You're lucky. I've been seasick a couple of times, and it's the worst. There are 2 stages to seasickness. In the first, you're afraid you're going to die. In the second, you're afraid you won't.

Good morning Gentlemen.

I've got a serious question for you guys this morning. Last night we read the thread announcing free dinning will be released for part of our trip in October. It has thrown us into a bit of a scramble. When the rumors came out we made a second set of reservations that would fit free dinning in case we decided to change. We have all the ADRs in that second set we want except CRT. We arrive on October 14th and free dinning is supposed to start on the 18th. We were planning on doing a week using my parent's timeshare points. That would have us checking into AoA on the 21st. We've thrown out doing a short stay at the time share and doing an extra three days at AoA, checking in on Friday the 18th when free dining is supposed to start. If I read the Disney site right, we can pick up our tickets three days before our check in. That happens to be the day we're planning on going to MK and have BBB and CRT reservations in our original plan before free dinning came out. My questions:
1) Does it make sense to tack on and extra couple of days for extra free dinning?
2) Is my math right and we can pick up our tickets on Tuesday for a Friday check in?
3) If we were to pick up the tickets early, where would we pick them up at?.

Personally, I preferred the room discount over DP. But, if I remember correctly, if part of your stay in during the FD promotion, then you get it as a part of the package. I didn't know you could pick up tickets early, but if so, then it would be thru guest reservations outside one of the four theme parks. I think there is one at DTD, but I don't remember where.

It feels amazing. Especially since we bought it resale and the process takes forever.

Made the offer on 5/15. Got my member number from DVC Member Accounting and booked our first stay 7/15. 60 days.

Now, I can only hope that I can get a similar room as we did for our trip in 2012. Great view of MK and Wishes!

THis BLT thread has a great breakdown of rooms. I've not made a room request before. I figure that in 40 years/75 trips, some views will not be as good as others. The only bad room I've had thus far is in the Carousel section at SSR.

it always makes sense to tack on a couple of extra days if you can afford it free dining or not.

...So since little Donovan has been eating some solids for 2 weeks now, decided to let him try some of daddy's eggs and bacon. Eggs he didn't care for, the bacon he completely sucked the flavor out of. And by suck, I mean you could hear him slurping on it from the next room. My boy has good taste.

Thankfully, this isn't one of our events, but since I am local, I am on loan. Of course, no extra pay, but I'm just playing on the phone now. Checked off the 200 participants, got them to right location, and now just sitting.

I remember when we did donuts and coffee in AM and cokes and candy bars in PM. Then just one or the other. Then, just water. Now, nothing.

There are 7 people with this one MCO here. So, I know that when Medicaid health care procedure is denied, it is to pay salaries .

Thanks Norm. I remember viewing this thread before we went in 2012. But I had forgotten about it. Now I'm subbed!

We reserved a Lake view studio. We really like the north facing even numbered rooms - great views of MK.

We will have four adults and two kids so FD is a better discount for us. If our moms weren't coming with room only would be better.

OK, geek time… I’ve got the Stats worked up for XXIII for those that are interested. I also figured that it was time to consider them a bit differently. Once a member of the DDC… always a member in good standing. That won’t change, but even still, times change, folks come and go and priorities get rearranged. It seemed to me that the general stats ought to reflect those changes in our worlds. So… I’ve added a new listing that reflects totals starting from the beginning of DDC-XXI (which dates back to summer of last year). I think it better reflects how the group currently interacts. The All-Time numbers are still here along with the other regular tables. If you can think of any other way that you’d like to see this useless data rearranged, holler out. I torture numbers for a living; I’m sure I can figure it out.

Anyway, here ya’ go…

I plan on testing my sea legs on a DCL cruise. My wife just decided that for her 40th she wants to cruise Europe- just me and her. But I've never cruised before so a 3 or 4-nighter will be a good way to test the waters (pun intended)...

Trust me Chris.....3 or 4 days will be enough to just make you want more!!! DCL does it the best though!!

Mark if you ever have Kidney stones just be thankful Shari is no where near you to take you to the hospital...She will stop at EVERY red light and then drop you off at the front door while she goes to find a parking spot!

Sounds like someone is speaking from experience. You didn't have any extra pull at the hospital to get curbside service?

You should keep some Oxy on hand for just such an emergency. I asked SWMBO to just shoot me and she didn't have the decency to do as asked.

Quick request for a little prayer for my dad. Been having trouble with his eye now cannot see out of it. They are not sure whether or not it'srelated to the chemo or his diabetes. It'll be basicly 6 weeks before they can address this, which is going to keep him from driving.
He's in a pretty low state right now, between the cancer and this. He just got a new trailer up north after almost 30 years, and a membership for golf and now is basicly grounded at home unable to use them. He's wondering what's next, and could use a little goodluck to comne his way. I know he'll get over this, but it;'s hard to see him like this. Thanks
