Good morning gents and have a good one!

Spent last night outside (weather for July has been great around here) with a cigar and couple of cold ones after dinner starting to plan trip for March. Nice to be planning a trip as I thought all we would do next year is Aulani in the summer and I won't start seriously planning that one until October. Gonna be tough as trip in March will be first one without all 4 of us as DD spring break is one week off from DS and she is looking at beach trip with friends :sad2:

:headache: One of those nights where no matter what anyone else does, or what you do to try to fix it, you are the bad guy. Imagine the trouble I'd be in if I was at fault??:sad2:

I had some concerns today about the Magic Bands/FP+ and regular FP, after all, the regular machines do need a KTTW card. Could find an answer onlibe, so contacted the Mouse myself, here was the reply I got

Dear Brent,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

That is a great question! Actually during the test we are allowing
Guests to use their Key To The World Cards as well as their MagicBand®
so you can actually use both FastPass® options.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

So looks like I get to participate in a testing phase of it. I readthat they were testing next week, and they included guests at the POP, so I guess it extends into three weeks from now too. Very interesting.

Also, after being shut out on the fireworks viewing through CAA/AAA being totally booked, I landed FP+ in a preferred viewing location (suspiciously, seems to be the same general area). We are also trying out one for the Daytime parade too. We will see how this goes I guess. No parades/shows in any other park though. (We took a Fantasmic dining package, so we got that covered)

Might be fun to be a part of a test phase, although it increases the chances of a snafu. :confused3

Thanks for passing along and keep us posted on how all this plays out.

It is going to be a fun next few years as I sit back and chuckle. I am especially talking to Jim and Norm.

:headache: No! Not fun.

Yeah, we'll all laugh about it as I empty the septic tank in my camper into your storm drain. I just won't be silly enough to post it on here for you to comment about.

I tell my girls to never chase after a boy. The good ones will chase after them. My dds will go outside to play basketball. There are about 5 boys there age in the neighborhood who magically show up when they walk outside. But, when my girls play them, they school them in basketball and it pisses the boys off. Yet, they still return everyday. I wish I knew karate to teach them. :lmao:

I can't wait for the cousin Norm pics at CJ's.:lmao::lmao:

DD has to deal with DS so she is capable of defending herself pretty well. With regards to her "chasing" a boy. I'm pretty sure when it's time for a boyfriend, she'll just let him know and that will be it. He has no choice or option.:lmao::rotfl2: Of course I have several plans for when that young man comes to the door.

As far as DS, I'm sure when he finally decided it's time he'll have no problems since there seems to be wayyy too many girls already with an eye in his direction. Including the girl down that street that keeps telling him she will never be his girlfriend. :rolleyes1

You know, I've been around for several months and quite a few new members and have to receive any share of said dues. Not sure they are actually making out to the rest of the general membership.

You noticed that too.:lmao::lmao: Only a few know it, but Norm is actually experiment 627.:laughing:

I was going to say good morning, but after John's post why? I got nothin goin on that even competes with Shakira :confused3

:thumbsup2

I am assuming you mean 8/21 and yes! If there is a treasure hunt possibility, we will certainly take that as a challenge that cannot be missed. And will pay it forward to the next dads coming close to our departure time.

Well that's going to be a problem. I am indeed taling about December, not August. I'll be getting there the day after Don leaves. Unless I read something wrong, I think he's a December trip.

It was nice to miss the crowds. Not looking forward to the bands either, I don't even wear my watch at the parks. I do though like the idea of a few fast passes I don't have to scramble for, in other words TSM and Soarin'

I am guessing you booked a package. I still can't see anywhere on my app that includes anything other than our room and dining reservations. Bummer for us. I'm sure DD will want a band if she see them. What section on the app has the option for you?

You'll have to report back t us on how it goes and if it makes things easier or not. 22 days!

I'll probably do one for TSM, because I would much prefer to ride the new Star Tours as opposed to TSM. However, Soarin is still one of my faves, so I will go there first, ride the ride, grab a FP, ride the Land, and head over to the Imaginarium or Seas until Soarin FP return time. Then, ride the Living with the Land again. Those are my two favorites at Epcot.

That's similar to our strategy to ride Soarin'. We usually FP TT afterwards and then hit SE and maybe JII and Innoventions while we wait.

Oh yeah, I did get a screen grab of that. :rotfl2: Sometimes the EMH is the way to go. We haven't been there on a summmer Sunday in a long tome, forgot how the crowds can be like. Even our hike down the hill to the Canadian Domain there were a lot of people, and no one ever goes down there (only way out is back up a ridiculous hill)

It was great to finally meet up with you and the kids. The only way we could have made it better was to do it at the Penguin Exhibit :rolleyes1

How did the rest of the day go? We made our way up/down Canada then through Africa back to entrance. By then we were pooped so took a spin around on the Zoomobile then headed home.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Now I know who to look for in a few weeks.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Good morning gentlemen. Got up early to change reservations for the free dinning rumor. Looks like everyone booked and Disney pulled the offer. :headache:
Work and family kept me crazy busy last week. I'll try getting caught up this morning. If I don't happy birthday to those I missed, congrats and condolences as needed. Bacon for all.

DW and DD had "Mommy/Daughter Day" at the Mall of America. (Dad was glorified pack mule.) They did manicures and pedicures. DD got her ears pierced. She did great but one already fell out and she refuses to let us put it back in. We also hit up the American Girls Store for Christmas ideas. :scared1: I thought Disney was good at getting money from my wallet. We also went to the Disney Store. Kid shirts for $8 and adult for $12. :woohoo:

Have a good week everyone.

