With Philip's help he may make it though.popcorn::

I'm always up for helping out a fellow DisDad, even if it is for camping aka squatting in someone's yard.

Class???

What? Y’all don’t already know how to make Shine?

I thought that just an innate ability or at a minimum something you just picked up by osmosis because everyone else around you already does it.

A buddy of mine makes his own "apple pie". He offered me some right about the time a poisoned version was featured on the show "Justified". :scared1:

Well, it's not so much the shine, as the shine will strip the paint off the house. It is all in how to age it with flavor.

Thats good news-good news. You get to make it and then when it doesn't seel due to lack of marketing you get to drink it.:thumbsup2

Yeah, that is good news. But, I am looking to retire and then stay drunk all the time, not the other way around.

Kind of between the south and Maine. I guess there needs to be a buffer zone between the warm weather shiners and the back woods guys.:rotfl2::rotfl2: We are willing to learn and have the technology to improve the process.:thumbsup2

Well, I guess y’all do need a class then. :lmao:

Lesson 1:
Ya’ don’t make Shine “better”. That takes too long. If you want “better”, then open a proper distillery and acquaint yourself with the finer arts of aging. Shine is not so much a delicacy to imbibe but rather a reliable vehicle that is traversing the most direct route to a very specific destination.

If it was a buddy that was offering, then you’d have been just fine.
The stuff that’s been filtered through old lead lined radiators and/or cut with turpentine and such…

That we save for the tourists.

Back from shopping for presents for DW with dds. They initially selected some wonderful things, and I had to remind them they were shopping for their mom instead of themselves. One of them suggested I get the mikimoto Pearl necklace for the low price of $499. We ended up with an under $10 budget each. Then, onto the Chinese buffet where I ate my weight in crab rangoon. Home to wrap the presents and chill.

I send the kiddos off at the mall with $25 each. You should see some of the things they come up with. Congrats on finishing the shopping list!

I have no idea what's going on with any of you anymore. Too busy to dis lately and 10+ pages a day is too much to catch up on. Hope all is well with you dads. All is.... interesting over here.

Well… at least “interesting” still has a somewhat positive connotation. I’m sure that there is quite the adjustment on everyone’s part taking place right now. We’d love to hear about how the visit is going, but its better that you focus on your household right now. Take care and know we’re all behind you.

I'm closer to him than you and Kim says your Yule log sounds gross :lmao:

Evening all...really really busy at work, seems the closer we get to the holiday, the more alcohol is bought, consumed etc...funny that. :rotfl2:

Well guys, just had a hallmark moment with my supervisor telling me that I've really matured and stepped up since my DD was born and that he has no worries about when he has to take off cuz he knows I can run the shop just as well as him, and he also gave me gift cards to McDonald's and bass pro shop for Christmas so already a good morning

:cool1::thumbsup2 If only more bosses gave positive re-enforcements like that, more people'd be happy. Really good this time of year.
