Good morning!!! Bonus day off work!!

Now if someone could have made the call before I drove in through a blizzard in which I couldn't see the friggin road...

Oh well, better to get there and come back home than get stuck there. I was only in the office for an hour and the drifts I'd busted through on the way in had already closed back up. Didn't pass a single car either way. Not sure how the guys without 4 wheel drive made it in. The manager barely made it out of the lot when we headed out... Hope he made it back home.

That joke never gets old. I mean you guys are just North of Toronto, probably got more snow, right? No need for an army. We are literally against the western border to Toronto, and where they were pretty much shutting down the TTC, I was on a bus to work, Our transit worked just fine. We dug ourselves out. Whatta bunch of maroons...

Hope everyone had a fine Christmas holiday.
My family enjoyed themselves, mightily, but me…
Not so much.

Left work a happy man last Thursday and woke up Friday morning sick as a dog…
From there it just got worse. Couldn’t muster up enough energy to even turn on a computer much less try to read what was going out around here. Didn’t sleep for more then two hours at a stretch until last night; just in time to have to go back to work this morning.



If one of ya’ wouldn’t mind stopping in over here for a minute or two to mercilessly beat what’s left of me with a baseball bat, I do believe that it would greatly improve my general well being.

From there it just got worse. Couldn’t muster up enough energy to even turn on a computer much less try to read what was going out around here. Didn’t sleep for more then two hours at a stretch until last night; just in time to have to go back to work this morning.



If one of ya’ wouldn’t mind stopping in over here for a minute or two to mercilessly beat what’s left of me with a baseball bat, I do believe that it would greatly improve my general well being.

Good morning fellow dads, hope all is well and everyone had a great Christmas , it's back to work I go, if I can find a dentist open I'm going to try to make it a half day and get this pesky tooth taken care of, been on antibiotics for 3 days so hopefully they can do something about it

Hope you can find a dentist and get better soon! Tooth pain is the worst.

Haha, no Christmas "spirits" were consumed but I did have a Christmas prescription , so that made it pretty interesting , couldn't take em when I had DD though

I guess it's supposed to come up here at some point later today and into tomorrow, but they don't know about snow/rain.

The snow is blowing, but it is definitely the wet and heavy kind here.
I'm getting ready to go out and clear the driveway. It will be wasted effort the way it is still coming down, but I've got a 75 hp tractor that is almost too light to get traction on the wet asphalt if I let too much snow build up before I start pushing it. At least our driveway is easy to keep clean and it doesn't take me long to clear it. It just takes a consistent effort every few hours.

We've got a big hill at the edge of our property. I'm really excited to do some sledding. Usually we have all kinds of random people who show up and use it. They are actually trespassing... not that we care if people use it, but it would be nice to at least know who is on our property. I always get mad too, because there is one really good line down that hill that you can get some good speed and distance going, but random people always show up and start packing tracks down going the wrong direction and I never can keep it going the way I want to. I'll be able to go out there and do whatever I want today!!!

Sorry about the illness. Went through my house last week. We were all better about 4-5 days after the initial symptoms. Hope it gets better soon. I unfortunately have to work today, but if you still need me tomorrow I will come down with the new bat DS got for Christmas.

Wife at work from 7-3 today. My DDs slept in until 8:30 then proceeded to play quietly with all of the gifts from Santa. Now I'm working on cleaning up this post-Santa diaster so we can play oneof the games they got for Christmas!!! There may also be some snow shoveling in my future based on what I see outside.