We had that happen a couple of years ago. The rooms were booked so fast that while we tried to decide where to stay, both our choices sold out. Maybe try a different resort.

Oh, we've been to the American Girl store around here. My wallet still has nightmares. They certainly don't have any reservations about taking your cash and making sure DD is the one that draws it out.

It is that big yellow thing that travels East to West across the sky. For you Canadians I think it stays up pretty much from March through September and then disappears for the next six months.

:lmao::lmao:

Morning Gents! Another Monday / start of the work week for those of us not on vaca and another day another dollar for Disney :mickeyjum

Enjoy the week fellas

I was on vacation yesterday and got paid! Win-win. So for those on vacation it was another day and another dollar for Disney.:thumbsup2

Just sat down and put together some stats for Disney World spending this year. Assuming we actually go on the planned trip in December, we will have spent 20 days/19 nights at the World and paid about $6700. That turns out to be about $112 per person per day while there. That total includes all airfare, accommodations, car rental, tolls, gas, food AND souvenirs. :cool2:

On the flip side... DW says this next year shall be deemed a "Disney-free" vacation year. :confused3 She claims to be "sick of Disney" (whatever THAT means) and really wants to do something different. Guess we'll see what this means in the coming year.

Meanwhile... I have a new ticker :cool1:

20 days in one year?:worship::worship: We only get the 8 days.

Sick of WDW.:eek: Can that actually happen? Quick.....does she have a fever.

You know, for being 5 days out from a Disney vacation, this work thing really sucks. I should be in total cost mode by now, but I actually passed up a day off at home to be here. DD was pretty under the weather yesterday and DW and I were sure she'd be too sick to go to daycare. So I called in. I hated to, because I'm already falling behind on a major email conversion and a day off the week before taking a week away would really put me behind the 8 ball. Well, DD woke up feeling better than ever, so I (reluctantly) dropped them off at daycare and came into work.

My saving grace is that when we're on vacation from work, my boss insists that we do not check work email or try to sneak in a few hours of work at night. I know some people have to be "always available" for work and I'm glad I work at a place where they actively discourage that. :thumbsup2

Glad she felt better and you got to get to work and prepare for the time away.

I just took a no technology weekend and when I got back in this morning they were all looking at me like this.....:mad::mad:. I am usually available most of the time. Our CEO works all weekend usually so there are a few texts or emails. Had to tell him to take deep breaths and count to ten. Then let him know I will be available for 1 hour per day while we are in WDW next month. I got this...:confused:. Guess I'll just forget my phone in the room again.:rolleyes1

In case I forget later....HAVE A GREAT MOUSECATION!

You need to come work for the Wisconsin DOT. There is a project on the north side of Racine that was supposed to take 6 months. We're now about 12 months in, and projecting to be done by Christmas. I haven't heard about any engineers or project managers being tarred and feathered, so it must not be too bad there.

Google the "Big Dig".:headache::mad::mad: Years too long, tens of millions over budget and design flaws that are still causing problems. Panels falling from the ceiling and killing people, water rushing in the holes in the wall, crazy traffic. At least we can see the sky line without the subway tracks and old roads in the way.

That's a big pile of ....................

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Well then you'd have to leave it somewhere that no one would find it until around.............Memorial Day.:lmao::lmao: We are there in a few weeks and then not back until the baseball tournament. If I can find a good spot while we are there, I'll send clues before we head home to any dads that will be after us. The first dad to find it can post.

Man this is so cool... The spotlighted exhibit is on the evolution of video games, from pong all up to cutting edge, with loads to play. I could spend all day down there., but kids want to move on. Will post tonight some pics

Final Fantasy I is still the best.

Before you start to seek out marriage counseling, suggest a Disney Cruise or Aulani. If she bites on either of those but then says that they are too expensive, bait and switch! :rolleyes1

Trust me... I am still pinching myself to see if this year has been real! :rotfl2:

Some people just don't understand, do they? You should really fool them some time and have all your calls forwarded to the CEO :rolleyes1

:stir: I have been dropping hints at DCL for weeks now... Haven't been totally shot down...yet. :lmao:

You're going to need a bigger trailer!
]

I'm afraid DW is against the camper permanent living arrangements, which would not required a lot of decorations. I'm still trying, but it's not looking good.

Scott is a player? I learn something new from the DisBoards every day. :lmao:

:
You noticed that too.:lmao::lmao: Only a few know it, but Norm is actually experiment 627.:laughing:

That would explain a lot. :rotfl:

Oh, we've been to the American Girl store around here. My wallet still has nightmares. They certainly don't have any reservations about taking your cash and making sure DD is the one that draws it out.

No store here. DW wanted to stop in the store near Atlanta on way to WDW. Thankfully ,I talked Her out of it.

I hope that the information you got is correct. That would be awesome to be able to use both FP systems. I know this isn't their intention, but I certainly hope you can take full advantage of it and completely abuse it.:thumbsup2 :lmao::rotfl2:

From what I read, FP+ is not available to paper ticket holders, and thus the regular FP system will remain there. Once Disney ends paper tickets, then that may end.

My goal is a gaudy hodgepodge of Star Wars and Disney items taking up the house. I am doing very well on the wardrobe front. The rest of the house is going to take some time and convincing the budget and decorating committees. .

See, if you can get into the camper, then the decorations become much smaller.

We should try to get them all together some time for a WDW birthday celebration! Of course we would probably need a police detail to keep them from wrecking the place.:lmao::rotfl2:

I was thinking we could have them teach the Brazilian tour groups how to behave. :stir:
