Monday ownage.

Yeah, I actually think they'll do a good job integrating them in, but still maintaining the classic Main St. Bakery feel.... I'm just more bummed that it will be closed while we're there...

Yeah, I always hate it when things are closed during our trips, but that just gives y a reason to return. See, honey, there is this bnceback offer and if we book now, we can see the notated Main Street Bakery in .....

Thank goodness this is a short work week. Boss has decreed that to save $$ we shorten the night shifts by one staffer. Never mind that:

1) 80% of the day staff leave things for the night shift to finish, it might interrfere with gossip/talking/milling about

2) He adds more tasks to the nights, since apparently he thinks all customers go home at 6 (In reality, we do almost 1/2 the business for the day in the last 4 hours) so there is nothing to do.

3) Half the people who works nights are on modified work, meaning you have to cover for them to begin with.

What the beverly......

But, night shift gets to have those pallet jack races which were really fun. (also called skids, but lingo is different everywhere)

DO you have that power?

Not to actually add them. But if someone stays here and violates any 1st class regulations like, bringing a firearm into the rooms that is not law enforcement, fighting, property damage, stealing from the resort or guests, etc... I can submit their names and reasons to Disney World Admin Team and let them make it permeant its kind of like the no fly list, but no entry to WDW.

That is not a list I want any part of!

Good evening fellow dads , hope all is well and good, I heard about the adoption that's awesome, heard there's some walking dead spoilers somewhere so I'm going to avoid those, and I wanted to break the news here first with my fellow dads, the commando WDW trip is now a go! After countless talks it was finally settled on, March 1-3rd at BLT LV studio (rented points) so currently doing the happy dance

Donald truly does have the power. I just don't get the whole hotel damage/ theft thing, but it obviously happens.

Got the mail tonight and it included a letter from the INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE. Never a good thing. Poured a stiff drink and opened the letter. Seems I overpaid by $127.42. Big sigh of relief.

Wow that's awesome, you know they have to hate sending those letters out

Looks like you have enough to have another drink.

Good score on the BLT. If you PM Randall, he will add it to the front page.

Congrats on the cash. Another Floridean who can't count. Will you be writing the IRS back and asking them for interest on the slow reimbursement? That truly would be insanity.

Long day of meetings finally done. At least the last one was fun to teach. The rest was administrative. This week is flying by.

Back from first night of indoor soccer. The program is coaching skills Monday and game on Saturday. I am not coaching this one. Well, 30 minutes into the lesson and the coach/owner teaches them how to push. He used to play soccer in college, has taught at college level, and his kid plays for club team.

I haven't taught my players how to push at this age because I thought it as too young. But, maybe that is what I need to do, as that was the reason we lost our last game. Of course, my daughter, aggressive as she is, immediately starts pushing kids. The only knock on my dd is that she doesn't have top level speed. She has all the footwork skills and understands playing in space. Some of the other kids who were way faster didn't do so well as she gave them a shove, shoulder, or elbow and slowed them down.

Just wanted to jump on here and remind ev eryone again that if you want in on the DisDads Christmas card exchange please let me know ASAP and send me a PM here or on facebook or an e-mail to Goherd1028@gmail.com with your name and address information.

Been off work the last 10 days, with a combination of holidays and sick days for my back. I'm not ready to go back to work.

Hope the back gets better. That is a miserable problem. A modified stand-up work station and switching the wallet to the front pocket helped me out.

Evening gents,
Bachelor weekend is over. My stomach has issued a formal request that I never try to eat a whole pizza in a single sitting again. The kids did great at my folks. My mom had pulled out a box of my old toys for DS to play with. Naturally it had to come with. It was full of Star Wars, Transformers, G.I Joe, and Voltron toys. When we got home DD gave my 16" Rancor a Doc McStuffins style check up. The kids already want to go back next weekend. Must be all the McDonald's, pizza, and fruit snacks they got. :sad2:

I could still use a little help.
I set up a blog for an education class a few years back. Here's the link. http://mrdayhistoryclass.blogspot.com/ I'd say just play with the features until you're happy with it. I found people look more at the left side of the page than the right so put the important stuff there. Also I found less is more. It was real easy to clutter the page with unimportant stuff.

Compared to what I have been reading in all the threads I have been in. People left and right have family in the hospital and such. I feel worse for them. But realistically back pain like crazy. I don't want to be popping pain pills because they are habit forming. But it is the only way to dodge the pain. To have brief moments where I can pretend not to hurt and be with the family having fun and carrying on having a good time.
If your body says you need them take them. Hope you get better soon.

Just added on a day to our October vacation plans. Booked a 1BR LV at BLT for Saturday with the Dream cruise on beginning on Sunday. Still won't know about the school schedule until December.
We definitely will be overlapping vacations. Time to plan a meet up as the date gets closer.

I'm not super excited about it, but I can't imagine that Disney would put anything in there that will be in bad taste. I'm hoping they would just add the Starbucks coffee menu and leave in the Disney selections, but it looks they are going more with a Starbucks menu.
Our zoo does that now. They have a sign saying they brew Caribou Coffee but the menu has different names for all the specialty drinks.

We still have our Halloween decorations up. :rolleyes2 Talked to DW and we decided that when we finally have the free time (this weekend. hopefully), we'll just box up the Halloween stuff and go straight to Christmas. No sense in packing all that stuff away in the basement, then 3 weeks later pulling all other stuff out.
I take down the Halloween and put the Xmas up at the same time. I don't want to be on a ladder any more than I have to.

Sweet.

I've got a feeling the Pirate Princess is in front of you already.

I need to do something like that. I've been laying on it or exercising. I have a 2 hour drive tomorrow which won't make it feel any better.

A whole pizza and transformers? Sounds like a great evening. :lmao:

We may end up with more days than just that Saturday, but yes, look forward to it.
