DIS Dads DDC XXVI: They all went to the DDCC and all we got was this Lousy Thread!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.

While this guy is not a Disdad by membership...I consider him an honorary Disdad by default... REALLY nice guy. Also a very short guy... he actually standing on his tip toes. :lmao:

Lou Mongello and Nate!!!

I can't be on both teams.

:thumbsup2 That's cool that you got to meet him. And despite lack of membership here, he is definitely over qualified as a Disdad!

I can't believe how often bacon seems to come up in his podcasts. :rotfl2:

The slide is an excellent technique, just like the lean at the finish line. :rotfl2:

I know that the slide was questioned under the rules, but I believe the judges ruled in my favor! :thumbsup2

aahh. The pub is down. Can't keep up with anything on there. :surfweb:

Ditto. Hard to keep up over here. I'm sure Carl will text me in a couple days and tell me what to do.

Oh I get it...right now we have an Office Space moment (Ten Bucks if you can guess which character I am---and it's *NOT* Lundburg, nor Stapler guy)going where we have "Experts" (:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:) from NCISHQ, here interviewing everybody to decide how many people we should "realistically" (:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:) have at this Field Office. The word is they want to cut us by another five personnel (they have already reduced our number by about 15). HOWEVER, they want us to "maintain our case load and operational tempo". Sure.

Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays.

Yippeeee Wife wants to go take a extended weekend trip the the World in March..OH OH twist my arm.

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

So after spending the weekend in sunny, warm, low 80 degree Florida, this is what I come out to this morning....

4-5 inches of snow. My driveway is somewhere under there.

Back to reality. :faint:

Yeah, that sucked. Counted shovelling as my cross-training day.

I can't be on both teams.

You running now?!

That looks like the wet heavy snow, well since your legs already hurt, you might as well get your arms and back all on the same page:lmao:

Or Team Dole Whip vs. Team Beverly.

OK…
I propose a third team for those of us that ain’t gonn’a be runnin’ any kind of marathon.

We’ll just sit back and throw hand grenades at all of ya.

I can't be on both teams.

Mark, you can be “captain” of this team…
Give it up for: Team Couch-Tater

Nice... I wanted to tell you to find a running store where you can get correctly fitted for running shoes. They might cost a little more but you'll be happy you did. I wish I did that. Once my legs are cleared for running again, I'm heading to get fitted.

Lookie there Chris....someone's battery is almost dead - AGAIN!

Dumb droid. :rotfl2:
OUCH! :headache:

You can always be virtual runners... popcorn::

In all the years I went to school, afterwards and now that DDs have been going, it has ALWAYS started day after Labour Day....:confused3

Nope. This year we started after Labour (Labor for us Americans that don't like to waste our u's)Day. Last year we started Aug. 27th. Has something to do with teacher days off and last day of school. Our school is in the top 5% in our state so we like to do things a little differently just to be different.:headache: It changes every year. I'm pretty sure we always started off after Labor (don't make me say it again!)Day when I was a kid. They are also discussing the concept of shortening the summer break. Not sure if that means going later into June or if they would start early. It would be awesome if they would shorten the summer break and give us that fall break in October that a lot of the dads get. We would buy DVC and book our October vacations to Disney so fast it might take down their computers.:thumbsup2

uh, hummm! It was brought to my attention this morning that I was heading for 2K posts and that I should be prepared to thank the little people that made it happen. Well, thanks little people!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

On a serious note, I found these boards a year and a half ago and went from checking once in a while to having the app open at my desk at work to keep track of the posts(of course everyone thinks I'm crazy, including my wife). I have met a lot of good people and more importantly great dads while posting here and look forward to meeting you all someday. The willingness of so many to help where needed, offer support where needed and generally just have a sense of community is overwhelming and not found too often nowadays. Just a thanks for accepting me into the club and allowing to post my nonsense and have a little bit of fun to break up the day.

If the next 2K posts are anything like the last ones, I may be wearing a little whit jacket by the time I get there.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I think the next DDCC should have a live recording of Mark on the ToT. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

There should be enough dads there to make that happen. If all else fails, just use the B.A. Baracus approach to get him in the elevator. :rolleyes1

I'm in! Where do I sign up? :thumbsup2

I'd prefer the B.A. Baracus approach to getting me through the whole ride.:thumbsup2

Oh don't worry there good Captain, I'll be sure to pack the smelling salts too!

Last weekend when I saw the article " Man Banned From Disney World For Life" i had to read it just to make sure it wasn't about any of you guys:lmao:

I like him. Maybe I can catch him there one night when i go.

I see there is another shirt i need to add to my list.

This should be framed and posted on the DisDads wall.:thumbsup2

Glad you like it. :thumbsup2

Picked "the shirt" up in 2009...got a second set in 2010 on the Clearance Rack. It does draw attention...cast members remember you...people ask where I got it.

There's a blue Tie-Dye Phillharmagic shirt... but it is much tamer than mine.

Well that sucks for me.
I think i saw the blue ones when i was there last time but didn't like them as much.

Good idea, I'm in!

But... is it even possible for a pair of nemesises to be on the same team?

Wait…
I got a better logo for Team CouchTater

zTeamCouchTater.gif

With that kind of inspiration how can we possibly loose?
Looks like a winner to me! :thumbsup2

Just make sure you sign up after the Captain does. We wouldn't want him to back out of the next convention just because you're going to be there.

Maybe you could offer to take him to Via Napoli as a peace offering just to make sure he goes. Just make sure you make an ADR first. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Last weekend when I saw the article " Man Banned From Disney World For Life" i had to read it just to make sure it wasn't about any of you guys:lmao:
Wow, I didn't see that article. That would be quite a coincidence to see that headline as the parks are being invaded by the Disdads. :lmao:
