I get it...right now we have an Office Space moment (Ten Bucks if you can guess which character I am---and it's *NOT* Lundburg, nor Stapler guy)going where we have "Experts" rotfl2:) from NCISHQ, here interviewing everybody to decide how many people we should "realistically" rotfl2:) have at this Field Office. The word is they want to cut us by another five personnel (they have already reduced our number by about 15). HOWEVER, they want us to "maintain our case load and operational tempo". Sure.

Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays.

Yippeeee Wife wants to go take a extended weekend trip the the World in March..OH OH twist my arm.

So after spending the weekend in sunny, warm, low 80 degree Florida, this is what I come out to this morning....

4-5 inches of snow. My driveway is somewhere under there.

Back to reality.

Yeah, that sucked. Counted shovelling as my cross-training day.

Nice... I wanted to tell you to find a running store where you can get correctly fitted for running shoes. They might cost a little more but you'll be happy you did. I wish I did that. Once my legs are cleared for running again, I'm heading to get fitted.

In all the years I went to school, afterwards and now that DDs have been going, it has ALWAYS started day after Labour Day....

Nope. This year we started after Labour (Labor for us Americans that don't like to waste our u's)Day. Last year we started Aug. 27th. Has something to do with teacher days off and last day of school. Our school is in the top 5% in our state so we like to do things a little differently just to be different. It changes every year. I'm pretty sure we always started off after Labor (don't make me say it again!)Day when I was a kid. They are also discussing the concept of shortening the summer break. Not sure if that means going later into June or if they would start early. It would be awesome if they would shorten the summer break and give us that fall break in October that a lot of the dads get. We would buy DVC and book our October vacations to Disney so fast it might take down their computers.

uh, hummm! It was brought to my attention this morning that I was heading for 2K posts and that I should be prepared to thank the little people that made it happen. Well, thanks little people!

On a serious note, I found these boards a year and a half ago and went from checking once in a while to having the app open at my desk at work to keep track of the posts(of course everyone thinks I'm crazy, including my wife). I have met a lot of good people and more importantly great dads while posting here and look forward to meeting you all someday. The willingness of so many to help where needed, offer support where needed and generally just have a sense of community is overwhelming and not found too often nowadays. Just a thanks for accepting me into the club and allowing to post my nonsense and have a little bit of fun to break up the day.

If the next 2K posts are anything like the last ones, I may be wearing a little whit jacket by the time I get there.

There should be enough dads there to make that happen. If all else fails, just use the B.A. Baracus approach to get him in the elevator.

Last weekend when I saw the article " Man Banned From Disney World For Life" i had to read it just to make sure it wasn't about any of you guys

On a serious note, I found these boards a year and a half ago and went from checking once in a while to having the app open at my desk at work to keep track of the posts(of course everyone thinks I'm crazy, including my wife). I have met a lot of good people and more importantly great dads while posting here and look forward to meeting you all someday. The willingness of so many to help where needed, offer support where needed and generally just have a sense of community is overwhelming and not found too often nowadays. Just a thanks for accepting me into the club and allowing to post my nonsense and have a little bit of fun to break up the day.

If the next 2K posts are anything like the last ones, I may be wearing a little whit jacket by the time I get there.

Picked "the shirt" up in 2009...got a second set in 2010 on the Clearance Rack. It does draw attention...cast members remember you...people ask where I got it.

There's a blue Tie-Dye Phillharmagic shirt... but it is much tamer than mine.

Just make sure you sign up after the Captain does. We wouldn't want him to back out of the next convention just because you're going to be there.


Maybe you could offer to take him to Via Napoli as a peace offering just to make sure he goes. Just make sure you make an ADR first.
